Ovens Valley Motor Inn / Hara House

Exactly what we wanted for a last-minute trip to the ski hills. Easy in and out. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.

Clean stay. Prompt room service. Enjoyed the stay. Carry a chromecast with usb charger to watch your own shows. Only missed a microwave, otherwise great stay!

Very comfortable for both of us 'oldies'. Staff very pleasant & considerate. The room was spacious, clean & comfortable.

We travelled to Bright for a wedding and had my elderly mother with us.
The help from the staff in receiving and holding a hired wheelchair for us was invaluable. Nothing was a bother and the ability to extend our checkout was very helpful.
Rooms were clean and spacious.
Would recommend this property without hesitation.

A neat, well presented, friendly establishment with everything you'd expect in a good class motel.

Really enjoyed our stay here for our family trip. Perfect location not too far from the town or Mt Buffalo. The view of the hill/ tress at the back the motor truely beautiful and the tennis court and area pool additional activities for kids to enjoy.

This is a great place in the Bright country town. This hotel is located around hills and mountains, not too far away from the Bright town centres. You can do cycling, camping, and other activities around here. The restaurant provides very quality service and staff are very friendly and supportive.
Only one suggestion I have is to have at least one microwave in the Common kitchen.

Private, quiet, got everything, tennis court, clean BBQ and facilities, pool, fantastic location. Friendly helpful Austen looked up for us for open restaurants in the Christmas Day.nice walks in the surroundings

This is not a high end place, it has only very local TV and cold breakfasts. But it was clean, well kept, the staff was bright and helpful and their fruit and all were fresh and on point every day.

Our favorite place to stay in Bright. Great value, clean, comfortable and easy stroll into Bright. Highly recommended!

Spacious room for 2 adults and a toddler, clean and all basic amenities provided.great location being a short drive from the town centre.umbrellas over the pool are great so you can still enjoy the water in the sun.great contactless check in and out process.hope to come stay again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ovens Valley Motor Inn 5 days. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Really enjoyed the stay at Ovens Valley Motor Inn. Its very close to town only a 1 min drive and near the turn off to Mt Buffalo (a must do when in bright). I would definitely stay again.perfect for a little weekend getaway.

A very nice comfortable room, greeted by friendly staff. The Motel situated a short way from town centre, nice and quiet with good views all around.

I love staying here. It's quiet and you can wake up to the sound of birdsong. The best part is it's a stone's throw to the Canyon Walk. A great place to stay and experience Bright.

Great little place to stay, rooms were nice and the staff were amazing - can’t fault them. There was however a group of disrespectful guests that were up partying late into the night/morning disrupting all other guests, but the staff went above and beyond to correct the behaviour of the rude guests and even rang the police to quiet them down.

The staff also posted my pillow back that I accidentally left in my room, can’t thank them enough! Wonderful staff.

The female asian staff member was extremely rude.

When confronted about her rude behaviour she resorted to using the 'F' word against one of our family members. I understand we had a disagreement about our stay but to resort to that language as a staff member in a customer service role reflects very poorly on ovens valley motor inn.

Not only that on our checkout day she came into our rooms huffing and puffing and tried to overcharge us for cleaning and blamed us for using kettles to boil milk even though we did no such thing.

It felt like for some reason she was on a vendetta to make our stay as uncomfortable as possible. I feel bad I had to put my family members through such an ordeal which otherwise was supposed to be an overdue reunion.

The only saving grace was the male staff member who calmed the situation and tried his best to reach an agreement amongst both sides.

I would be very surprised if the female staff member was allowed to continue at this inn in her current capacity.

Could have been better. Noisy neighbours who had large gatherings each night keeping us awake, construction sites behind our room, no views and no amenities besides one kettle which had gunge all over the spout and could not be properly cleaned with what was supplied. I have made owners aware of this and not received a response.
Update: Owners have denied everything… not helpful. Will not be coming back
