O'Gorman solid plastering

Joe is a superb craftsman. He did an amazing amount of stunning work for us on our old bluestone some 6 years back and we needed him again. It was wonderful for Joe to check out how his handiwork stood up (brilliantly) and it was so comfortable to have him back doing some bespoke work around the bluestone buildings windows. A real gentleman. Cannot recommend him too highly.

Let’s begin with Joe as the master craftsman that he is. Joe’s knowledge of his trade is exceptional, as was evident in and during our initial and continuous consultations during the works and his high standards, work ethic and outstanding ability as is evident at the completion of the works. The way he caringly and enthusiastically takes you on the transformation journey of and in your own home is unique and all absorbing and can only be truly experienced and valued once he is undertaken.

Let’s end with Joe as the remarkable person that he is. From the onset, Joe was able to listen, understand and advise us without any pretense or pressure. Joe is honest and open and his gentle and pleasant nature puts you at ease knowing that he truly has a genuine interest in making your works a positive experience. His courteous ways make it a pleasure to interact. A true gentleman.

Everything about Joe is First Class! His work is impeccable and his attitude is excellent. His plaster work on our 1901 home is amazing - our cornices, walls and ceilings look fantastic. Joe's piece de resistance was restoring the ornate ceiling in one of our rooms - amongst other things, one of the decorative friezes had fallen off. Joe made a cast from one of the remaining ones and then rebuild a replacement one in situ. I wish I could clone him to do every trade I ever need.

Joe has made our dreams come true! He is immensely skilled in traditional plastering methods, working carefully, caringly and confidently to restore our Victorian terrace in Carlton. He is a polite, compassionate person - a real gem and pleasure to have around. You would be hard pressed to find anyone who works like Joe. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Joe O'Gorman undertook extensive crack repair in our Victorian house. The result is exceptionally good. He is an ultimate craftsman, totally professional, totally reliable and a totally decent person.

We highly recommend Joe O’Gorman for solid plastering and restoration/ repair of heritage buildings. Joe repaired external render on our 1886 Victorian house. He was able to repair some damage to large walls whereas other plasterers told us we needed to replace render to the whole wall. He has the skills and training in traditional techniques we were looking for. Nothing was too much trouble and he is extremely tidy and polite and helpful.
We would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him.

We have recently had the pleasure of having Joe work on our ninety- seven year old Californian bungalow. The job was to repair the original lathe-and-plaster walls in a large room - Joe was sympathetic to our values of having the walls made neat and tidy, solid, ready for the next hundred years. He also understood that we were interested in the process and explained and demonstrated each step along the way. The result is wonderful.

There is no escaping the fact that lathe-and-plaster work creates mess and dust - but the care Joe took with covers and sheets meant this was kept to a minimum.

A very hard worker, exceptionally skilled, a delight to have around, we are happy to recommend Joe's services.

What a joy it was to see Joe work his magic on the damaged, broken and missing pieces of plasterwork on the façade of our 130 year-old home.
He carefully and expertly rebuilt features back to their original form using traditional techniques and natural materials.

19th Century Victorian ceiling restoration.
It was a pleasure to commission Joe to replace a damaged gutter cornice and replace a large ceiling rose.
Joe was punctual, professional and a perfectionist when it comes to solid plastering. Joe had a tight deadline and worked half the weekend to honor it, he’s very polite and likes to engage you in the stages of his work which instills confidence when restoring a 140 year old Victorian.
Joe cleaned up after each days work and was very affordable.
I would highly recommend Joe for any hard plastering work.

This is the second property I have had the pleasure to use Joe on and the results speak for themselves. He spent 3 weeks rendering the outside of my terrace and did an amazing job. He is meticulous and knows his craft so well and his knowledge of products and application is second to none!

Joe has done a fantastic job with our ceiling. Other people we called wanted to pull the whole ceiling down. Joe was the only person prepared to repair it. He was on time, cleaned up after himself and spent a good amount of time covering our surfaces with dropsheets to minimize dust. I was very impressed. I can’t recommend Joe highly enough. After having an extension put onto the front of our house, Joe came and rendered the brick and blue board. He blended in the old and new seamlessly, completely covering the brick so no shape shows through. He works quickly and very cleanly. We highly recommend Joe. Fabulous job!

Joe was great to deal with. He did a wonderful and very reasonably priced job. He started and finished on time even though we added a few extra things.
I had quite extensive damage to 3 walls which had required the house to be underpined. The walls now look like new and you would never know that there had been any damage.
