Ocean Blue Coastal Retreats

We LOVED our stay at the Oar House in Metung. The house itself was well equiped, spotless and comfortable. We received great communication prior to check in, during our stay and after check it.
Particularly valued being able to order firewood and have it by the front door upon check in!
We have stayed at a few pet friendly placed and this was by far the most secure and well equiped (even spare towels for the dog!).
We will be back:)

The customer service is good overall. They are flexible and accomodating. However we stayed at villa Conti and would not recommend it for the reasons of
the compressor unit is so loud in the second unit! Making sleep impossible
- the hot water didn’t work in the second unit when two people were showering at the same time
- the dishwasher upstairs was an issue as we had to bring our dishes upstairs. It would be better for the dishwasher to be downstairs
- the coffee machines need an
Upgrade.
For the premium price we paid for this Thank you for listening to our concerns as well as the great customer service which I have always been impressed with with OCBR, in particular your flexibility with our expanding family as well as with the earlier check in, extra night and early check in.

Ah that is interesting about you not receiving feedback about the noise prior to this. I can assure you that it really was very noisy! And that we are not imagining it. It was an intermittently extremely loud sound! My aunty had a shock and jumped up and ran out as she thought something was coming crashing down. Then it kept occuringnsuch that as she was dozing off it kept happening! Poor thing- what a shame. My partner went to check the AC units outside and they looked very rusty and poorly maintained and were definitely making an excessive amount of noise. We had to choose between being warm or sleeping, not something we expected to be choosing Perhaps other guests have not bothered to reported it.

Alas we sadly won’t be able to return to stay with OCBR in the future given the situation above. It’s a shame as we would have been loyal long term customers as we have a getaway for my birthday each year. I don’t feel like our concerns have been taken seriously as it doesn’t sound like you believe us about the noise, but perhaps other customers will feel more confident to report this now that I’ve posted my review online.property, we expected better and were disappointed.

Honestly they make booking & leasing an absolute dream! You can tell from the friendlienss of their website how much they truly care about the guests experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Brilliant customer service from the team, and a brilliant property. What more can you ask for!

Wouldn't recommend the Portsea Hideaway. First off, the steep driveway is dangerous, from the photo you can see the huge pot hole in the center of it. Unfortunately, I landed in it and slipped a disc in my back.

Other things to mention -
• The kids room door needs a bolt lock. The kids managed to find the step ladder which was in the laundry on the floor and attempted to go out there. You say the porta cot isn’t safe, this was terrifying to see.
• The house is full of mosquitos to which you don’t even provide repellent, fly screens on windows would help here.
• The dog had more dog bags than human toilet paper, two rolls per bathroom.
• The outside tiles are dangerous, there’s many that are uneven/sticking out, plus get VERY hot.
• It says dog friendly, but there’s no grass area. Mentioned is the side courtyard a nice spot for pooches when out, it’s full of Huntsman’s.
• The pool cleaner arrived Friday morning without warning
• No basic condiments, you have to bring EVERYTHING (including additional toilet paper)

For over $3500 you can get MUCH better.

For Ocean Blue Coastal Retreats, no compensation whatsoever offered - brushed off. Not good enough. Do not recommend.

Great property. Loved the location and the quirkiness. Comfortable and team were responsive to questions. Huge master and terrific wood fire which is necessary as not a warm home despite multiple split systems but comfortable all the same. Kitchen had all we needed and great to have a full laundry. We didn’t have our dog this time but I would definitely return with him.

We loved our stay at Coco House. From the moment we walked in finding goodies on the table, music playing, the lighting and the fragrant air! Very comfortable, relaxing and clean …. Our little pooch loved it too!

