Wow, we ️ this place - the decor, food and of course the coffee - 2nd to none! Do try the Christmas cherry & cranberry pie if they have it - best pie we have EVER had!

Path Melbourne was the last stop on our Melbourne CBD coffee tour for this time - more exploration trips to follow soon.

Path Melbourne is only serving black coffee, at least this is what I have observed. They serve a large range of international roasters, and I saw some very familiar faces from countries I have lived in or visited before, for example Mame from Switzerland, or Onyx from the USA.

The brew bar looks super minimalistic and stylish. We ordered a washed coffee from El Salvador, and before the barista started to brew, we found out that I have met the producers during the COE competition back in 2019! It is always a great pleasure to taste coffee from producers you know personally.

We then also got to try a Guatemalan filter coffee as a flash brew on ice? This one was very delicate choice, beautiful for the hot weather.

A very nice place with a beautiful area to sit outside, have a great chat over a tasty cup of coffee. Thank you.

Lovely neighbourhood cafe. They only do black coffee, no white coffee served here, which is fine for us. Very delicate pour over is what we had today

A watered down espresso is not my idea
of a cafe lunga. The staff need to learn how to make good coffee. The beans are good.six dollars is too expensive.

Beautiful coffee. Love the minimalism. If you’re out to explore what Melbourne coffee has to offer, then this place needs to be on your list

If you like specialty pour over coffee this is the spot.
Great people running it and a delicious grilled cheese too! Sitting at the bar watching the staff do pour overs in front of you is cool!

I try my best to visit Path every Monday - it’s the perfect way to start my week! Path has something for everyone - you can grab a bottled cold brew on your way to work or grab a seat at the coffee bar and enjoy your special pour-over. The space is minimal and contemporary. The staff are always so welcoming and genuine and overall, the vibe is super chill. I highly recommend a visit!

Best pourover coffee shop by those people who treat coffee conscientiously with the proper brewing technique and diligent sourcing beans. Worth a regular coming back to enjoy the ease atmosphere and distinguished characteristics of beans coming from all over the world.

I'm glad to know this shop from my friend, the best ever pour over coffee in my heart. I'll be back and recommend it to everyone.

I cannot recommend Path Melbourne enough. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Take a seat at the bench and watch these experienced barista's carefully prepare your coffee. If you are unsure what to order, don't stress, the helpful staff were more than happy to talk myself and other patrons through the taste's and aroma's that make up each coffee.

The coffee is complimented by an amazing selection of foods that compliment the coffees and teas available. The location is central; just a stone's throw away from Vic Market and public transport, but I would recommend walking to Path and taking in the vibrant culture Melbourne has to offer.

The perfect establishment for seasoned coffee heads or those like me, just beginning our flirtation with coffee.

The girl working in the morning is not qualified for making a pour over coffee, the beans here is good but the "pour over" here is like "coffee stew", waste of good beans and not worth the money (20 dollars for geisha pour over)

I have been a couple of time in this cafe
The experience is great! Coffee with amazing flavour and the staff is very knowledgeable, they can explain you everything about coffee!
Far above the basic cafe you can find in the area!

They are passionate about Coffee. Still developing their products and has good potential. Definitely for the hard core coffee drinker who, of course, has it black.

Uses a poorly designed private COVID app instead of the Vic government one which is almost universal.

These guys just opened up and they are definitely setting up really high standards for their coffee. Black coffee only, brewed to perfection - only exception being an oat iced latte available.

I was pleasantly surprised from the extensive menu of wonderful single origin beans. It took me a few minutes to decide with the help of the staff. I decided on the Ethiopian pour over with berry notes but switched it to an iced version. The care and love with which the staff were preparing it could be seen from the table.

The coffee was brewed to perfection. I was slightly skeptical with the amount of ice that was in it but I was told instantly (as if the barista was reading my thoughts) that the ice amount has been incorporated into the recipe and won't alter the taste. True it was that it did not.

If there was one thing to point out is that the glassware is amazing and delicate and even though they enhance the experience of the knowledgeable coffee drinker, more care needs to be taken in handling them as mine had a tiny little chip. The delicious coffee overcompensated for that though.

Cannot wait to return; this place is such a great addition to the Victoria St scene.

If there was a PhD program for coffee, this would be the university. The depth of knowledge in their staff is matched only by the depth of flavour in the brew.
Artisanal blends, curated and poured with perfection might be intimidating for some but the guides at Path can recommend a caffeinated experience unexpected even in Melbourne.
In a juxtaposition fit for its place in the north-west cafe zone, the Reuben sandwich is also worth a trip.
Thank me later.
