Paramount Food Court reviews
27Finally tried the food court and it was surprisingly not too bad. Haven’t tired all the shops yet but so far tried two of the restaurants and it was quite impressive. Food price is very cheap and taste good but portion wise not very generous. Still like the fact that you can get multiple items with low price.
Will definitely be coming back. Such a great place to try out different food, lots of seatings available, and just a lovely relaxing atmosphere.
Fantastic food and a calm atmosphere, if you have got the time come on down and try some of the excellent food on offer, we go out of our way to eat here if traveling through the city
Feels like you’re transported back to the 80’s the moment you stepped into the food court. A hidden gem in the CBD. Lots of choices. Korean, Japanese, Thai etc. Always crowded during lunchtime. Not hard to see why it is so popular as the prices of the food are one of the most affordable you could find in the area. Spacious with lots of seatings. Go early or later to avoid the lunch crowd.
*Tried the Korean Bibimbap today. Simple & comforting in a cold & wet afternoon. Will be back to try other stores.
Plenty of cheaper food options. Do not expect high quality food but it can satisfy your taste butt, stomach and even wallet.
A food court that smells wonderful. You have couple of stalls to choose from. We tried Me Dee Thai restaurant and the food was good. Their fried rice was tasty and the red curry seem to be a bit watered down for my taste. But overall it’s a good place to visit for a quick bite when you are in the city.
Great food court with some great options. There are a few places here that are open for dinner as well
If not for a friend I would have walked straight passed this place. Must be Melbournes best kept secret? I had the Sri-Lankin and it was to die for!
Ceylon wok is my fav. You can never go wrong with their combo meal of rice + 2 veg.
My fav biryani rice + eggplant + red lentil curry (dal)
Cheap good food is here! This hidden gem in CBD really shocked you. Food court included lots of Asian food for quick lunch including Thai, Korean and Sri Lankan style. Nothing over $19. My colleagues recommended to go try this authentic Thai shop especially their signature boat noodles. If you come by, please try it and you will be impressed.
Those sweet ladies at the Paramount Chinese shop always have a smile and the food is scrumptious!
This is not a luxury food court. In fact, some might call it depressingly down-market. It's not the cleanest. It's not the best designed. It's one of the older food courts in the city. It is long overdue for a big renovation. BUT it is a place where you can relax and feel at home. It is unpretentious and the food is cheap yet high quality. Don't expect fine dining. What you'll get is a meal you'll enjoy in an atmosphere that let's you relax. I go there at least once a week in the evenings. It's not busy. Try Ceylon Wok for home-cooked Sri Lankan dishes. Highly recommended.
A remarkable find!
Something for everyone wanting a taste of South-East Asian cuisine but don't want to break the bank.
Advice to newcomers: follow the crowd. The good vendors are the popular ones!
There are two Thai shops there. Both of them are nice and cheap. But you must ask before order if you can't handle spicy.
I don't recommend Indian food and Chinese food there.it's a bit boring.
Just go and do yourselves and these brilliant chiefs, small businesses a favour, you will never regret it. X
Found a great place to have beers in the Paramount Food Court. $25 for 6 beers - lots of different brands, had 8 myself Added some spring rolls, prawn crackers and we turned it into a 6hr stay
On a Friday night out, 8 beers and some food and spent just $43! Amazing value. Definitely a keeper place
This my first food court with a variety of Asian dishes are wonderful tastes and flavours, and a cheap meal for city dwellers.
Solid. Good choices. A few less than there used to be. But still has good food and lots of seating.
Nice place to eat it not overcrowded and plenty tables to go and sit down. The Thai restaurant have many options to order and they taste great however there another foods that amaze me the fry chickens from other restaurant is amazing! It was moist and tasty chicken pieces I ever ate. Better and good deals than other coal chicken and chips shop.
Not quite as popular or polished as some other food courts, which isn't a bad thing as the traders have some pretty sweet lunch deals
