Outback Chef's Wild Food Farm reviews
19The food is “do die”. You gonna go there. It’s a a little expensive but the flood are fresh from the garden. I give 5 out of 5.
Had lunch there. What a lovely find. We had a meal on the verandah, which was lovely, but it's worth knowing the rainforest option is also sheltered from the rain. The food is great for a licensed cafe. The surrounds are amazing. The short walks around the property are highly recommended. We'll be back!
Beautiful and cozy spot with incredible food grown locally and some even on-site.
Wonderful staff and great coffee:)
Had the Barramundi fillets with crispy chips and a yummy roasted pumpkin salad with goats cheese. Even the tartare sauce was scrumptious!
Special environment. You can dine in indoor or outdoor coffee shops, or you can dine in the most unique greenhouse jungle. If the weather is not very hot, dining here is very comfortable. The food presentation is pretty good. You can try the beef pie here, which contains pieces of slow-cooked beef instead of meat sauce. But the penne has a little more oil. Although it tastes good, it is too greasy and it is easy to lose sight of it after eating half of it.
This place is well worth a visit, as it's a little way off the main tourist route, yet very close to Rhyll. Nice to see some bush foods being incorporated into many of their dishes. We sat outside in the 'rainforest section' which was perfect in the mild weather we had. They also sell a range of packaged bush foods.
Just "WOW"! This place is stunning. The Pie is to die for! The chicken burger is incredible. They even catered for my toddler and made her a vegiemite and cheese sandwich. Seriously, if you love good food, amazing service, and just a relaxing atmosphere, then this is the place to be!
Awful food, rude owners and bad fishing experience. Glad they shut over covid but thought they were gone for good
I really enjoyed my visit today. Friendly staff. Took meal at rainforest is a different experience plus we really like the food.
Love this place. Highly recommend a visit when you're in Phillip Island. Food is healthy and delicious. Scones, muffins, fritatta, chai and more. Say hi to Robbo the cockatoo for me. Staff amazing!
The entire atmosphere - the look and smells of the food and coffee - everything about this cafe was inviting - but we arrived unfortunately without a reservation on Easter Saturday (we were just driving past) so were unable to eat here.however.the service given by the young gentleman was OUTSTANDING! He profusely apologised for not being able to accommodate us.both his and the lady he called over to assists attitude was such that we cannot wait to return someday soon. 5 stars for service alone!
Lovely lunch in a great setting, we sat outside, enjoyed the barramundi and chips! The staff were very friendly.
Nice cafe- pie, burger and pasta recommended. Not much to see on the walks but a nice atmosphere to sit and have a yummy lunch.
Amazing food with Australian ingredients. Very yummy. Very interesting teas from the farm. Open Friday to Monday only.
The food was fantastic, the staff friendly and the surroundings absolutely delicious, what more could you ask for?
Great spot for brunch. Food was good and service friendly and helpful. The rainforest area was beautiful.
The bush food walking track was informative and fun to do with the family and see how the plants relate to the food. The rainforest area was a really cool space. A great alternative to grab breakfast or lunch here than the hassle of parking at Cowes. Heaps of on-site parking. Excellent food options for savoury or sweet. We took quite a few of the foods home to try to cook up ourselves. The BBQ rubs and the bush curry and yellow curry.
Definitely worth making this a stop when on Philip Island.
Attended a wedding at this venue and it was absolutely spectacular. It was really unusual and such a wonderful place for a celebration. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
