Okami - Pakenham

Food was good, but service could have been better.
We were a group of 8 people. Of the Mains ordered, 4 came within 20 mins or so, but the other 4 people were kept waiting for about 50 mins.
Possibly might have been because we ordered from the the full menu, not the 'all you can eat' menu which seems to be more popular

Food was ok, under sauced/seasoned.poor service, took 10 mins to get some salt, initial food came out before drinks, ordered some smaller basic dishes well before last order call and it arrived 5 minutes before end of session which was cut short by 15 minutes not making it a full 2 hrs. The beef carpaccio tasted like cleaning chemicals. Pretty generous giving 3 stars. Asked for a 2nd water and it never arrived. Staff hard to flag down, very eyes forward (blinkers on)

Absolutely scrumptious Japanese cuisine. Every time we've been, we've never been disappointed.

The food is good, just like all Okami restaurants.

BUT, terrible customer service and extremely slow service is enough to put us off returning to the Pakenham restaurant.
Took nearly half hour just to get our drinks, ask to order and they just never return to take the order and when you finally get food they never come back to clear the tables and just let the dishes stack up

Food was great, think we tried almost all of it Quick service even when it became really busy. Looking forward to our next visit.

Delicious food all round, quick and friendly service. A great concept, the whole family really loved the experience!

Went to Okami Pakenham on a Tuesday night and we were there for 2 hours and were only served twice which is really disappointing. There were plenty of staff walking around clearing tables and behind the bar, however no one was taking orders and so we were only able to order when we waved someone to our table after waiting almost 45 minutes each time. The food is great but am unsure if we will be returning as it doesn’t feel like an all you can eat restaurant anymore.

Food was excellent, but they have charged 5 people instead of 4, when I ask the refund they said, it will be transferred to my bank account after 3-5 days. Also waiter lady said tea pot is $3 and it can be refilled after, so we ordered 2 pots and they have charged for 5. When I ask about this they said they are charging for no of people. So pls check your bill before paying at the counter.

They offer delicious food with a huge variety of dishes. The all you can eat was amazing, my favourites were sushi, beef, prawns and squid! A/c was a bit to cold but I can highly recommend Okami! Thanks guys!

Went for my birthday dinner with family. Food was amazing and great value for money. Staff were friendly enough and the food came out really quickly. We all really enjoyed and will definitely be returning.

Hi there, we was there last night to celebrate the birthday party. This was our 10th time maybe.we are regular customers since when you guys opened the restaurant, we did notice yesterday very poor, careless and unprofessional customer service from 2 of your staff. Older women and male worker, Please tell them smile when they present and don’t bring their arrogant attitude to the tables.rest of the team was very nice and the food. Maddy

I attended the Christmas party here yesterday. Food is absolutely amazing and I tried their new mock-tail summer sunset which was so niceee! Staff looked quite busy but they were friendly and helpful! Everyone was enjoyed!

While the food never fails to disappoint, the service was terrible tonight. We came in early to ask for a reservation and were told they closed at 10pm, failing to mention that the kitchen closed at 9pm. We felt like an absolute burden to our server. Multiple dishes didn’t come out and we were constantly stared down during our dine in as we were the last ones there. Not worth the money this time.

Regretful experience at Okami Pakenham for dinner. Just a big mess. Feels like the atmosphere at a Westfield foodcourt. Dirty floor probably due to the huge amount of people there. Table and chair everywhere, probably to maximise profits. I did not like the atmosphere. We got a few entrées then ordered mains, waited nearly one hour and nothing. Asked waiting staff and our order was not recorded. The few things we tasted were cold and bland. Walked out with an empty stomach and only good thing, we were not charged. Will never return - thank you.

Amazing Japanese restaurant! All-you-can-eat style with an amazing Miso steak and Teriyaki chicken among many others. Entree menu was detailed and extensive as was the drinks menu although desert options were quite limited. Happy to recommend this one!

5 stars for staff Judy and staff, and the restaurant ambiance. Food wise maybe 3 or 4 stars, as it isn't truly authentic and this is just coming from experience plus travels and my cultural/ethnic background, knowing what Japanese food should really taste like. I guess it is satisfactory for first timers or those not fussed about authenticity. We got a good feed for a group of 5 and the amount we paid was reasonable. There was really no room for dessert afterwards but we did try the green tea ice cream which was an excellent palate cleanser.

Sadly I was disappointed! Long wait for dishes to be served to the table. Seemed like not enough wait staff, No one came to take drink order until way into our seating time. A few of the dishes were very tasty but a lot were cold when served to our table.

Food great. Service bad. I do not think there is a manager on site that monitors service quality. Reviews months ago seems different, change in management?

Absolutely love this place. The all you can eat has a great selection and the food is so delicious! Definitely value for your money!
