Ollies Chicken Melton

Chips are delicious. The special sauce tastes like heaven. Fillets are beautiful and are good sized. Staff is lovely and kind. Also found it cute that they have old photos of previous menus and the development of the restaurant:)

Scammed, I ordered a chicken burger, and I got a frozen processed paddy in a bun.
I CANNOT believe the Audacity of this place. And while here I am trying to support a small business, I find myself after 5 years pondering if they even deserve any. Ordered 3 chicken burger meals and didn’t get that, they could have said that they’re all out of chicken, but instead took my money for a frozen paddy.
SHAME on you, it’s easy to see that they have no dignity or morals. Such a shame.
ALWAYS. Check your meals to what they advertise before walking out. And if you don’t get what you PAID for. Demand a refund.

Use to be really nice but has gone down hill.
Chicken was dry and over cooked, potato and gravy tasted like water, the chips were ok but not great, my dinner roll was a hot dog roll cut into a 1/3rd and it wasn't fresh and my drink was warm.

The food was disappointing and soggy not to mention my wrap was cold like it came out of a fridge.

Fried chicken without the KFC volume of grease. One of the few remaining Ollies Trollies. Fried menu as to be expected with lots of combos to suit your hunger, taste or budget. Went here off peak. Quick friendly service. Ate in store. Clean and comfortable seats and tables.

Spent over $50 for chicken that was dry and soggy, very oily chips, undercooked chips. The store itself is pretty dirty.
Really disappointed and lucky there is a lot more other chicken and chips stores in the area.

Went today to get family dinner, it was absolutely disgusting. The state of the store, was very dirty. And the food was cold, soggy and 3/4 chips had to be thrown out they were black. The chicken peice I got for my burger was black in the middle as in mould black. The food smelt off I threw it all away. Just wasted $45 to throw in the bin. Disgisting. Never again. STAY AWAY!

I have been eating Ollies barbecue chicken ever since I came to Melton 19 years ago! Their chicken is hands down the best, it is always tender and never dry and I love it

Have been eating here for 18yrs - quality has certainly gone down - both chips & chicken are both smaller portions & cooked in old oil?
Not keen to buy Ollies Chicken again until things improve - so sad: (My sons 1st job was at Ollies, he was proud to work there.

Definitely not somewhere to dine in but great take away food. Ollies special sauce is worth trying.

Old school fried chicken. To be honest it is the bean salad that did it for me. Memories of KFC bean salad as a kid came to mind. Yum. Had to buy a big tub to take home.

Went to Ollies tonight to get dinner, asked for specific chicken pieces in a 3 piece feed (I don’t eat dark meat) and they completely disregarded what I asked for and gave me the wrong pieces without saying anything. FIRST time ever not checking before I leave the store, got home to find it, called up and was told “Nothing they could do”. What a waste of a $40 order, straight in the bin it goes. They mess up and refuse to fix it? Bad business practice and against consumer law to not offer a solution.

Ollies, you've dropped your game tonight and not happy at all with the service.
Firstly to be told you're too busy for phone orders, then whilst waiting in store for my order you were serving customers their phone orders.
Not to mention when we got home one piece of chicken had a piece of metal wire in it from a scourer or wire brush.
I've been trying to call for the past 30 mins but am unable to get through as you must be "too busy"

It would be great seeing as though you're spending good money on a fried chicken pack if they would include a leg piece, twice now I have been to ollie's and got a 5 piece pack and just got wings.pretty pathetic.lift your fricking game ollie's!

Food was average staff weren't really freindly there was no hand towel in the male toilets to dry your hands

We ordered food from hear tonight my partner had a bite of the chicken with a peice of hair In it ran spoke to the manager to be told nothing she could do absolutely pathetic when we spent 72.00 dollars

Did not like the chicken but I don't think I can fault them for that, it's probably really good my buddies enjoyed it. Also bonus points for accurate autism poster inside

10.30am opens and fresh, its Absolutely mouth watering just try it Melton owned shop nice people

Definitely NOT as nice as it was when I was there a few years ago.

Witnessed a man in a wheelchair unable to enter the shop because of a step. Nobody helped or seemed to care?

Thankfully he had a friend who was able to go inside to order, pay n then bring his lunch out to him

So glad it wasn't raining because there was no roof to create a shelter for anyone who can't get inside. Same applies to the sun on hot days.

No step makes it almost or fully impossible for certain people to be able to go to Ollie's if they chose to.

Get a ramp ASAP!

Been in Melton for 8 years now and never actually ate here. Went today for lunch cause I thought hey may as well and it was SO GOOD. The chips didn’t taste greasy or oily like most chips do which was a pleasant surprise and the burger was incredible. Great size, great taste. Costumer service was lovely too. Will definitely eat here again and again.
