Olinda Playspace reviews
32The best playground around. Ropes course, flying fox, sand and water play, surrounded by beautiful nature with picnic facilities.
Great natural play space. Good for a range of ages including toddler area.
Lovely natural looking garden, rock and sand features with animal and mosaic sculptures and scenic background.
Shade, picnic tables, toilets, BBQ, coffee van, scenic views, grass space, sand and water play, large rope climbs area, flying fox, trampolines.
I have heard about this playground and finally taken my grandson today.
It’s fantastic with many things for kids to play on, swings, slides, flying fox, mini trampolines, water play, mini roundabout ride and sandpits.
Nice and large playground. I would be coming here often if it wasn’t a far distance to drive. Although, I noticed that there were no barbecues, which was one of the main reasons we went.
Absolutely beautiful on a day like today. Cool but sunny. A walk on the old golf course behind the play area is a real treat too.
Very decent size playground with a variety of equipment that would entertain kids from toddler age to about middle high school I would say. Clean and beautiful area with toilet nearby. Decent space for BBQ and picnics.
A large playground in a picturesque location. There are different zones, including a sandpit, ropes course (suitable for younger kids), flying foxes, cubby houses, small round trampolines, swings and slides. A perfect spot to stop by if you are visiting the Dandenongs with kids: they can burn off energy while you relax and enjoy the view! It was very busy when we visited, and all the kids seemed to be having a ball. (Note: BYO soap as the public toilets didn't have any, and neither of the flying foxes have a seatbelt, so not suitable for younger kids).
One of the best playspaces in Melbourne, definitely the best one in the hills! We come here a lot. It's huge with activities for every single age, truly. It's so well designed with different types of play from sand and water to ropes course, great slides and 2 flying foxes. And the view from the off leash dog area is spectacular.
It was a great play area developed with wide range of activities and can accommodate kids of all ages. I wish tje toilets could have been cleaner.
Great place for the kids. Very family friendly and so many things for little and big kids to explore.
An amazing playground at the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, next to the Botanic Gardens. It has a variety of equipments for different ages including a dual zip line and the natural bushes nearby. Family pets can also enjoy a walk around the green meadows. The toilets are spacious and okay. There are BBQ stations near the entrance too.
Big enough playground with slides, few sculptures, trampoline, flying fox, slides, water features, good picnic place with tables.
Great playground with lots of different play areas and artwork. Don't come here on a super hot sunny day though because there is little shade.
Large playground, lots of features for a range of ages. Some shelter, great views down from the mountain, toilets. Little shade.
Brilliant playground in a scenic location. Good sensory activities, suitable for young kids. Accessible toilets with change tables provided.
A great play space for kids with lots of different things to do. Bring your family for a picnic also
Amazing now they renovated. I wish they mowed the grass though so people could use it for sitting and not worry about grass seed on their pets in the dog walking area.
Really great playground, nice to have play activities to suit a range of ages (toddler, preschool, big "kids" zipline, water play, sand, ropes course and more). Lost a star as very little shade, only 3 picnic tables undercover while the rest of the seating is in the open full sun. Recommended taking own chairs or blanket and get in early to get a spot under the trees. Parking area is not so good but I am assuming it will be fixed as part of the ongoing upgrade.
Very popular new park built in 2019. It is an excellent place for young ones to play but it isn't fenced (not an issue for us). Has beautiful views on Silvan Dam on a clear day. Has some water play, sand, flying foxes, cubbys, playground, mini in ground trampolines, roundabout and a shady rotunda with 3 or 4 tables. Toilets too. Only thing is the drinking fountain is too high for my 5yo to use on his own.
Lovely area to explore (formerly Olinda Golf Course).
