Pappous Souvlaki Bar

Waited an hour and 10min. To be fair, they told us it would be 30min, then after 30min, told another 15, then another 15, then food finally arrived. Had lamb souvlaki, wasn’t bad, have had better in Rye. But good addition to the area.

Best souvlaki I ever had! The meat was tasty and juicy, pita was fluffy, very good portion! The chips were perfect!
And service was very friendly!

We took Liam here today for his 29th birthday. What an experience!
I have to say, today I tasted the softest pita I think I have ever come across. We drove down from Melbourne for this.

Foods great but the hours are all over the place which is a shame I drove the family over for lunch at 1pm as they said the were open from 12

I don't know why when it gets cut on the spit why is it put on gril and cooked through again and using scirrors cutting it so small tiny that u can't see the lamb good to feed a dog which a dog wouldn't eat it either.

I prefer nice normal pieces when that's how it should be done.disappointed disgrace

Had the mixed souvlaki, a bit salty but still enjoyed it, the standout was the chips though!

Not one to make a review but I felt it was necessary after eating the most delicious souvlaki I have ever tasted. The wrap was soft and fluffy, the lamb was delicious (no fatty bits) and sliced into the perfect size, perfect amount of sauce (not too much or too little) and the lettuce / tomato/ onion was also cut into perfect sizes. Every bite was delicious and I managed to eat it all even though it was huge! Fast delivery also.

And the Souvlaki’s are the best in Melbourne! Cooked perfectly the meat is so soft and tender and seasoned to perfection an absolute must if you are in Rosebud

The team at Pappous Souvlaki recently catered an event we held on very short notice.

The food and service were excellent and the owners even reached out the day after to ensure the day went well and everyone was satisfied.

Awesome Lamb Souvlaki… but the Bread …? I’m going home to try to replica the bread … so soft and fresh

We arrived at closing time and they were still happy to help us out. And the souvlakis were delicious, would highly recommend!

Best souvlaki I've had in ages - and that's even compared to my fave in Oakleigh.

Lamb was cooked perfectly, delicious pita and the tzaziki sauce is beautiful. Great chips too!

Glad there is finally a decent place to get dinner when I'm down on the Peninsula visiting my parents.

I had very bad experience here, I ordered my food, cashier was very friendly and nicely, good recommendations, she told me I need waiting above 30min, deal, then during the waiting I have one Baklava from them, after I feel thirsty, wanna fill my bottle during the waiting, that’s what happened!

Worst eating experience ever. Was told order would be 40 to 50 minutes so ordered dinner at 7: 45 and left to do other tasks. Returned 45 minutes later and was told another 15 minutes. Waited 15 minutes and was told 2 orders were still in front. Watched another at least 15 orders go out ahead of ours and weren't even sure we would get our food as these people definitely did not order before us. Finally got our order 1hr 40 minutes after ordering with no care shown from staff. We had 4 kids including a 9 month old waiting to get dinner before 90 minute drive home. Meat was average, calamari inedible rubber, the only decent thing was the chips which everyone can cook. $110 for 4 below average souvs, chips and calamari is a rip off. Anyone saying this is the best souv they've had must be related/friends of owner because its easily the worst Ive had. Would've never wasted time if I knew it would be double the waiting time. Terrible service and food, will never go back, not sure why people are lining up for this.

I go there every weekend I can which is more often than not and the service is fantastic and the souvlakis are amazing.
Run by two Greek brothers who really know how to make the best souvlaki I’ve ever had. People may say they need to wait in summer for their food but doesn’t that tell you something about the quality of food they make? I say it’s definitely worth the wait anyway. Tried other souvlaki places but nothing compares. 10/10

This souvlaki is the best souvlaki restaurant i’ve been to, the bread is nice and soft, it’s packed with meat and has the right balance of salad and meat inside, and it’s meat is very high quality and very tasteful, definitely an 11/10.

Amazing food and wonderful service, they always look after us here and we will continue to come back.
