PAIK'S BIBIM KOREAN RESTAURANT reviews
25 Great bibimbap at a reasonable price.
The bibimbap was great and value for money. The sweet spicy chicken was a good side.
Expect to spend ~$15-20 for a bibimbap here.
We ordered the original paik’s bibimbap which comes with marinated pork, and a variety of vegetables including bean sprouts, radish, mushroom, zucchini, lettuce, carrots, and seaweed
mixing it in together with the gochujang woww i finished this meal so fast
the flavors were there and i loved how each ingredient worked well with each other
at $11.8, it’s a 9/10
i would love more sesame oil on this just to give it that extra oomph
I had Dolsot bibimbap, but it was too dry due to the lack of seasoning, and it didn't have the characteristic scorched rice of a Dolsot pot. After eating this, I miss Dolsot bibimbap.
Bright and clean little restaurant. Ordered dolsot and is one of the best I had so far. Generous portion and sauce on the side which is good as you can add the amount as you like.
We had:
1. Pork Dolsot Bibimbap
2. Tteokbakki (L) ️
3. Sweet Yuzu Chicken Gangjeong (L)
The food was nice and quick service. We used the ordering machine at the entrance.
Went there on a Thursday afternoon and they had heaps of tables available.
There’s a toilet outside the restaurant (they give you a key).
A very clean and tidy restaurant. We ordered original bimbimbap and toufu bimbimbap. Value for money. A balanced and delicious meal.
I ordered uber delivery it arrived within 2o mins and the soup was still hot but the noodle was warm and stick together like something will try dine in soon
The spicy rice cake tastes frozen and came out room temperature. Had no bounciness at all and is probably the worst spicy rice cake I've had in Melbourne.
The Yuzu fried chicken was not authentic as well, did not have the classic Korean fried chicken batter but almost the same as chicken from Chinese takeaways. It also came out lukewarm and the exterior was too hard to bite.
Japchae was good tho but doesn't make up for other 2 most disappointing dishes I've had.
Clean restaurant right across Southern Cross Station and DFO.
Their food is prepared quite fast. Fresh ingredients are used in the bibimbap with good flavors. Although the fried chicken (both types) was a tad too soggy and is too sweet.
Good value Really tasty, full of flavour and didn’t taste too heavy but of course it is bibimbap Service time wasn’t too bad Order from the screen or at the front, receive a buzzer to collect when food is ready If you can’t finish it, small round container is 30c Surcharge on public holidays
Decent foods with fresh ingredients and well seasoned. Like the fact that they leave the sauce separately on the side so you can add them in as much as you wish. Personally, none, prefer the homemade-like plain but balanced taste.
Been here before and food’s quality comes out consistently. Feel like this is a fast-food chain for rice instead of burger buns.
Last note, yuzu flavoured fried chicken is better than the ‘popular’ sweet spicy chicken.
I've been here multiple times now. I've tried their tofu bibimbap, veggie bulgogi bibimbap, spicy bibim noodles and tteokbakki. All of them have been really nice. The staff is amazing and the restaurant is super clean. The prices are affordable too. Will visit here sometime again.
Best in Melbourne for what I have tried. Bibimbap is with flavour. Some restaurants’ bibimbap has not enough salt but this one is not. The portion is just right for the price. Sauce given is tasty and not spicy at all which is the best for people who cannot eat spicy food. I really like the batter of yuzu fried chicken, but it will taste better if it is cooked for longer. The soup is tasty. Overall price is very reasonable and affordable. Definitely give it a try.
Lovely dining area and taste is great but too freaking spicy ️ that spicy I thought the staffs was pranking on me
Would come back but def have to mention reduce the chilli next time
Not good experience, I ordered take out food, and when I go grab the food, the store told me my food already take away by someone else, take another 20 mins to make another one, food taste good, just the take away service not well.
The food is delicious, but the cashier staff speaks rudely and treats customers badly. If it's good, it should change the staff.
The presentation of the food was neat. Food at a reasonable price. Do recommend the sweet and spicy fried chilli chicken. Ordered the spicy tofu soup. This was absolutely delicious. There was so much seafood with egg and the tofu was soft to eat with the steamed rice. The chicken was sweet and sticky which balanced with the spicy soup. Highly recommend this place
Because of their poor packaging, all the food was spilt on the ground so that u cant eat anything. After that i called the restaurant to explain the situation but they just shut the phone call up twice. I never experienced this before i cant believe that they are still ongoing with this customer service.
Tasty food, confusing menu. Really annoyed the bibimbap was not in stone bowl. Apparently you have to select it as an option.
New Korean restaurant which specializes on Bibimbap.
Small menu so pretty easy to choose and order. We tried Yuzu fried chicken (quite thick flour coat), japchae and original bibimbap. They were all just ok, not too bad but not impressive either.
Good price though.
Service was ok. The restaurant is set up more like a food court or hawker type where you wait for your order, pick them up yourself and clear them up to station after finishing.
Nothing much special to talk about this place.
