Went in to Occhio Fitzroy today for an eye test and to look at some specific glasses and options for Mountain bike riding. I had an exceptional experience. My eye test was extremely thorough and professional. The service afterwards and selection process covered all of my options and answered all my questions. Occhio offers a great selection of glasses with great knowledge and service.

Andrew and the Occhio team are fantastic. I have been getting my glasses from them for over 10 years now with over a dozen pairs. Optometrists are excellent and very thorough with regular eye tests. The range of glasses is superb as is the after care for adjustments, cleaning, repairs. Always something new and to tempt! I recommend the Lindberg and the new titanium and horn range is stunning. IC Berlin also a great option for every day wear. Masunaga or Roger Henley for something more funky. I can’t recommend Occhio more highly. Darrin

My Mallee Bull prescription riding glasses, after much use, had started to come apart at the arms. So I dropped into Occhio thinking only to find out which glue would be appropriate to effect a repair. Much to my surprise and delight Andrew replaced the frame, no questions asked, under warranty.

Again I had a great customer experience from eye testing to new prescription glasses. Occhio had a range of bold frames to the sophisticated ones to choose from. But I got my favourite convertible set. Definitely a place for a one stop shop with a friendly bunch of Occhio people.

Left my prescription glasses in the hire car in NZ. Spotted the glasses in an hour sign from the tram. Even though I don’t have enough time for prescription sunglasses a solution was found to have prescription glasses with matching magnetic Polaroid shades ready in 20 minutes. Very happy with the service, friendly and knowledgable staff. Would definitely recommend this practice.

I bought my first prescription glasses from Andrew when he had a business in exhibition at cbd in the 80’s
They served me well but it was time to get new ones. So I started searching for Andrew.fortunately I found him in Brunswick st Fitzroy.
Within half an hour I had new lenses installed in the frame I thought was fantastic and to my surprise it was Andrews own design.
In my opinion his Own designed glasses were superior to the European expensive glasses
Andrew has the style of caring service from a bygone era.so for those that want to re live that style of old world care and service I thoroughly recommend Occhio eye wear. And for those that are younger that have never experienced that type of service.well then pop over there.

Andrew and staffs are really helpful. Got my first Lindberg glasses and it fits perfectly. Their attitude and knowledge are top tier.

Excellent experience. I came in with a new prescription from a competing optometrist and Andrew was able to change over my lenses on the spot! Turns out the competing optometrist had gotten my right eye prescription wrong, so Paul retested me, fixed the prescription, then Andrew changed the lens over for me free of charge.

They are very knowledgeable and based on their opinion and explanation it is easy to make the right choice.
They try to accomodate customers preferences a d they try to get from the suppliers what you want.

GET YOUR PRESCRIPTION GLASSES MADE IN less than 24 HRS ONLY. NO LONG WAITS. Please Visit - Occhio Eyewear in Brunswick. I got mine in 10 mins? I was travelling to Melbourne from Auckland for a week's time and I forgot my glasses at home (auckland). Once I landed in Melbourne, I had to get on to finding who can make glasses in 24hours - and I found Andrew from Occhio, such a gentlemen and so approachable. We spoke via email, gave him my prescription, he had them in the store and I WAS LUCKY that I got my glasses the very same day. Thank you Andrew and then team working there. I waited 10 mins and I had my glasses all done and made up in my possession. I appreciate and value business owners like these. Now back in Auckland and will never forget this service all other commercial optometrist take a week's time to get the prescription glasses made. Sad.
