Why do you still need to take takeout orders when you can’t make them? I really don’t understand! ! ! The food delivery staff waited for 30 minutes and didn't pick up the food. In the end, they even canceled it. Speechless. I won’t book with you again

It’s a cozy and warm atmosphere small restaurant continently located in the heart of Bridge Street. Good variety of Food using local ingredients and materials but with a Vietnamese flavor.

Food was nice. Service was great but a little too great, ie staff keep coming over to clear the table even when food is not finish, which can get a bit stressful. Nice ambience and good lighting.

Great flavours, generous portion sizes and staff were very attentive. All the dishes (and drinks) were excellent, especially the pork hock. We had a large group and everyone had a great experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and authentic Vietnamese flavours delivered with modern dishes. Service is responsive and friendly. Very nicely done!

Paper Plate is my favourite for a few reasons. The friendly staff, delicious food, good lighting and a great location.

Drove 25mins after checking they close at 3pm to get to this highly recommended Eatery. Arrived at their door at 2.25pm only to be told they don’t seat people in the last 30mins as they close at 3pm. I actually knew exactly what I wanted and ordering would have taken less than 5mins.

I totally respect their trading hours but perhaps clearly State on your website that you stop taking orders or diners from 2.30pm to avoid disappointing customers who come from far.

Dishes here seem to lean on the borderline-too-salty side, which include the pork belly bao, beef pho, and beef short ribs. The pho also tasted a bit different than a traditional one as it had some sourness to it. Meat were all cooked well and tender though.

Enjoyed the delicious lamb curry, scallops and chicken skewers. This restaurant has a warm, pretty ambience and pleasant service.

1. Lamb shank red curry was absolutely delicious
2. Lamb ribs with fragrant herbs was also very good, yet very different than the other dish.
3. Salmon salad, different and very tasty
4. Crab and prawn spring rolls, soft taste but I actually really liked the crunchy and light coating.
5. Caramelized Pork belly clay pot, so naughty and tasty but almost too greasy for me. It was a beautiful cut though.
6. Caramelized Chicken wings, probably the least recommended dish but still tasty.

A bit pricier than your average Vietnamese but well worth it for the quality of food, flavors and service you get.

This is a favourite when we visit Melbourne, I recommend booking as it's always busy, we usually order the same things but this visit we added the chicken wings that another diner was having and we weren't disappointed, Dan is a great host and the service is always relaxed and friendly

This place is amazing. I generally don’t like Asian fusion but they did it so well I couldn’t fault it.

Great night at Paper Plate. Walk in with no expectation. Not an ordinary Vietnamese food. Lamb shanks was great. Same as other dishes.
