Oshima All You Can Eat

The staff were fantastic. So attentive. Not intrusive. We brought a bottle of wine with us as it is byo and they quickly brought glasses and an ice bucket. Corkage was very reasonable.
It's an extensive all you can eat menu with sensible portion sizes so you don't waste food. You're encouraged to reorder a favourite dish if you want more.
Also as there seems to be a two hour seating time be aware to order appropriately within this. We found that our wait staff was well on top of this and was proactive in coming back and making sure we ordered everything that we wanted to try.
My favourite was the beef tataki, the sushi, all the chicken dishes, the edamame beans, and the sashimi. Probably no surprises there

Shoutout to Joanna absolute legend. Waited our table- shes the kindest and sweetest person I’ve met her service gets an 11/10. The food was good they are very strategic with how they bring things out for example the sashimi platter has 4 small pieces of salmon and 4 king fish probably the smallest item you can get. But they would either bring it out 5 minutes after you’ve eaten everything or “forget” to bring it out. And you can only order it once every order which is annoying. But everything else is quite nice. The wagu steak, gyozas sweet potato fries are all good. But if you go - ask for Joana she’s the best

Great service very efficient. Food is lovely, the price is fantastic, BYO wine makes a cheaper night out than most places again great service so the whole evening is an experience.

Absolutely loved it. Came with a friend, we were greeted with a smile. Our service lady was an absolute gem! She was friendly and always had a smile!
The food was beautiful. Every dish we had always came unqiue and beautifully presented! (only down side, the dishes are smallish)
Overall cheifs youve done an amazing job and i'll be back with even more friends to show how amazing this place is!
And to the karen next to us at the table complaining about every dish, you're so miserable. They tried everything to make sure you were okay and happy with everything, and you were so rude from the very start.

We were looking forward to eating at Oshima, after recommendations from others but things unfortunately went downhill after Entrée. A large group of people came in and were sat next to us, at a table which was clearly not big enough for the group. This meant they pushed and shoved as they walked past, moved chairs around and were almost sat on top of us and other patrons. Although the food was nice, the whole experience was completely ruined by their inability to manage seating arrangements and the extremely cramped conditions. The waitress did her best to manage taking orders on her own (as the other staff only deliver the food to the tables) but the service significantly slowed, as they seemed to focus on catering for the large group. We were very disappointed with our experience of Oshima and unfortunately, will not be returning.

Service was inconsistent- had to order my drink 4 times then went to the front desk where I was told that it's still coming. Last plates of meal ood arrived after we finally ordered desert.

It pretty much what you would expect for "all you can eat". Quantity over quality. The food is ok, but I've definitely had better. It's worth it if you are a fan of all you can eat (which I'm not)

I don't feel comfortable in addressing the food as I know my household has mixed opinions on the taste and quality however the food I eat at Oshimas has always been enjoyed thoroughly which is ultimately what has kept us coming back.

It is extremely off putting that bills can't be split especially as we generally visit as a group of 12+ which cost $400-$500+ all up. The pricing for children (4 years old) appear slightly different online than the hard copy menu too.

It's also not ideal only allowing one person to order for the table. With a larger group you often don't hear what others are wanting from the other end then those people miss out. At least ask both table ends.

Often ordered food "doesn't register" and never arrives. We waited over an hour for Fried rice once because it didn't register 3 times and have also not received orders of the wagu steak and shashimi on a few separate occasions which is strange it's always the same thing.

The music is quite loud each time I've visited which also doesn't help when your trying to order for a large table and it would be idea if there was a second toilet.

Overall it is great value for money with a few flaws. It won't stop us visiting however we would visit a lot more if at least the split bill and whole table ordering changed.

I would really love to see this implemented especially as I see many responses that Oshimas takes on feedback and try's to meet it yet this feedback, although mentioned in other ratings, has not been changed.

Allow split bills and 2 or 3 to order per large booking please. This will better your business.

This is my local Japanese restaurant, have been here multiple times with my family and have always had an amazing time. Service is amazing and food is great. Can't wait to visit again:)

Service started of good. Starters were good but then after about three rounds it went bad. Got their for second service which started at 7: 30 after an hour in they started cleaning up restaurant, moping around us even before we ordered mains restaurant is open until 10: 00pm which I found of putting. Then we were finished we asked very nicely if we could just take home the left over rice and noddle as they would just have been thrown out and waiter was very rude and smart remarks under his breath. Didn't brother to ask us if we wanted dessert which is included in the buffet price. And started cleaning up our table before we were even finished technology we could have stayed untill 10: 00pm and after we ordered or mains he stared to stair down at us as if he was waiting for us to finish so they could go home. Would have returned if it wasn't for rude service by the young bloke. So bad review based on his service payed $153 starters were good but mains horrible.

Service was attentive, food was delicious, great with the kids. We liked the Wagyu steak, vegetable spring rolls and chicken gyoza the most. Food came out quickly so the kids were kept entertained. My only complaint would be the website says kids under 4 are free while the in store menu says kids under 3 so we were charged nearly $20 for our 3 year old when we thought they’d be free. Food was good but they won't split the bill! Pretty annoying when you are there with a group of 3 and they won't allow splitting bill and then recommend that you need to find a teller machine in the shopping center just to pay the bill. I won't be back

We went to the early seating, the food was slow initaly then picked up towards the end of service.
However the drinks service was nothing short of appauling- we waited over an hour to be served, that was after asking 4 times for drinks.
Young waitress that can't take drinks orders makes no buisness sense.
The food pictured on the menu is defiantly not what is served.
Still all this in mind, good value for what you get.

Always great food and service. Seeing some of the reviews, if you’d like more food with the all you can eat, simply ask for it…

This joint is terrible in comparison to okami, there is a limit to 6 items at a time and when you’re eating with a few people and paying $35 each it’s just a rip off because of how small the serving sizes are, also the food was cooked poorly. Would probably rather punch a brick wall flat out than go here again.
