37Can get crowded but such a lovely place, friendly people and staff, very cosmopolitan, multicultural.
The best venue for intimacy, dancing and to experience the finest Melbourne emerging talent or extravagant creative scene. Don’t hesitate to swoon & romance your date here
Drop in to discover wonderful music styles from across this planet - accompanied by delicious crepes.
Awesome live music. Great crepes and a couple of decent Holgate beers on tap. Main bar is usually standing room only but you can't mark down a bar for being popular, eh?
A Northcote institution. Amazing variety of live music. Cosy, Parisian bar type feel. Good mulled wine. Adore this soulful place.
This is a great live music venue featuring all sorts of musicians; I’d describe it as a world music venue. The vibe of this spot, I’d describe as boho French bistro. It has a main stage area right but at the front with tables and chairs and small bar at the back. Beyond the bar there is an outdoor seating area lined with string lights above the trees and there are places to sit at if you prefer to get away from the music.
This is a small live music bar with also a court yard out the back. They seem to play jazz and folk rock?
A bit cramped and the selection of beer wasn't extravagant, but the vibe was brilliant and an overall nice place for casual drinks, food, and live performances
"Amazing atmosphere, affordable drinks and cute beer garden. "
What an amazing space for live music. Located in the heart of Northcote on High St, Open Studio sports live music of varying styles and cultures. I had the pleasure of enjoying the Oppo! Balkan band and had the time of my life dancing. It motivated me also that the whole room was up dancing with me.
The interior sports a small charming bar with personality. Being served by James and Hannah was an absolute treat. Really lovely people who are personable and get the job done efficiently. There is a really cute beer garden in the back that sports intimate tables for sitting with company and larger tables up the back for groups.
I am an aspiring musical artist that looks forward to be able to perform for this amazing space for art and music one day!
Good atmosphere and vibes, really linked to music where you will always find good live concerts
Tough one to review. This place is tiny.
The good - we saw an awesome band perform here but I felt sorry for how cramped they were. The place has a cool vibe. The crepes are simply amazing.
The bad - way too small for comfort. The crepes took over an hour to prepare.
If there is a good band on, give it a shot, otherwise, nah.
A brilliant venue for live music. I had the pleasure of seeing “Appalachian Heaven String Band” here recently and look forward to the next time I visit to see another good - preferably local - band.
Mulled wine, Dr Hernandez played soulful Latin, room to dance, vibrant atmosphere. Delicious salmon crepes. Intimate. A great music venue.
Open Studio offers fantastic crepes, sweet & savoury, and is a great supporter of spoken word & musical arts.
Love love love this place, one of my favourite live music venues in Melbourne. People are Grande and the staff are amazing. Love love love this venue!
Fantastic little bar. All about the live music. Doesn't have the biggest selection of drinks (couple of taps and a few bottles) but it has a great atmosphere and friendly bar staff. If you get peckish you can order a tasty crepe. Nice little beer garden out back too. 5*
Live Latin music was terrific! Service a bit patchy/slow but the place was v busy on this Friday night. Maybe a 2 star penalty is harsh.will revisit
