Omaru Farm reviews
22We enjoyed a lovely dinner for 2 al fresco, outside the cafe, of bryani rice (beef), chicken butter cream and naan bread. The food was delicious, authentic and not too spicy, and the views from our table outside was just stunning. Parking was simple and it was a quiet and a relaxed evening, The staff were friendly and we felt very welcome.
Delicious curry dinner and wonderful breakfasts too.
The view is spectacular and the vast array of wines and beers makes this a perfect sunset spot!
There's a great play park and trampoline for kids too.
I ordered butter chicken from the menu, but they served chicken curry instead. When I inquired with the chef, they insisted it was butter chicken. Unfortunately, my daughter couldn't eat it due to its spiciness, leaving us quite disappointed.
This is a gorgeous farm stay in Phillip Island. There were a couple of Dogs that accompanied us around the farm, where we got to see chickens and cows. They also sell farm produce among other organic food. Owner is a lovely Sri Lankan lady, and their cafe offers authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Made a friend here, Alka, who showed us around and ensured that we received the best service. We loved this personal touch. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff and pleasant ambience. Highly recommended. I would definitely plan for the overnight stay on my next visit.
Nice location.
Food is below avarage and dissapointing.
Staff is really friendly.
Barthrooms are clean.
Very friendly service, good environment and location.
More importantly, we can pet doggy!
I love cafe Omaru! There panrolles are to die for and should be more popular️ Thank you r, l, m, a
Beautiful location and delicious Sri Lankan food. The staff were so lovely and attentive.
We were a party of 9, and the food was ready within 15 mins of ordering. Generous portions of delicious Sri Lankan food that left everyone fully satisfied. The outdoor view from the dining area was gorgeous, and the place is very well kept and clean.
Had a wonderful time there, and highly recommend to everyone.
Was on the way to The Nobbies from Cowes and found this farm store and cafe on the way along C473. This place is a bit hidden from plain view and could be easily missed. But if you find it, then you have discovered a gem. True Sri Lankan hospitality and the owner is a very friendly lady. The breakfast and lunch options are awesome. The sitting areas, especially the outdoor ones to the far side of the cafe had breath taking views from where you could actually have a view of the sea.
The place also boasts of a farm stay and a store as well. Did not have an advance plan, but next time definitely making it a point to stay on this farm and unwind.
Such a lovely spot:) incredible view, the beef biryani was 10/10 and very friendly service. Thankyou
Did not stay just went there for a coffee what a view great location to just spend some time.
Best food i have tasted and the environment was so amazing.for a moment i felt like i was in sri lanka having a nice meal.very friendly service and nothing bad to say.great job guys.
Authentic Sri Lankan curry dishes and snacks served up in a great picturesque location just next door to penguin parade. Fresh organic farm produce store on location too to grab a few items before leaving Philip Island.
Attended the dedicated curry night with my partner and had a sensational night. Entertainment with the guitarist was excellent, the food freshly cooked and top notch, the staff and service very hospitable and obliging! Will definitely look forward to the next curry night as the weather warms.
Had the chicken curry lamb curry and egg plant also tuna
The fished was not scaled horrible to hv scales in your mouth the chicken curry and eggplant definitely not authentic and weird tasting will
Not go there again.
If you are looking to go here please read this before you go!
I have no idea how this place has 4.4 stars.
We went to this farm today 3/4/21 with two other Sri Lankan families. The food was way expensive compared to other Sri lankan Restaurants.
Cutlet balls: $7 Each
Samosa $5 Each!
Lunch per person without dessert $55 pp
We tried to buy chilli paste from the shop it was over $12 for small bottle.
The shop didn't have any fresh vegetables, everything was rotten and so expensive.
Will not recommend this place to anyone. Ripping people off.
Great views and all so its good to go here just for the views.
We tried to look at the Vegetable garden at least and it wasn't allowed What a waste of time!
Good coffee, polite staff, bit slow as they are starting out. Wonderful curry smell of Sri Lankan food. Awesome views over the Bay and toward the Nobbies.
A lovely little cabin stay with views of the beach (no walking access to the beach). The staff and owner are all incredibly friendly and excellent hosts. Lovely to go through the farm store and buy fresh produce.
