Oh dumplings reviews
28 Absolutely delicious dumplings, and now recently - roast pork and bbq pork offerings.
Can take a little while if you try to order during the lunch crush and fall behind a line of door dash or Uber Eats but it’s well worth it and it is always generous servings and well presented. Seating is a bit uneven and not the comfiest to dine in but the food still trumps that regardless.
We ordered our dinner here last night and it was incredibly delicious. We couldn’t get enough with the duck fried rice. 4.5/5 I highly recommend to try Oh Dumplings!
Ordered food with UberEats and thrown the entire order in the bin.
The taste of Noodles and the fried rice was just ingredients put together and didn’t even feel like cooked together.
The chicken ribs were the best part of the order as they were fried and edible.
It’s criminal how these places still hold 4.6 ratings on UberEats.
UberEats are the bigger cheats of course.
DON’T ORDER.
A small store inside building. Only suited for 3-4 tables dining in. Not overly welcoming to eat in. Food was a little slow as Uber eat orders continuously kept piling up on the bench. Food was hot and tasty, reasonably priced
Dumplings are freshly made and cooked on the spot. It is reasonably cheap compared to other shops. 15 pork and cabbage dumplings for $13.50!
Do require some patience as there are only 3 working there.
I usually make sure I don’t judge a restaurant by its ‘cover’, and it especially applies here. Had the chicken and prawn bao, and one of the best xiao long baos I’ve tried. How it looks can be improved though, with boxes outside.
Was really good. We had fried dumplings, chilli cauliflower, and the custard buns were really really good. Food was served really quickly.
We also had 30% off with the eat club.
Quite possibly the worst food I’ve had in Melbourne. I ordered on uber eats and the spring rolls and dumplings were terribly squishy and just as flavorless as the Shanghai Noodles.
Oh dumplings is in Little Bourke St, in the same building with The Poke man. The staffs were polite and friendly. The quantity is pretty reasonable. Their Xiao Long Bao is tasty and good. If it comes with ginger sliced will be perfect. Their chicken fried rice and yellow chicken and prawn dumplings were a disappointment. The fried rice has wok fragrance but the rice sadly hard. The chicken and prawn dumplings were hard and tough to chew. Overall, it is a small restaurant with simple food, friendly staffs and delicious Xiao Long Bao.
Amazingly average. Came here for an average meal and happily received the following:
Great food
Poor service
No toilets on site
10/10 would come back here again. If it was any better I would be disappointed.
Mediocre food, illegal card surcharges. Went to pick up an Eatclub order and tried to buy a Coke as drinks weren't on the app. Tried to charge me 20c on a $4.50 drink. THIS IS ILLEGAL, STOP. DOING. IT.
Sorry for being a bit rude however.
Dumplings are fine but anything else is horrible.
I ordered sichuan pork with rice, the pork texture was like" jerk", tough thin slicesnof very dark meat. No taste, no flavour.just horrible. Never coming back here again
Went here on a Groupon voucher couldn't of been more happy with the food very filling we got alot for only $38 my wife was also full and we are big eaters photo shows nothing left on the plates can't say the foods bad highly recommended please try with or without voucher
Good food, basic decor, reasonable prices. Service can be a bit slow they seem to give takeaway orders priority over dine in orders.
Me and my husband bought a groupon voucher- yum cha deal. We came here on one of our dates and the food was amazing! Staff were friendly and gave us complementary drinks. Great value for money!
Partner received a voucher for dine in for 2 people. We attended to be told we cannot use it because it is chinese new year and they are too busy. So now the $40 is wasted. No apologies just i cannot serve you today.
Pre ordered an hour ahead, arrived at pickup time and they had not started cooking it. Dumplings sat there for 15mins while they cooked other stuff. The Fried chicken was like leather and was inedible. Dumplings not cooked long enough which ment the dough was not cooked.
Tasteless beef noodle and bbq pork bao. Less than average dumplings. The only redeeming quality was the price.
Not only did they forget our drinks when we ordered online but short cutted us of spring rolls and didn't provide cutlery when it was specified we needed them. Tried calling the store but the number was disconnected?
Our favourite dumpling place, but I suspect the chef has changed? Every single dumpling was different today. Will still come back though!
Tip to staff: if you see 8 people waiting, maybe start announcing which orders you're bagging. A few people left annoyed today because they were waiting for no reason - their food was right in front of them the entire time. We can't all read your language)
