Omar And The Marvellous Coffee Bird reviews
70This is not a meal. It's barely a snack. This is not a salad. It's barely a handful of leaves. $12 goes no where these days, especially at Omar's. 2 small eggs and one piece of toast like c'mon what is going here?
Always excellent coffee and friendly staff. Incredibly consistent over the many years I have been a customer.
The Omar team are true professionals, dedicated to making the greatest coffee. They offer traning courses in coffee making to make your own. But visiting Omar's every day is treat, and seeing how everything they do is about making the perfect coffee.
Going to Omar’s more closely resembles a charitable donation than a legitimate purchase. Just look at the size of this very full priced coffee and try to convince yourself that this is a reasonable or normal transaction.
Staff are super rude, especially the shaved head guy with round glasses. As for the coffee, expensive and nothing special. If you are after that snobby wanabee hipster vibe coffee then this is the place for you.
I have tried this place many times over the years and I find their milk coffee consistently weak - even when I specify strong. I do enjoy their long black, however.
The Kenyan pour over was really nice and the staff recommended the Cruffin, which is really good! It's an interesting little pastry, like a croissant in a log/elongated muffin form it's fun to eat. The staff are friendly and chill. During covid19 times, social distancing at this little cafe was very responsible the morning we went. Good on them! I really loved the high ceiling space as well! Really good vibes at this spot. Will definitely be back for more coffee & treats
Truly good coffee (perhaps a little expensive, but worth it). Beans are roasted on site (which smells awesome in the afternoons!) Friendly atmosphere and convenient location. They also support the Skip app, so you can order beforehand.
Incredible coffee, great food & amazing service! Highly recommend sitting & enjoying the environment.
First time at this boutique coffee cafe which always looks busy. After paying $12 and waiting about 10 minutes for a large flat white and large almond flat white, we were a little disappointed. Unfortunately we found the coffee to be a bit weak and not worth the money. We were hoping to love this place as it’s the only place this side of the Nepean for us.
Waited for almost 40 min for porched eggs and the waiter camr and said that they are having an issue with the eggs and that it might take a while. Ridiculous. We just left
Vibrant and humble local cafe with friendly and courteous staff. Vast selection of excellent coffees and delicious menu items to compliment them. Family friendly environment.
Great chai & iced lattes. Waldorf salad was on point as well. Great little cafe and will definitely be back.
Stopped by while I was looking at houses - after the kitchen had closed. The young lady that looked after me was fabulous, as was the hot chocolate - something most cafés get terribly wrong. As the kitchen had closed, I grabbed a brownie and a passion fruit melting moment to go. The MM was %#^*ing amazing. Super crumbly shortbread with a gorgeous filling. The brownie was ok. A little on the cakey side. Could use some dark/bitter choc. Either way 5 stars. Definitely coming back.
Fantastic coffee, cool place - looking forward to coming back and trying something from their menu too
Sometimes you get a fantastic coffee, other times you receive a Luke warm cup of coffee flavoured milk. Everything else is always fantastic, the service, the food, atmosphere, etc. But the coffee is so damn inconsistent it really let's the place down.
8 dollars for a strong standard latte is a bit over the top. The coffee was nice but nothing amazing. This was my third time there and thought order a strong one as the previous had been like warm milk. Doubtful i would ever go back.
I love this place for great coffee and tasty, tasty food with a twist. If you have ANY questions about coffee, just ask and they will gladly give you the low down
Guys, it's on of the best coffee spots in Melbourne. What I also like in this beautiful place that it's always clean and fresh. Thank you Omar for your love and passion about coffee.
