Opteon

A completely useless organisation.

Valued our property using a whole heap of incomparable comparables. Missed the four most similar properties in the area. Valued the property at 12% less than two years ago when the median price is down 3% but construction costs (our home is effectively a new build) are significantly higher.

When challenged with the four most similar properties, then shrugged their shoulders and said the valuation stands.

Clearly have very inexperienced valuers with no idea of the market. I guess this is why they are valuers and not real estate agents, builders, etc.

Would avoid at all costs.

The bank has requested a valuation of my property, I've been currently planning a funeral for relative and been out of town. The amount of phones calls I receive everyday is borderline harrassment and I've told them I will call them I return home. Ive had to block the number. This is unprofessional.

Worst valuation company. They sent some guy named Daniel who was on the phone during the 15min he took to valuate the house. He didn’t even checked for all the intelligent things in the house like intelligent lighting, hot water system or aircon. He didn’t checked the quality of tiles, floors and other finishes. He was just on the phone. They came with an undervaluation, 55k less compared to another valuer. I couldn’t get the refinance from my first option because of this rubbish company. Though, my second option was still good and they send a good valuation company

David is incompetent. And reading from the reviews, it seems that the entire team is incompetent and have no idea how to do their job. If your bank is sending these guys to do your valuation, YOU MUST REFUSE and request somebody else. They will shaft you and it seems they get their jollies from doing that to their clients.

I have had the unfortunate experience to have Opteon appointed by my bank to assess progress claims of my home construction. For two separate progress claims, they said the house was not at the claimed stage and BOTH occasions this was found to be completely incorrect because they did not read (or are unable to read) the contract.
Opteon has never spoken to me or my builder (despite my begging and insistence that they do) and based on their reports have accessed my property (which is a building site) unaccompanied.
I will report Opteon to Worksafe Victoria and will never forgive the company for how badly they failed me.

Had great experience with Amy. The valuer was very knowledgeable, arrived on time we agreed. The valuation came quickly and all the process was quick and efficient. Thank you

I had a very bad experience with Optean twice they have a lady who evaluates property in my area and twice she undervalued my property once she came when we had just moved in saying that your house has one room with no blinds and i told her that i had ordered and it was coming she under valued and bank denied my refinance
Next time she came it had rained and there was mud outside my wife politely asked her to remove her shoes she took offence to that and even though solar panel was being installed on the house and landscaping work was going on she didn’t take both into consideration undervalued my property from even her previous evaluation and left and the bank again denied my application. Now she is coming again for evaluation and i fear that she will again do the same.

What a terrible terrible experience.job submitted on 18.04.22 to only find out today its cancelled without no notification.lady on the phone had no idea why it was cancelled, job assigned to Craig Whitten and he had no record of the job, a terrible experience spent the whole morning to get to the bottom of this.

Got my quote very fast. Melisa took all details and I get my quote 2 hours later. She was very wonderful.

Spoke to Melissa in the quotes team. I had been waiting for my quote for some time and Melissa apologized and assured me she would fix my issue that day. Within 30 minutes everything was fixed. I was upset initially but after being heard I had a great experience.

Awesome experience with Opteon. Melissa Filarski is awesome best valuer in Opteon. Melissa understood the urgency and re-arranged her schedule to assist and get the valuation done in record time. Client is really happy because of her settlement will be done ontime.

Will use this Opteon again and again.

Opteon hasn't the slightest clue on how to value property. Simple indicators like age of property, size of land, built area, quality of inclusions and extras are missed to be factored in. They will value your brand new property with a swimming pool the same as a ten year old property while ignoring your thousand times better quality inclusions.

My house has 2 living rooms 4 carpark spaces 2 bathrooms 3 bedrooms, fully internal renovated plus land size 600sq and they came with $510000 with valuation. I'm disgusted with them. My house was valued 600k 3 years ago

Have used Opteon on several of our properties and have found them to be extremely professional and accurate. Not sure why the bad reviews

Have been forced to use Opteon twice now. The first time (2018) they undervalued my home by $50k and didn't even file the valuation. This caused the bank to deny the loan.

Second time was this week they have valued my property purchased in 2019 at $10K more than I paid for it, in a growth area in the middle of a market boom where other similar properties sold in the last month are selling conservatively for $100k - $150K more.have asked the bank to find someone else. The bank thankfully agrees and is furious with them.

If I could give negative reviews. Has different fee structure for properties of same size. Holds onto valuations until challenged. Charges over $1000 for the same valuation conducted 6 months later when all they do is compare sales in the same area. Not to be trusted.

Horrible, shocking valuation, More than 70sqm front been ignored only put 4sqm of balcony？$420 rental in my area is already low, they only put $325? Are you kidding me?

They are terrible, valued our property 50K less than average selling price.they ignored big huge land block which could be sub divided without any dramas, without doing any changes to house for sub division.land itself was much more worth than what they valued.

WORST VALUER EVER!
Anthony salce and his associate Kevin valued my property. They were so rude and unprofessional. My broker and i disputed their valuation and provided him with 3 different estate agents appraisals and comparable sales which he didn't even look at and said no to even look at the data. Anthony called and spoke in a condescending and rude tome. He threatened to decrease the valuation when i complaint. WORST VALUER EVER!

Hopeless and pathetic is right to start off this review for Opteon Solution Property valuation group. Undervalued our acreage property by about 300k less inspite of sending the council valuation on rates notice and last 6 month sales on the same road. Charged the bank $1100 instead of the regular $200 odd fees considering this was an acre block and according to them should fall on the commercial fee bracket. Took 2 weeks to turnaround instead of the promised 2 day window. Stay away from this bunch. Andr** the valuer was totally immature and inexperienced looking at the end result.
