We stopped in for lunch on a roadtrip from Canberra to Melbourne. Great food, great service and dog friendly!

Christmas eve, a Sunday, and most things in town are closed. This place was was pumping on the corner with every table filled and booked, but the incredible young and professional staff were able to squeeze us inside.
We ordered a nourish bowl and smashed avo ~ both were excellent and the serving size was good.
Plenty of staff, despite the crowds, who were friendly and coped well.
Espresso coffee was OK. Water on the table

Food was exceptional, tasty and came out quickly but did not look “slapped together”. The kitchen is extremely efficient and accommodating. Lots of gluten and dairy free options. The tastiest eggs Benedict ever.
Service staff forgot our coffees but were very apologetic once they’d realised.
Paulies is great only thing that was slightly off putting is having your order taken at the table (which was nice) then about 10 minutes later we were interrupted mid conversation and asked to pay whilst waiting for drinks and food, seemed a bit random. I would suggest taking payment at time of ordering or once we’re finished, lady sitting next to us had finished eating but was mid way through drinking a coffee when she was asked to pay (interrupted by staff) she then explained that she was going to order another coffee afterwards and would prefer to pay all at once.

It's the day before Christmas eve. The town is hectic. Regardless I was welcomed and I offered to share my table with strangers.

Passing through and needed somewhere to get a bite to eat. Was served by friendly, chirpy staff. And was served an absolute banger of a lunch. Every customer was looked after that either came in before us or already happily eating. Great to see

Hello, my mother and I came to this delightful cafe during a recent trip to Wangaratta. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely.
At the end of our time there we accidentally left a scarf in a bag there, as we are from Adelaide we thought it was gone. However we found out it had been found by the cafe staff and kept. They have now posted it back to us. Thank you so much, random acts of kindness are really appreciated.

A little crowded. The staff were fantastic. But no condiments on the table, so some of the food was a little bland. We were in Wangaratta again and we went to paulies and would have to say 5 out of 5 stars for food service and atmosphere. We will certainly be back. Now I know why it's crowded.

Best cafe in wang without a doubt! Monique the manager and her team are all amazing and super friendly, very attentive and super welcoming. The portion of the food is big and absolutely delicious, it’s clear they make their food with love. I also love how diverse their menu is so my partner and I (who have different taste bud) can both enjoy the food.

Lunch was lovely, just had to ask to heat my coffee. Extra hot means exactly that. But was all lovely.

I go here almost everyday, for breakfast and brunch, it's got delicious food and great coffee, and to add on top of it, amazing location!

Purchased the chicken bacon sandwich with chips and salad. Sandwich had 3 small pieces (almost like cubed sized if you were diving up a breast) of chicken. Was mostly bread and cheese. Bread was under toasted. Poor quality. Poor value.

Unbelievable experience today for lunch service was friendly quick and extremely polite, food was great. I Definitely will be back thanks guys.

Ordered kids pancake and eggs benedict. Both done in a very modern and unique way. Delicious. Iced late was lovely too. Was a fabulous breakfast to have while passing through town. Had outdoor seating so I could have my dog with me.

Food is amazing! Very tasty. There is also a separate vegan menu, and gluten free options. I had the pumpkin salad and it was fantastic. Another person had the Mexican Bowl and loved it. Customer service was excellent! Staff are very friendly. I’ll definitely come back here.

People even warned me not to come here because of the rude staff but it’s a hot day and it’s convenient…

I’ve been to many cafes in my life and have had my order refunded or had my order remade if I’m unsatisfied. Even maccas will remake something if a customer is unsatisfied. Shelly’s as well because happy customers are better than making money. I don’t care that you have to make money, prices are prices, but when a customer says they’re unsatisfied and wants a refund, you’re not suppose to refuse because “that’s our prices and blah blah”… I’m a customer who now sees exactly why I’ve been told to avoid the place.

Very yummy food with really quick and lovely service. We had a Coeliac person with us, they took the time to let the kitchen know it wasn’t just an allergy. Will be back!
