Panton Hill Vineyard & Winery reviews
57Such an incredible experience! Went on a Sunday and did the tasting, then had pizza that the owner recommended from down the rd. It’s so generous that they let you have a picnic overlooking their vineyards. It was so beautiful and very well paired with their Arctic White wine. Also they’re very dog friendly!
Beautiful location, loved and food and of course amazing wine. Will definitely be visiting again!
Love everything about this place. Dorothy the owner was fabulous! She told us a story about how it all started. Pizza was great. And we bought a few bottles of wine to take home. It was great!
The buildings are very special and in the ancient European style. Worth to go there again.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Panton Hill Winery! From start to finish, everything was amazing. The highlight for me was the wine tasting, which was led by the owner herself. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the winery, which made the experience even more special.
The winery is located in a beautiful setting, and the building itself is just stunning. I was blown away by the fact that it was built 50 years ago by her husband using second-hand materials - it really added to the charm and character of the place. It almost looked like a musuem!
To top it all off, we had some delicious pizza and wine while we were there. The best part? The basil and tomatoes used in the pizza were grown in the winery's own garden. I thought that was such a nice touch - it really added to the farm-to-table feel of the whole experience.
Overall, I had a wonderful time at Panton Hill Winery and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable wine tasting experience.
Authentic Italian style winery located in Panton Hill, Victoria. The winery is about 50’years old and produces both red and white wines. The winery has been built by the owners and looks and feels like an old Italian winery. They also have a restaurant that you can order pizza, pasta etc. The winery offers wine tasting with great introduction to their vintages and which wine suits for you. We tasted both whites and reds. Great tasting white and red wines. The fortified wine range was good as well. Definitely worth the visit.
We came on a weekend for lunch and it was busy, but beautiful location and very authentic. We mainly came for the wines and to enjoy the surroundings, but pizza was good too, though there was a bit of a wait for it gave us time to do the tasting. At the peak time there were a fair few people milling around and felt like they needed more staff, but then again this is not the sort of place you go when in a hurry!
5 stars for the surrounds, wines and tasting. 4 stars for the food service and food itself.
Very rustic winery
They have a really delicious sweet Verdelho which I got a glass of, great on a sunny day.
I bought a bottle of their fortified Chardonnay liqueur too. Notes of apricots, honey and nuts. Rich and with great balance. I had it with blue cheese which is a prefect match
Place is great. Wine is ok. Menu is ridiculous. Customer service skills are even worse. The lady behind the bar treats people as if they were trespassing! Such a shame you can’t enjoy this beautiful place because the people that own it don’t understand a few basics….
If you go there make sure someone else orders for you so you don’t have to deal with her…
Its a family owned business.
We went there on Sunday, the lady who seems to be in charge was very nice and welcoming!
The atmosphere and the building is amazing! Very cosy! It could be a little but warmer though. The tables, chandelier and everything else look nice! Looks like you went to John Snow’s castle (game of thrown)!
The wines are okay, u can purchase a bottle or a glass!
Tips: Their kitchen is closed on Sunday, but you can bring your own food! They provide u a nice table, wood fire place, water and wine tasting! All for free! We order our food from a restaurant close by, they had a nice Pizza!
We definitely will be back!
Gorgeous little cellar door, delicious wine and the owners are lovely and really knowledgeable. I enjoyed the wine tasting and felt like I learnt a thing or two, will definitely come back!
Great experience at Panton Hill Vineyard & Winery. Dorothy’s wine tasting session was very informative and enjoyable. Bought the only Muscat left and can’t wait to try it!
Such a stunning location, staff were extremely busy but lovely and we felt very welcome. Dorothy has great product knowledge. Bought lots of wine to bring home and enjoy. Only issue is, which do I open first? Thank you for an enjoyable day that my family REALLY needed.
Horrendous horrendous service. Waited an hour for water, ordered an $8 ice coffee that was milk and ice cream, no coffee… Very rude staff who clearly did not want to be there! Save yourself the time, don’t go here!
Dropped in today but they were short staffed and could only offer pizza. Would have liked the antipasto. Had 2 pizzas. Our lucky day! Seriously probably the best pizzas we've ever enjoyed. Had with their 2014 Blanc de Noir. Beautiful colour, wonderful flavour.
Sampled and bought a couple of their wines. Great wines.
The location, the host, the wines make for a very enjoyable and relaxing afternoon.
Beautiful setting with the old stone buildings.
Very rustic and Mediterranean looking winery.
Great photo backgrounds.
We saw it on the tv show Neighbours had loved the old buildings.
The menu was limited only pizzas today.
Will come back to try the antipasto platter.
We had a lovely day meeting the owner of this beautiful winery and sampling some of their delicious wines. The setting was stunning, and the owners have done a fabulous job of creating an environment that was serene and not overcrowded, even at a busy time of year. Couldn’t recommend enough and can’t wait to come back for a picnic some time soon.
Very nice winery with vintage Wood decoration. Great cosy outdoor area with attentive services.
This has got to be one of the most beautiful wineries in Victoria. Such amazing architecture and the food and wine is to DIE for. Fantastic service. Today was my 3rd time visiting and I'll visit many more times.
If we could give it 10 stars we would! Such a beautiful place, a romantic setting that makes you feel like you are in the European countryside. It feels authentic and effortlessly beautiful (unlike a few of the other more commercial wineries that seem to have to try a bit harder). Family built and run, again unlike many of the others. Owners are lovely, really accommodating and interesting to chat to. We'll be visiting for years to come and can't wait to bring family when they visit from overseas. Tom and Petot
