Okami Japanese Restaurant reviews
32The food and service was excellent, but the number of children totally out of parental control and noise spoilt the evening. Sound absorption is nil with all hard surfaces. So almost deafening.
Come here hungry, leave here full. It is delicious. I had a great time
Food is really really good.
Great way to try out what you like from Japanese restaurants. I liked all the dishes I ordered and my wife who is picky enjoyed everything as well
A couple of the waitresses were friendly enough but other than that the service was quite poor. On the first round of all you can eat we ordered 11 plates and only received 5. After 35 minutes had passed we still had all our dirty plates on the table that waitresses had seen on passing multiple times and no one had returned to take another order despite them seeing us without food, appearing as if waiting and even looking at menu. I ended up having to approach counter to request service to order and follow up on plates of previous order that was not received.
Despite my polite and smiling approach I was met with a bad attitude rather than apology. The food did come out a tad faster from there but still dirty empty plates were consistently left on our table when dropping off new ones.
Overall just a below average service experience and much more worthwhile taking that extra drive to Pakenham Okami that always provide amazing service.
Awful service. Told on the phone we could pop in without a booking only to find an uptight manager who wouldn’t seat us although there were several empty tables. Gave some lame excuse about sitting times which was nonsense. Another Chinese all-you-can-eat pretending to be classy Japanese. What a joke.
First time at a Japanese restaurant and was amazing, great service and even better food will be going back a lot. Was able to order as many dishes as I like at one time.
Amazing fresh food made as you order.
In total, much cheaper than a pub for a group and we all left full!
Great food, great service and good value for money.
Recommended for a quick bite or a meal with friends.
Fresh and hand made sushi, they really try to make every dish as special and as well as they can, just well done and keep it up guys. You're one of the best Japanese restaurants around.
Busy, popular restaurant so order your takeaway early. The staff are friendly and the inside nice and warm. It looks like a great place for a group of people such as friends, family or work colleagues to eat.
We enjoyed our food, but it wasn't quite our thing.
What a beautiful venue, My favorite part of the dining experience was the all-you-can-eat menu, with the option to choose from a range of foods off the Menu and have them delivered to the table, as well as tasting different types of food, my favourite being the Miso steak, fried rice, and vegetable gyoza and ice cream. This was the first time and we did not waste any of our meals with the fine print.we would definitely do it again, staff was friendly, and a waitress was assigned to your table. A must try experience
The food was amazing and the value for food is incredible. Lovely restaurant and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you like quality japanese cuisine.
