Orlando's Greek Delicatessen reviews
28 An amazing place for all my special cooking needs. So much variety
The owner is a thorough gentleman
The prices are great as is the service and the staff. Love shopping there
The most beautiful and affordable Deli ever. Orlando and the team are the most wonderful, caring, and generously spirited people and really make this Deli what it is! Unbeatable prices on their items and their items are always fresh and tasty!
Love love love Orlando’s.
Fantastic selection of deli and grocery items and have had so many great suggestions from the staff of which is the better brand to buy. I’m now always buying our pats from there and our Dogs are obsessed with the Papadopoulos biscuits. They have one every evening, we’ve tried to offer them others but they’re clearly Greek dogs? Your staff are all beautiful
Has all the Greek items you will need. The ladies in the deli section are wonderful and super helpful
Great range of Greek foods. Great family vibe. I love getting my Greek Easter candles from here.
Loved the place such a huge variety of goods, the ladies were just wonderful
It was my first time there and will not be my last have already told my sister about the place and looking forward to the next shopping trip.
Long established as COLOSSUS previously.
Excellent selection of Greek and Mediterranean products.
Highly recommend
Friendly staff, and a great place for fresh deli & dry goods. They sell a small selection of freshly home made sweets, biscuits, and a good range of other things. Take a visit, you won't be dissappointed.
The products are good but every time I visit this shop the staff at the deli are extremely rude. I only go back because it's the only shop I know of that sells specific items that are hard to find.
Love this store try to go as often as I can since I live 45min away.
Great variety great prices and I always love shopping there
Very friendly and efficient staff. Great to be able to buy authentic greek ingredients and quality delicatessen.
We’ve been coming to colossus Doncaster or Orlando’s since the mid 90’s, right through COVID we’ve never had an issue with tasting different cheeses or items l before purchasing at this deli, today a staff member refused to offer a sample due to restrictions, even though she wasn’t wearing a glove on the hand that touched/packed my following item, ham, which made no sense at all. When I questioned her she said she hadn’t touch it and then pursued putting a glove on. This will be the last time I visit this deli.
High turnover of cheese, nuts and olive oil make this Mediterranean deli a must visit before making any sweet or savoury treat. Perfectly staffed by genuinely knowledgeable people turn a visit into a trip to any Southern European seaside. I'm still waiting for a return to a past Colossus name, compete with overly sized statue adorning the roof but all wishes can't be granted when stopping for some freshly made Tarama!
My go to for all our Greek groceries and special needs for Orthodox Easter etc. Wonderful boss and great staff make the shopping experience enjoyable every time I visit.
Unfortunately produce like feta is rarely fresh. Goes off within 4 days. I place it in salted water and still goes off. Same happened to my neighbours feta and cold cuts. We prefer taking a drive to oakleigh for real freshness.
Great customer service authentic products and they even have feta from Vonitsa how good is that. Great staff and manager.
Small local mostly Greek/Mediterranean Deli supermarket hidden away in a side street in Doncaster. Used to be called Colossus Greek deli until a year or so ago. Great friendly staff who seem to know where everything is if you're after something in particular. They have a decent range of bulk grains and nuts in dispensers. The deli counter is large for the size of store and has a good range of smallgoods and cheeses, olives etc, mostly Mediterranean style. Quite a few products available that you can't get at the big Supermarkets. Prices are reasonable, not the cheapest generally compared to Delis in Northern or Eastern suburbs but stuff always seems to be very fresh and very good quality. Parking is an issue sometimes as the small parking area is often jam packed especially at busy times like Easter and Christmas etc.
This business changed hands from Colososs To Orlando's a while ago. But the lovely staff that were here from the start are so helpful. The new owner is also polite. The shop or mini supermarket is just full of whatever deli things you need. Also a heap of European things your desire. A pleasure to come here every Saturday. Thank you. Keep up the great service. Bless you all.
Great selection of imported Greek food. The owner is so helpful and always happy. It’s a little hidden treasure and I continually return
For quick stops- bread, milk, eggs, liquor. For something more- a deli of endless cheeses, olives, dips, dolmades, sausages and cured/ preserved fish, several narrow isles of endless non perishable Greek and other imported products, but also locally known items. Oils, herbs, nuts, a plethora of pastas, bulk pulses and flour, items you've never tried. The staff are nice, the owner is always smiling and ready to help. I love losing myself in there and walking out with more than I planned. I've been going for decades, from when it opened in the 90's
