Pelican Childcare Craigieburn

I had a great experience enrolling my son at Pelican Craigieburn. Jane, the Center Director, and the room staff were incredibly kind and made us feel comfortable. The room staff also displayed great kindness towards my son, making us feel comfortable and reassured. However, to further enhance the experience, I believe consistent communication between the staff and parents is crucial. This would allow us to have a better understanding of our child's daily activities and progress. Implementing training programs focused on effective communication and customer service skills can greatly benefit the staff in their interactions with parents. Encouraging them to greet parents with warmth, actively listen to their concerns, and engage in meaningful conversations will foster a more welcoming environment. Additionally, providing ongoing feedback and support to the staff will help them realise the significance of their role in making parents feel valued and appreciated. Overall, with these improvements, Pelican Craigieburn has the potential to become an even more desirable center for parents seeking a nurturing and engaging environment for their children.

I bought my son in for orientation (3 year old kinder room), everything was running smooth my son was very happy.
The manager advised me to bring him before 11am so he could have a chance to meet the other kids and enjoy lunch together.
He wasn't given any lunch and I noticed many other children also hadn't been offered anything.

After an hour and half of orientation I went to pick my son up, I noticed one educator drag a student by the shoulder and lift him by his shoulders and slam him into the chair then shoved his chair into the table which moved over 20cm.
The educator then went and advised this child that he is not allowed to snatch or hurt other children.

After I witnessed this I picked up my child and canceled my enrolment, advised the manager of the incident (she was amazing and went to investigate straight away).
I made a formal complaint asking for this child's mother to be informed of the abuse her child went through.

This was them being on their best behaviour I can't imagine when parents aren't there

The kinder educators have been very supportive in preparing my son to be ready for school and i have seen such a big change in his attitude. I could not be happier with the service that the guys in the kinder room have provided. Thanks Anise and Polly and to all the other kinder room educators!

Samantha does an incredible job when it comes to management and I am always greeted with a friendly hello. Whenever I have had any questions or special requests for my daughter she make sure to go above and beyond with her attention to detail.

I am so grateful for the girls in my daughters room and their nurturing care for my child.

My daughter attends the service 4 days a week while I work and I can work free from anxiety & stress knowing that my daughter is in safe hands.

Since enrolling my son back in 2017 l have found Pelican to be an utmost professional daycare centre. The staff are absolutely professional. The encouragement, inclusion, and dedication given towards each child that l witnessed was amazing. My son loved it there and to this day still loves and visits his teacher Miss Polly. My daughter went there and just recently graduated to big school. Samantha the Manager l cannot fault. She embraces us all like family. She is professional, and will always discuss any issues automatically, and with a non bias attitude, I highly recommend Pelican for your child/ children to be able to thrive and develope a sense of belonging in a loving, friendly environment. Hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful daycare, and beautiful, proffessional staff from management to educators.

I enrolled my child at Pelican Childcare Craigieburn but unfortunately, my child did not have a positive experience there. I can't speak to the quality of the facilities or staff, but my child was not comfortable and did not want to attend the daycare. It's important to note that every child is different and what didn't work for my child might be perfect for another. It's important to do research and to visit a daycare center before making a decision.

My son started orientation today and he really warmed up well and doing alot better then I thought as he has a high level of seperation anxiety the educators a very warming caring and made him feel very comfortable being away from mum.

If I could give less a star, I would.
“Manager” Donna and Tracy, if you don’t know how to do your job properly. Give it to someone that’s great at what they do.
During my child’s enrolment process, the attitude and the treatment I’ve received from these ladies has already proven that I don’t want my child to be there.

Extremely terrible experience. Will not recommend anyone to send your loving kids to this childcare. My baby is so terrified after attending this childcare. I have been charged heaps more than what I was supposed to and now even after several weeks, I am still chasing them for the refund and there is always an excuse from them. Will never send my child here again.

When it comes to childcare centres at Craigieburn, Pelican childcare is the best choice whom one should be considering to send out their kids.
Their centre manager Samantha has a great control on all the areas of this industry and is always there to help you. My four years daughter has progressed a lot since she joined the centre. Their educators are top professionals who know what the requirements of you child and how to fulfil them. A big thumbs up for all the staff and educators.

Absolutely lovely staff. My son looks forward to going there the three days he's enrolled and loves the educators that made his transition into childcare so easy.

All my 3 girls have attended the Pelican Centre on Grandview Blvd, I highly recommend it! Staff are amazing, not only my kids have been well looked after these last 10 yrs but our friends too. Kids are fed well, meals are catered to suit everyones needs, rooms are always clean as well as their outside play area. Cant thank the staff enough as well as Sam, Sarah and Jenna who will always have a smile on their faces when you enter the premises. Keep up the great job guys!

Overall very happy with the centre my son has been in centre since he was 4 months old and will continue there until he is ready for school.
He is very loved and enjoys all food provided. The Centre also has lots of extra fun experiences for the kids including yoga and interactive and engaging shows with education performers and professional animal handers to just name a few.

Would definitely recommend this Center, my eldest child attended since a toddler, And made transitioning to big school a breeze and when he says tell my old educator he loves her, that says a lot. Now my other baby is there, And also loving it. The Staff are extremely helpful, The food is excellent, Many activities to delight the children. Management is so welcoming and makes you feel a part of their family. This is the BEST center for my child.

So dissatisfied, my child was emotionally hurt. I don't recommend this childcare to anyone who care about their child's feelings.

Terrible centre. It doesn't deserve even a star. My child was neglected. I Don't recommend this childcare.

Over priced and still make sure you feed your little one before and after Childcare. They feed what they like, child's likes and dislikes does not matter when it comes to feed. If your child does not like loved the most, he/she goes with the flow then its all good, but if the child is used to being loved all the times then that means Pelican is not the place to go for him/her.
