Paradise Lakes Motel, Shepparton

My partner and i booked this accommodation on our trip expecting a pool in the photos to be available since it was a very hot time of year. Unfortunately when we arrived the pool was GREEN! Full of algae and mosquito
larvè! Nothing like the photos! The grass is extremely over grown which makes it unsafe to even leave your back patio in summer. Only good opinion i can give on this place is the rooms were sizeable and clean. Other then that very very dissapointed.

I'd say it was lovely in its day, now it needs some serious work. The room was clean but the bed was worn out & the rest was very basic. Gardens would be gorgeous if they actually weeded them & mowed properly. The front reception is an eye sore dirty & messy! I almost drove out, I wish I had read thru the reviews thoroughly.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Large, comfy room. Wonderful, roomy shower and toilet area. Excellent service and a quiet location. Couldn't ask for more. Many thanks for the relaxing overnight stay!

I chose this motel just to relax a bit in the jacuzzi but unfortunately when i was able to relax the tub didn't work, i tried several times to call the office (open until 9pm and it was 8pm) but no answer, i'm also too went there but it was already closed.unacceptable service

Really like the location & lake behind. Outdoor Swimming pool Yessss! And spa.
We had a great stay. There's Petrol ️ station nearby. 20min drives stores MacDonald subway etc

Great spacious room with rear door access to a peaceful setting. Friendly staff. Would definitely return if ever staying in Shepparton again

Very clean rooms, but looks run down and in need of a makeover. Not suitable for families. Service was poor. Located on the Highway to Bendigo, but the noise didn't affect us.

Very spacious and clean, Bed was comfortable. Only there overnight, so didnt get to use outside area, but that looked great.

Great Motel, in a Great Location, Unfortunately it is a Little Run Down.
NEEDS A UPGRADE

Place is very run down and rooms are vastly overpriced for what you receive. Maintenance issues go unresolved and although rooms are tidy, they are dated and have lots of issues that management refuse to attend to

We were booked to stay for 1 night at this motel. We were initially concerned driving up to reception as it was empty the whole motel! I went to book in though where they asked to see my licence, I was surprised but thought ok I booked online you want to check my booking details. Until they proceeded to scan my licence front and back and record it on their computer to which I strongly objected! They did not ask my permission! I told them to delete it immediately that we were not staying there! They were reluctant to do so until I said I’d call the police! They then deleted it. I don’t let anyone scan my licence. I would not recommend this motel if you feel the same.

Pillows felt like folded up sheets
No toilet paper
Grounds needed cleaning up

VERY disappointing, would Never recommend this place.
Looked like it had been deserted as we drove up, almost kept driving, now wish we had.
Bed was most uncomfortable I've ever slept on.
Room was great size but unfortunately the out dated furniture along with non working air con was disappointing.
Fridge/freezer obviously never cleaned/checked.
Grounds were horrible, weeds over a foot tall, big patches of grass growing out of driveway, it really was horrible.
The area at the back of the rooms, where they over looked the water, was just as bad, hasn't received any care or attention for months.
When people are spending their hard earned $$ to stay at a place they shouldn't be tricked with false advertisement.
The star rating of this motel is definitely way too high for what it actually is, especially the price, way too high.

Also just as we were readying to leave we opened desk drawer looking for a pen and oddly enough found the Smoke Detector, wtaf!

It has been several years since staying here, sad to say it is no where near as good as it used to be. At $130 a night, it was pretty poor. Empty water jug in fridge, empty ice cube tray. No glasses, not enough crockery or cutlery for 2 people. Two different room keys, had to climb through breakfast hutch to get back in the room. Turned noisy fridge off after it had run for 5 hours without a break. Cannot recommend and won't be back.

I have stayed here for many years, it was like a second home. A brief outline of my 3rd stay under new management. A large pool of sticky food on the bench. Inside Microwave food splatter. Sandy grit on bottom sheet. Top sheet not crisp and smelled like perfume. Hair in shower drain. Unfortunately it was to late at night to move on.

Absolutely beautiful, we stayed in room 22 & 23 right next to the water. Up to my hygienic standards, super comfy beds, the spa is so relaxing (flushed and cleaned after every checkout). Spacious. Everything is perfect. Just wish their were extra towels and plates/cutlery for heating food. Other than that, there’s a little jug of water, coffee, milk, sponges, extra pillows and blankets. Absolutely recommend! Definitely staying again.

I like how the room opens up on to the lawn and pond, which allows a breeze through and a lot more light. The host was very cheerful too.
