Kailen was extremely helpful, really appreciated the time he spent going over what I needed. Will be coming back for sure.

I broke my violin bow so popped in the Moorabbin store to look for a replacement. Also had an older bow that needed to be fixed. New to the instrument so it was my first time with broken anything. Kailen was super helpful, showed me a range of bows and talked me through the repair process for the older bow. Really appreciated the friendly service and was an overall great experience.

Normally I don't write reviews but I just wanted to say how fantastic this place is, I put my Eupho into service and they gave it back in a spectacular condition. Really friendly staff, especially the Eupho tech, who helped me get my values in better condition. Always a great place to get instruments serviced and music equipment. Strongly recommend.

There are only a few musician run big brass and woodwind retail stores left in Melbourne. This one has a great range of instruments, accessories, and staff who know what they're doing for good advice. They are very competitively priced for musical retail as well. It's an excellent well run retail outlet - by musicians for musicians.

Great Service
I needed some urgent (minor) repairs to my tenor sax and took it into Oz Winds. The looked at it straight away and fixed it in few minutes. Thank you - appreciate the prompt attention and - No Charge.

They lost my very sentimental flute, refused to answer my calls/call back for weeks (I was promised a manager call back probably 6 times), eventually replaced it with a similar instrument when I went in in person and demanded some accountability. But later on when I went back looking for an upgrade for the very disappointing replacement for my own flute, refused to acknowledge what a messed up situation it is for the flute repair shop to lose a flute. The system describes it is “disappeared into the void”. So they’ll have a joke about it but won’t try to remedy the situation, and the shop person was an a***ole about it too. Feel free to ask to see their system notes with this name if you don’t believe. I hope this shop goes out of business I have never had a worse, more unprofessional experience with a shop. That flute is irreplaceable to me

I took my daughter's flute to Ozwinds for a minor repair. Brian was polite and knowledgeable, fixing the flute for free! He recommended that the flute should have a general service but wasn't pushy and said it could wait for another time. Will definitely be back.

They sold a sax for me on consignment and 3 months later I still haven't received my money. Over $3000 owing. Every time I call it's the same story, will pay within the week, but nothing happens. Dodgy as.

Update.
Within 2 hours of calling them this morning and writing this review I had the money in my account and received a phone call apologising for the delay. It was explained that my sax was sold through a different ozwinds location to the one that I consigned it to and there had been a miscommunication between stores. I was assured that processes are being put in place to prevent this happening again.

We recently purchased a violin case and cello slip stop from Ozwinds and have been extremely happy with the experience. Unfortunately the violin case was awaiting stock arrival and would be 10-15 days. Dylan advised us promptly of the unexpected delay. He gave us options of changing the case colour or a full refund and was very helpful both by email and on the phone. We decided to wait for the stock and the order has arrived today. Both products look great! Ozwinds were very competitive with pricing and we would definitely buy from them again.

Online purchase from Ozwinds (Melbourne Brass and Woodwind Centre) was a smooth transaction. Good communication during the process. Aidan was great to deal with.
Prompt post had me practicing with my Hohner Marine Band Deluxe harmonica in no time.

Discovered a bunch of passionate musos, generous with their time, their knowledge and their patience. I came away with solutions and very pleasantly surprised by the prices. Went to Ozwinds to buy a flute for my son. Absolutely outstanding service. Aiden’s product knowledge and approach was second to none. He made it a very positive and rewarding experience. Terrific range of products and a fantastic set up with large and comfortable practice rooms. Thank-you Ozwinds and Aiden in particular for helping us find the perfect flute! Highly recommended!

During my 5 years living Australia (in the neighboring state of South Australia) until past March, Ozwinds has been one of the 2 main places in Australia I go to buy reeds & accessories for my clarinets & saxes, as for while the music shops in SA didn't always have carry a large stock of them, and some of the products Ozwinds carries weren't even available in SA until 2019, but even since then I continued to be regular customer at Ozwinds as they've been very prompt and friendly with their service, and I'd be sure to be a regular customer once more if I happen to move back to Oz in the future!

I waited 6 years for this horn to get serviced as I guess I'm like a lot of horn players and a little scared to let my baby go - have no fear you guys are the best! Marshall

Lovely staff a decent selection of instruments such as brass and woodwind. Very welcoming but can be a little difficult to find for some, but overall a very nice place

Edit: ending up buying a saxophone from here and it was a fantastic experience. Staff encouraged me to try a variety of instruments and even come back a few times as to make the right decision and not rush into a purchase, which I thought was just fantastic! You could tell that getting a sale was not the only thing that mattered - these guys really do want to make sure that you make the right decision and walk away with something that best suits your needs and budget.

Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an instrument/supplies/repairs/advice. What a great store and fantastic staff. Especially wanted to call out Sophie and Tyler for all of their help and advice!
