Oliver Birch

We hired Eliza of Oliver Birch for house staging for the sale of our property - we got there in the end and the house looked good and sold quickly, however the process to get there was far from smooth or professional - no detailed design proposal or contract was provided so there was a lack of clarity and consensus over what was included/excluded, the "mood board" initially provided to show the intended look and feel was basic to say the least, and did not really reflect the initial brief provided, the pricing went up over 20% once we were committed and it was too late to switch to another provider (without notice or justification), pre-hire promises of inclusive consultation and the ability to be involved in the choosing of items were not incorporated into the actual process, the payment schedule was not clarified at the start, which caused minor disputes, and communication generally around products to be used and the project timeline was lacking (to the point that I felt I was being deliberately ghosted/excluded), which made our pre-sale process far more stressful than it needed to be. Until the house was fully staged we weren't confident that it would get done on time and to the required standard (our real estate agent had to closely project manage the process on our behalf), and there was an overall lack of polish and expertise on the interior design and customer service side that did not reflect the high quality image of this company. While I understand home staging is a sideline and not the main focus of this business, I feel they need to either develop and implement actual professional procedures and documentation for this service or not offer it at all, as the service standard I experienced was quite sub-par and added considerable angst to an already stressful house-selling process.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Oliver Birch Bendigo, my chair arrived when promised, picked up and assembled at home (only had to screw legs is) found a slight hiccup with frame, spoke to Charley and she arranged for Tony to call me back with a fix, Tony called me back at promised time and talked me through the adjustment needed on the frame, chair is back to 100% and looking perfect in the room.
Would not hesitate to buy a top quality leather lounge from these guys, price was good, and customer service was fantastic, and after sales service, even better, would recommend Oliver Birch Bendigo when your looking for that something special in your home.

We went in to check this shop out as we parked right out front for lunch around there. For me, it's bit pricey but I can understand why though. The quality, hand-made and uniqueness are probably the reason. We bought soap bars for $12 each but my partner like them. Nice decoration and relaxing feel when walking around the shop. Check it out if you're around.

Not only are their products amazing, on trend and reasonable in price. The customer service, especially of that of Eliza and the Bendigo store is above and beyond.

Nice looking store but everything is either imported or from interstate. So disappointed that local products are not stocked in local stores, when will retailers understand, I can buy the same stuff on Amazon etc, I buy local to support local business. Particular comments to the Australia cocktail syrups made with 0% Aussie ingredients. Was ignored for 10 mins, but service when prompted was gold

Love this place! Great furniture and home decorative range. Staff are friendly and helpful! Great for also purchasing giftware. Beautifully made products.

Walked in, had about 5 women look me up and down, never greeted me, felt awkward and left, is this a women only shop i didnt know about? Either way, i shopped online and saved a fortune with better quality, go me!

A great homewares and furniture store!
After purchasing there during a stay at Bendigo, I made the trip up from Melbourne just to make another purchase (occasional chair), then back to Melbourne straight after.
So, with the never ending array of homeware stores in Melbourne, it says something about Oliver Birch.
Also the staff are very helpful and spend time making sure you are happy with your purchase.
Oh, and the furniture is made locally which is another reason to go there.
I received my chair today, and love it!

The BEST customer service ever! I had been searching for a specific rug FOR EVER and I came across the Oliver Birch website. Called them, Eliza could not have been more helpful, took photos and sent them through to me so I could make a considered online purchase, organised delivery, wow wow wow I have not had service like that in a very long time! Thanks Oliver Birch I will totally be coming to check you out when I come to Bendigo!
