My favourite place to eat in Melbourne - I was visiting for 10 days and ate here for 5 of them. If that's not testimony to the quality I'm not sure what is! Kind staff, incredible food, please visit

Spacious and cosy little cafe with an array of amazing vegan options to choose from. Friendly service. Definitely will be visiting again

Delicious food and lovely staff. Great vegan cafe that serves a variety of options and easy take away food. I have only had the sandwiches so far and they have been amazing. The iced coffee in particular was amazing and I need to know what brand that ice cream was! Can't wait to come back and try some more of the menu.

A gorgeous little vegan cafe, highly recommended! I had brunch with family and it was just delicious with a lovely, laid back vibe. It's all vegan but they do have cow's milk for coffee if you prefer that. Affordable and lovely staff too.

I’m very allergic to eggs and milk (anaphylactic) and thought this vegan place would be a safe place to eat. Considering consuming eggs or milk could lead to death without medication for me I decided to call the place I was ordering from (I placed the order in Uber eats) just to make sure the place was COMPLETELY vegan, I asked the woman I spoke to on the phone if they handle anything with the allergens in the same kitchen or if there may be traces of anything in their products. She confirmed that there was NO products containing eggs or milk or anything from animals at all in their kitchen and that there was no traces of it in their products at all either. Having talked to the woman working at the restaurant I felt safe. When my food arrived I ate it and very shortly after felt something was very wrong. I got nervous and called AGAIN to confirm the information she just had given me. She confirmed everything again and reassured me I had nothing to worry about. Shortly after I got very sick and was driven to the nearest hospital where I was treated for anaphylaxis and had to stay for several hours in the ER. The next day I called the restaurant to tell them what had happened and asked for them to send pictures of all their ingredient lists to see if I may be allergic to any other allergens their food contained. The only allergens the food contained (Fried Chicken Sandwich) was soy and gluten which I eat on a daily basis and am obviously not allergic to. She also emailed the bakery that makes their bread asking for the full ingredient list, where she later on told me the bakery handles eggs and milks and there can be cross contamination. Based on the severity of my reaction this isn’t a case where there has been traces of the allergens in the bread, rather eggs or milk in the bread. My guess is that the restaurant has received the wrong bread or that there has been SEVERE cross-contamination.

Considering this is a vegan restaurant and my two calls to the restaurant to confirm it was safe to eat their food I really find it bad and unsafe. If I wasn’t in safe hands and got my medication I could’ve died, so can the next person who is allergic and decides to eat there considering one will be told it is safe. I don’t blame the woman who I spoke to, I see this as not enough knowledge and information about allergies and it not being taken seriously enough by the entire restaurant. Educate your staff! Make sure there is no cross contamination or traces of the allergens if you say there isn’t!

The allergic reaction has triggered my autoimmune disease psoriasis to flare up and I have now been trying to treat that for several months (the allergic reaction happened about three months ago). It has also caused severe anxiety and fear to even consume foods that I’ve made in my own home. That is a normal response after anaphylaxis but has affected me a lot and is annoying.

I write this for the sake of other allergic people, to warn and draw attention to the fact that this is not a safe place to consume “vegan” food if you have allergies to eggs or milk, and potentially other allergens.

I have proof of email and text communication, pictures of ingredient lists, the Uber order and Uber being contacted about what happened. I also have proof from the hospital about the severity of the reaction.
I write this from another account than my regular one since I don’t want this directly connected to me, although I am more than happy to come forward with my real personal contact information if wanted.

One for the Crow is my go to vegan cafe. The menu has great options the coffee is amazing and the sweets are delicious. The staff are super friendly and always welcoming. My favourite dish is the chilli scramble. My son loves the Korean burger and my daughter who is anaphylactic loves the mushroom medley. The staff are aware of my daughters allergy and I’ve always felt the chef takes extra care to make sure there are no peanuts in any of our meals. I highly recommend to check out this full of goodness vegan cafe if you haven’t yet

Got the chickn satay bowl takeaway and the peanut sauce was amazing! Chicken was nice and crispy. Wish there was more salad and it was nice and refreshing contrast against the deep fried chicken.

We decided to eat lunch here as most of the group were vegan or vegetarian. I'm neither and haven't eaten at a vegetarian place before. I had the waffles that were rolled in cinnamon sugar, topped with poached cinnamon apples, ice cream, and cashew cream. It was all delicious. I especially loved the cashew cream which I was a little sceptical of. Everyone enjoyed their meals and everything looked amazing.

A place for great coffee. Food options, yet to stop by for food once. Great staff who are very friendly and inviting.
Overall, the cafe has a relaxed vibe, with some plants and cool artwork on the walls.

The coffee prices are slightly higher compared to the cafes in this area, but that shouldn't stop me from going to this place, considering all the other positives.

I will definitely stop by to try out the food options:)

Heard a lot about this Plant Based Cafe and I must say I was not disappointed. Loved the sunny side up Vegan Egg. Many claim to make good ones but these guys delivered what others just talk about.

Definitely will visit them again.

Fantastic vegan café! From mind blowing vegan sunny eggs to korean chickn burger, to satay bowl, fritters and pastries! Oh, and the best baristas in the inner west. We go there multiple times a week. Highly recommend!?

The best Vegan food in town. Absolutely love their Satay Chicken Bowl and the Korean Chicken Burger. One place where the change of owners haven't affected the quality of the food (only if it got better). Good luck guys. Keep it up.

We didn’t realise it was a vegan cafe until we sat down and looked at the menu, was a tad disappointed but ordered anyway. Thankfully we did because we were blown off our socks at how AMAZING the food was! Cafe was short staffed but food and coffee still came out in a timely manner, staff were friendly. Couldn’t fault our experience.

We walked in made out order and then sat down to have some brekkie. 4 times we were asked to give up our seats after ordering to eat in. Then our coffees to eat in came in takeaway cups while the food came on plates. Staff were rude. Our drinks were all sub par. Not that hard to make a tea and 2 coffees.
Only reason this review isnt 1 star is the food was amazing.

A great find. The food here is delicious and servings are plentiful. I took 2 newly vegetarians and they were highly impressed with the flavours and textures of the mock meat used. The hero dish was the chilli tofu scramble. Yum!