Loved our stay at Cloud house, it was in a great spot in Arthurs seat and was quite and peaceful! The view was really lovely and close to wineries in red hill. I loved that our little pup could come and he enjoyed the balcony too. Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed at Big Blue Horizon @ Rye for 2 nights, The listing photos are misleading, the property is actually quite old and not very well maintained: the tap in bathroom is somehow broken and splitting water all around when turned on; the window opener in main bedroom is broken and we were almost unable to close it, tried to contact the host at 8pm and couldn’t reach; there are spider web at kitchen bench corner with a big spider on (closed to cooking tools), big spider webs on at least 3 living room window corners, storage spaces in kitchen and laundry are not clean, dust and dirt on window bench; some pot, pan and bowls are not clean, cleaner definitely have not cleaned the property properly and thoroughly, facilities are not well maintained to the standard; couldn’t find table knifes anywhere; the “air conditioner” is just a small portable cooler, overall it’s way under the expectation put up by the advertisement, cleanliness and service are below standard for the price paid.

The view is ok, overseeing some houses and small bit of ocean from the far, however we would not return to the place and rather spend time and money somewhere else for better cleaning and service standards.

We stayed at the Marbray in Sorrento. We really enjoyed the layout of the property which worked really well for our family trip. The dining table had plenty of space for board games, the lounges felt new and it was a nice quiet spot. There was absolutely no dog smell, despite it being pet friendly. There isn't a back yard - just a rear patio, so it's not secure for dogs, but that was clearly explained in the info prior to booking.

However the standard of cleaning in the property wasn't what we expected for the price. For example, there were gnats and wiggles on the bathroom floor when we turned up and dirt and insects kept blowing in under one of the skirting boards behind the dining table (very strange) - we had to keep sweeping up significant piles of dirt there. There was a piece of burnt black toast in the oven, so clearly the cleaners hadn't checked let alone cleaned the kitchen very thoroughly. We couldn't find oven mitts either. The toilet was continuously running, wasting a significant amount of water - this could distinctly be heard constantly from the dining table where we played board games.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we will stay somewhere else next time - whilst we were grateful that the place didn't smell like dogs and the layout worked for the trip, it just should have been more thoroughly cleaned for the price.

Great place - would be lovely in Summer - was a shame we were there during lock down though!

One tiny issue I should tell you about is that we think there is one of the billiard balls missing or at least we couldn’t find it!

Lovely place. The house has all the amenities. We received a welcome treat as well. Jacuzzi is the highlight of this property.

Coco House is a beautiful house to unwind and relax. The layout and the colours are calm and refreshing. As soon as you walk into the place it's relaxing. The backyard is also perfect to sit outside and relax and also great for your dog, there is plenty of room for them to run around.

My family and I stayed at Long View @ Red Hill to get ready for my wedding. The bedrooms all had double beds and the location was gorgeous for photos inside and out. There was also a great little room with amazing lighting for hair and make-up. Ocean Blue were really quick to respond to any emails or messages. Some more bins and mirrors in the bedrooms and bathrooms would have been very helpful.

February 2021. Great house, modern, clean, spacious and comfortable for the 8 of us. Pool was the highlight, fantastic. 5 minute walk to the beach. Used the fire pit one night and had S’mores.they were divine. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you Ocean Blue and Glen Mor.

Such a sneaky company - does not tell you the list of house “rules” until after you book and pay then when you request a refund they don’t refund you fully they keep the “fees”

Great accommodation - very comfortable, lots of options - inside/outside/covered outside areas. Great to have our 4 legged companions able to stay with us as well.
Nice quiet location, but easy access to all parts of the peninsula

I stayed at a house from Ocean Blue for two nights with seven friends and a dog. The house was well maintained and well equipped. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a washing machine and dryer, and a large bbq outside that we didn't use but it was available. The garden space and deck outside is gorgeous. The enclosed atrium area was where we hung out the most. It had a big table, sofas, and a TV. We enjoyed the gas fireplace too. There was a living room area with lots of comfortable seating as well. Perfect for big groups. It was close to shops and sightseeing as well. We all had a nice walk down to the beach. It was a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

Great contact with Sian throughout the whole process which made the experience so much better. This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature in very comfortable surroundings, we can't wait to go back!
