Officeworks South Melbourne

A staff who is possibly a supervisor or manager is not helpful. He refused to do the price match for me and insisted on was not the same product, even if he could compare the product specification listed on the competitor's website. Then I went to JB HI-FI and applied the price match successfully.

Waited 40 minutes in the printer queue just so people can get in front of me for picking what was ready. Staff definitely needs more help as this is the second time that this happens in 2 weeks. Very disappointed as I have lost my breaks for waiting and finished up with no questions answered again. Thanks

Printer kept jamming.took it back 18-8-23. Needed printer for work but had another of lesser quality. After sales service of Office works totally inadequate. Finally ready fo collection 14-9-23,3 weeks and 6 days. Absolutely no apology or even sympathy for selling me a dud. Do not but printers from Officeworks.

Everything is owned already by Krsna… the tools are used so you can meet him again in the eternal realm… he is the best dancer lover friend and everything.

Low on staff as I had a click collect order that required me to go to cashier. All good then and wasn't busy

Very happy with the excellent service I received today, Sunday afternoon. Asked Ajol to assist me buying a monitor, keyboard, mouse, cables and everything I need to work from home at affordable price. He got everything and explained what cable went where and why as I am not technical. Then two other nice staff at counter. Good young men doing great work. Thanks guys!

I call Officeworks for work everyday and find the staff especially George at Print and Copy to be very understanding and assisting. Thank you. Best Officeworks experience in Australia.

My local store for work. Very rarely do they not have stock of what I need. Staff are friendly and helpful in pointing you in the right direction of the product you are after.

Left waiting to get some help, staff became ignorant when approached again, maybe they just need more staff but give yourself plenty of time if you’re going in. Left without any information on item

The checkout operator had accepted my order 15 minutes before closing and once it was ready to be processed, the person doing the binding had “rejected” it supposedly due to the “workload being too much for her”. It appeared that she was quite inexperienced with what she was doing and somewhat rude to how she had dealt with the situation nor did she communicate that it wasn’t able to be done (which she could have as she was aware of our presence in the line and overhead us discussing binding options) - this clearly demonstrates poor management skills that negatively impact our customer experience with officeworks today. Now, I will think twice before coming back to this branch. I have always been coming to officeworks south melbourne since I moved close, thereby it was disappointing to see how the workers working had lack of training and poor customer service skills. Also, the guarantee that officeworks “opens early, close late” is also misleading as 6pm doesn’t cater to those with very demanding jobs.

I walked 40 mins to this store in the boiling heat to get some photos printed for Christmas. I get there and they tell me that their printer machines aren't working. The next day I tried the Elizabeth St store and I spend an hour trying to print and in the end the machines stop working. So please save your time and go some place else to print digital photos. Office works don't have the expertise nor professionalism to print digital photos. They don't even update their website nor place a sign.

20min wait in a queue to collect pictures, only to be told it will take another 10mins to print.
Terrible. Truly.

Update: took 1.5 hours to print 13 pictures.
The staff are lovely but they are clearly inundated.

Click & Collect customers, ignore the sign at the entrance and go to the checkout instead. Otherwise you will end up waiting FOREVER without anyone attending you! Today about a dozen customers went through checkout before someone finally, and reluctantly, fetched my order, like I was a nuisance! I’ll get stuff delivered if I ever order from Officeworks again.

Poor service.most of the staffs are inexperienced lack of basic knowledges work on adobe and other programs

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I have never experienced such BAD customer service before. I waited for half an hour and no one helped me. I kept asking for help and was told only 1 staff member could help in the iphones section. He saw me waiting for him for 30 minutes and completely ignored me. A line started to grow behind me, as we all watched him help a woman putting a paper tray in and out of a printer she was looking at, over and over again for 30 MINUTES. No acknowledgement of the line of people waiting. I ended up leaving and going elsewhere to buy a phone. I wish I could say this was my first bad experience at this store, the first couple of times I thought maybe just caught a bad staff member but now I know that no one in the entire store is helpful. If I were you I wouldn't bother going to this officeworks, unless you want to wait forever and then STILL not get help. All I wanted was to buy an iPhone. How are these people making any money if no staff member is willing to assist the customers? I wish that I didn't need assistance but to buy an iPhone they make you get assistance from a team member.

Requested a scan of a 'precious' genealogy scrapbook (79 pages, 18th Oct 2022). The job was not standard with odd sizes and it required items being taken out of plastic covers and replaced. It was done to perfection and at a reasonable price. Thank you to whoever did it, and to the helpful staff generally at South Melbourne.

Went here literally half an hour ago and got a price match of $131.75 on a phone (thank you Jack). It pretty much made this cheap enough for me to buy it.

We have always been visiting this particular officeworks in South Melbourne. It is one of the best Officeworks in the city and it is really big. Staffs are very polite and always ready to help and answer your queries. I would highly recommend.

There is a guy who works here called George. He went out of his way to help me. Wheeled a desk drawer cabinet to my car and loaded it in my boot in the rain. Don’t often see customer service like this. He is a real asset to Officeworks.
