Oscar's on the Yarra

We spent a night at Oscars and wished we had stayed for longer. It is a beautifully maintained property situated by the river with mountain views. I would give the service 6 stars if I could, it was that good - and I already have very high expectations. Couldn't ask for a better weekend getaway - especially after the year we have had (2023 - good riddance)

A beautiful setting right by the river and between the mountains, walking distance to Warburton. The accommodation is comfortable with quality bedding and a delicious breakfast. Christine and her team wonderful hosts.

Very lovely place to stay the rooms are very cosy, owners are the best the open fire at night is luxurious and a yummy breakfast

Gorgeous location. Hosts were so gracious, friendly, and attentive. Room was so lovely. All the little details taken care off. Excellent coffee (with brekky) made personally by the lovely host to compliment the wonderful river view.

Big Breakfast was included which was fabulous. It came with real coffee and not just an instant one, so that was a lovely bonus, and all included in the room rate. Had breakfast out on the balcony of the dining area. The Views were sensational, overlooking the river and the mountains. Amazing!
Highly recommend staying here. Best place in Warburton. This guest house was spectacular, such a beautiful period style building. The common areas were great, lovely large formal lounge area, a billiard room with tv for guests to use. The grounds which are situated on the river, were well maintained just amazing!
The place is so pretty and relaxing. Room was very clean and spacious. Entire stay was perfect. Definitely will be back.

It was a wonderful place to stay. The room was beautiful. The river out front was so good to cool off in. Breakfast was delicious. Christine was a awesome host. We so lucky to stay at this terrific place. Thank you so much for everything Oscars.

Clean rooms, with beautiful view. Amazing deck and green grass that rolled right down to river. Spectacular oak trees and views. Christine was a excellent host and looked after us so well. Great place for friends as there were a few common lounges and a small bar. Can't wait to go back

A truly fantastic place. All the charm and atmosphere you would expect from a roughly one hundred year old building. But with beautifully renovated interior with all the mod cons. Throw in friendly owners and staff who oversee a spotlessly clean guesthouse and serve up a fabulous cooked breakfast. Complete with Kookaburras entertaining you on the veranda while you eat your breakfast.
And all set amongst the towering gums and only metres from the Yarra river. A real Gem.

We were a bike group of 8 people arriving at the end of the Warburton Trail of 40 kms. We were tired, sweaty and in need of some home comforts. We certainly found it at Oscar's. Christine and her family are so welcoming and caring. We had a fabulous stay. Breakfast was delicious too. Walk right down to the river's edge and enjoy listening to the sounds of nature. Perfection.

Our stay at Oscar’s by the Yarra was everything we expected and more. Christine and family were the perfect hosts, making us feel special within their vey comfortable accommodation set on a sprawling river frontage property, on the fringe of Warburton. Rooms were cosy, comfortable and clean. A great start to the day with a freshly cooked breakfast.
If you’re thinking of staying, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back!

Chris, Cathy & Brian always make us sooooo welcome and organised for us to have a personal massage on the deck outside our room, which was amazing.
Nothing is to much trouble for the fabulous Oscar’s crew!
We would have no hesitation in recommending Oscar’s to anyone who would love a fabulous tranquil weekend by the Yarra River in Warburton.

Our stay at the Oscar by the Yarra was incredible. We loved every moment of it. The staff are incredibly friendly, breakfast was delicious, the room was cosy & the place is beautiful to stay at. You MUST go & check it out yourself

Oscar's is a relaxed, do as little or as much as you want holiday in Warburton. It lives up to its name as a well renovated, century old guesthouse. Set on a large property (a premium in Warby) you can enjoy the river, the trout farm next door and short trip into the township. Christine and family do treat you as if you are a valued guest in their house.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Oscar's on the Yarra. A convenient base for walking around Warburton and great for people like us who rely on public transport. Christine and her mother were very welcoming, the room was comfortable, with a good bathroom and big bed, and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended for an escape from the city.
