I would not eat here again. Quality of the food is no good. The softshell crab was over fried and super dark. Looks like the oil hasn't been changed for a week. Same goes for the karage chicken. The food should look crispy and fresh, in a light golden brown colour. Not burnt, dark and taste like oil.

Go to The Omi outside Melbourne Central its much better quality well worth the extra walk and costs the same.

We had the Wagyu tasting place and the meat was so succulent! The teriyaki sauce was flavoursome too. Highly recommend

Always delicious with generous portions. Even when I changed it to a fried egg this time, it still tasted great. The staff was exceptionally friendly, double-checking my takeout order and making sure to include the utensil set!

Food was great and definitely worth the money. I got the fish and partner got teriyaki chicken. We’ll eat again

OMI QC is undoubtedly one of my most favorite places to eat in Melbourne. Food over here is quite reasonable and portions are in good quantity.

One of the best japanese food I had! I had the salmon with salted egg sauce and it’s the best match ever.

I came here at 1: 30pm after the lunch rush with no queue. Unfortunately the extremely long wait time to receive my meal - 17 minutes for noodles in broth and seared pork makes this hard for me to recommend for an office worker with a strict time limit. The meal itself was decent but but worth the wait time, particularly as I had to eat it very quickly.

Given that this outlet is situated in a hyper competitive food court, with many quicker and equally tasty options, I'm reluctant to return to OMI for my work lunch fix.

If I had a longer lunch break, I'd probably go to a sit down venue.

I really enjoyed the food. Good portion size for the price and they tasted delicious. They're also very generous with the sauces which I prefer. But since the staff is limited and they're overwhelmed with orders, it may take a while for my orders to arrive. They still have long queues even close to closing time. Definitely a place to come back to.

Poor fare for 19 bucks. Salad was a few leaves in a plastic container, miso soup tasted like it came from Woolies or something. Teriyaki chicken wasn't even grilled properly, although it was cooked through. Tiny portions. Nothing Japanese about this place when they can't even do simple Japanese dishes correctly.

Their concept is simple: pick your meal, choose rice or udon noodle as a base, then select the sauce.

I ordered the Teriyaki chicken with udon noodles.

It was served with a poached egg on top and a miso soup on the side.

I hated it! The whole thing didn't go together, and my only salvation was the miso soup. The teriyaki was tasteless and the egg on top was just a no for me.

For the price you pay ($16.20), you are definitely better off somewhere else. Overpriced with poor quality.

I ordered truffle beef three times from OMI QB. The beef I got is getting less by every order and where is the truffle this time? Left one is from today and the right noone from a previous order.

The salted egg chicken sushi rolls got me food poisoned! I’m afraid I have to write this review so nobody falls into the same nightmare.

Food court quality but at restaurant prices. Looks so delicious but the flavours weren’t there. The chicken prices were quiet large to have a fork full of chicken mixed with the other ingredients- the chicken needs to be cut in smaller pieces. The salted egg fries were a bit soggy and the salty egg sauce was very salt and basically not to our taste. I’ve tried the truffle fries previous and they were better.

Poorly presented, under size. Almost no vege. Over priced and unagi bones almost stabbed into my throat. The sauce is too sweet. Totally not worth it. Super DISAPPOINTED.

Had the wagyu on rice and truffle fries. Nice flavours although it was the minimal amount of beef given. Staff was helpful.

One of those things that look good in the pictures, seems good in theory but falls down in reality. It’s an okay don and kudos for getting wagyu at a relatively affordable price point. But everything is too rich, too much sauce. Flame broiling it is a nice touch but with all the richness already with the sauce, beef and egg. Very unbalanced dish, will not be back

Enjoyed a quick bite to eat here. Service was quick and the price was very good. Enjoyed the Udon noodle and the chilli soft shell crab.
