58One star is even unnecessary. The staff in this melbourn central optus was very not helpful. People, if you need some technical help, Go to bourke st. Bourke st optus staff members were very very kind and smart enough to figure out what you need ;)
Very rude staff. I couldn’t speak to anyone over the phone so I had to go into the shop and this was the closest to my work. The woman was in a hurry to end our conversation when all I wanted to know was info about my bill and what it would be to upgrade my plan. It was an effort to even look at the plans they offered and help compare the difference in cost.
Worst service I've ever had. Would give 0.5 if I could. Went to the other one in city around Flinders Train Station for the second visit and it was much better
Visited this store twice in the same day. Firstly to enquire about eligibility of an offer for a bulk discount plan, being informed that I am eligible and the offer is running. This experience was somewhat positive.
The second time I had the good fortune of meeting Chris, who appeared to have an air of authority and may have been the manager.
Chris bluntly informed me that the promotion was no longer available. In drawing Chris's attention to the Consumer Law that was being beached by the misleading ticket being displayed, Chris stated "Optus informs me to leave the tickets until we are told otherwise". On visiting another site I noticed the pricing on the ticket was out of date.
The sum of it: Store badly managed with staff having incorrect information, out of date POS, and rude management lacking any conflict management skills and poor understanding of Consumer Law.
I giving 5 stars to this store only because of one of their business specialist (Sylvia), who listen my concern carefully and provided appropriate solution without being judgemental.
This place is the worst.they just care about you till you sign the agreement. I asked them continuously to fix the direct debit but they never did. These people are very careless.and when you try fixing it up calling them you cant get connect to a customer care officer.when you try live chat they try to make to you call customer care officer.try to place you here and there wasting your time.dont buy optus.i dont recomment.
I had a worst experience ever with Optus I was offered a contract with a new phone and they threw in an iPad on a 24 month plan, they told me it was going to be $120 a month I said fine as I could not afford more they assured me I would not be paying more. Reality is the last three bills have been $150+ I have been in to the store to rectify twice already both times have bruahed me off and said “leave your details and we will get back to you” lol what a joke. DO yourself a favour DONT USE OPTUS!
Understaffed. Incompetent. Waste of time.
Went in to get info about updating my phone, made customers sit in a corner for 20+ mins while there was a staff member at the front of the storr just standing around doing absolutely nothing.
If i could give it no stars I would.stood there for 15 minutes waiting for service or at least an acknowledgement.nothing. They even proceeded to help 2 other people that came in after me. Rubbish store! Don't bother!
A dark long hair girl working here had very bad attitude, was extremely rude, impatient, and act like a grumpy spoiled teenager. Worse customer service I have ever experienced.stay away from this store at all cost.

Waited for 15 minutes to be served to be told that his manager needed him to do something else and I'd have to wait even longer for another sales assistant to help. No-one else waiting in store after myself. Very disappointed.
Horrible customer experience. One of the staff was extremely rude and aggressive. I am talking about this girl with long black hair who I met between 4.30pm-5pm on Friday 27th April 2018. If you see this girl in the store, just turn around. No need to get humiliated.
Ridiculously poor service. We have been told by this Optus store stuff to cancel our Optus plan in the store. But when we get there the stuff there give us a bad attittude and ask us to call Optus to cancel the plan. This is totally wasting our time. Never come back to this store again.
Was told 15 minutes for my new sim to work, it's now 8 hours later and still 'pending'. Wasted $40 on a cheap phone for the sim so i could be contactable in the city today. Shop service was generally unhelpful. Was told on 2nd visit it might take 2 hours. Should have driven home to pick up my phone instead. No initial help with understanding how to use the phone. In 3rd visit found out Optus is having system failures - no idea when it will be resolved. An extremely stressful day and now home with NO phone working. Will consider changing service provider when contract finishes.
Absolutely horrible customer service.
I had to wait in 2 lines all to have someone tell me to go online and offer me no extra information. Go anywhere else, not here.
I dropped by yesterday to get my SIM card fixed. Half the staff in there acted like they were still in the schoolyard and yelled at each other from across the shop. The staff member who fixed my SIM simply walked away to socialise with his mates as soon as he was done - didn't even give me an opportunity to ask further questions. Would highly recommend Optus to provide better customer service training for their staff.
Poor service and inexperienced staff. Wasted 7 days and still did not achieve anything.don't waste your time.
