After a 30 min consultant with Angela, I felt so validated. Finally, someone listened to me, gave me options, and put my well-being first. I have a game plan now and feel like I have control over my Endo and Adenoymosis. And, it was my FIRST consult with Angela! Thank you so much.

Angela is exceptional at what she does. She focused on changing the outcome and helps patients navigate their own journey. Very impressive. Would suggest anyone with pain challenges to use Angela.

Dr Angela Chia.
Do not recommend going if you suffer the excruciating pain from Endometriosis, PCOS or Adenomyosis. Your pain will be dismissed. You will feel invalided. This is a real condition, this is something us women are debilitated by. As a woman you would think they would have some kind of understanding instead of dismissal. Absolutely fed up with the part of the healthcare system that constantly invalidates and dismisses women with chronic pain. It’s our bodies, we know better than you the pain we are experiencing.
Do better.

Dr Chia is brilliant. An incredible weealth of knowledge mixed with a warm personality and understanding. I am so grateful to my gynecologist for referring me to Dr Chia. She will be performing a procedure on me in August and I cannot wait to see if we will get results. There is never any guarantee, but I trust Dr Chia wholeheartedly to always steer me in the right direction.

Well worth the wait to see Dr Angela Chia.
Even she doesn't know how grateful I am to her.
And the staff are just as good.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Angela Chia at Pain Matrix Boxhill for a few years now and before Dr Chia saw another pain management facility and Dr Chia is exceptional, so professional and extremely skilful in comparison. I see Dr Chia for severe endometriosis (& other conditions) and she is so compassionate, kind, nurturing and always to making sure all possible options for treatment are being assessed/ reviewed. Dr Chias treatment of my conditions has made my life liveable, comfortable, given me physical strength again. Really importantly Dr Chia has helped give me the confidence to manage my pain so I can live a happier, healthier and joyful life- something many chronic pain sufferers want desperately. When having treatments in hospital, Dr Chia checked on me everyday, and always made sure I was comfortable-. The hospital Dr Chia works out of have some of the most caring nurses and staff, so it feels like staying at a hotel during treatments/ procedures. Im not kidding (its also been freshly renovated).

Importantly, Dr Chia always lets me have a say in the management of my conditions, she is so empathetic and sympathetic to my pain.
I feel very thankful to be under the care of such a skilled and caring practitioner.

I must also express my gratitude and thanks to the reception/ medical staff that make pain matrix box hill what it is. I feel as if I can openly call the staff for any reasons and not feel ashamed, embarrassed or like I'm hassling them. The staff always go out of their way to solve or help me. They really are such kind, patient and caring people- which is a huge deal, as many practises can have hostile receptionists, making the care stressful, which flares pain.
I want to personally thank Matthew and Tess - they always go above and beyond for all my inquiries and I feel so well looked after when I talk to them. The entire practice and team (I can only speak for Dr Angela and the front staff) make Pain matrix boxhill in my opinion is the best pain specialist in Melbourne and I will continue to recommend Dr Chia to anyone I know or meet who has Chronic pain- especially Endometriosis. Another extremely good reason to see Dr Angela Chia is that if you live far away, she will do your appointments via skype, and the medical team are always so kind, patient and helpful with setting up the Skype appointments- especially if you aren't very skilful with technology.

If you're looking for a new pain management doctor I highly recommend Dr Chia, you’ll always be greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. Not only will you have an exceptional doctor caring for you, but you wont have to worry about dealing with unkind staff when booking appts, getting scripts or just asking qs to be passed on to Dr Chia.

I have to agree with the last comment “Horrible experience. So called Dr Angela Chia only cares about money and not the welfare of patients. Do not use her as a pain specialist. Never never again”
My wife and I went to see Dr Chia to get relief for my wife, as she is suffering from pelvic pain for the last 16 months one day in April around 11 am.
Due to the pain my wife can not sit, and she was pacing up and down the surgery, Dr Chia was not very supportive towards my wife, and told her a few times to calm down and try to sit, which my wife could not (I could tell Dr Chia was getting fed up with her walking around the surgery).
Also, my wife could not answer some of the questions because she was getting a little anxious and stressed; so I answer the simple general questions and Dr Chia told me to shut it and let my wife answer.
Then when Dr Chia was ging to examine my wife, she asked her 3 times if she would give permission for me to stay (I am the husband for pits sake)
Then went on about some procedure to be done in a PRIVATE Hospital (that could cost up to $1500) without any guarantee that it would work.
Then suggested some “Magnesium Injections” (1 per week for 4 weeks, at $300 each shot) also no guarantees.
We couldn’t decide on the spot, so while we where trying to discuss it, she left the room, come back 2 minutes later, the around 5 minutes after that one of her receptionist interrupted our session for some stupid thing that it was not important, next thig we know Dr Chia told us to read the pamphlet outside as she had other people to see, and we were rushed off the surgery.
At the end we left, no wiser that before, with less money in our pocket and a very stressed wife that I couldn’t clam down until the very early hours of the next morning.
I would never recommend Dr Chia. Find someone else.
