I had a really bad experience with the O'Brien autoglass repair service. I had a small chip in my windscreen so booked in with O'Brien and paid $175.20 over the phone for the repair. I was told it would be a 30 minute job and I could wait in the waiting room. When I arrived for the repair I was told it would be over 1 hour as they were busy. When they tried to repair my chip they cracked the windscreen meaning the whole wind shield would now need to be replaced for $1400. I was told to take my car home and call to rebook a new job to replace the windscreen. When I phoned to discuss this and ask that they cover the cost, I was told they do not cover the cost when they damage the glass and I would be liable for the full cost of a replacement. They said I would be refunded the amount paid for the chip and that I could leave a complaint if I wished. At now point in the process was I informed told that they may not be able to fix the chip or that if it was dammaged further/cracked that I would then have to cover the cost of a full replacement myself. I was not given any documentation to read or sign about this.

BEWARE!
After 11months I am still waiting on reimbursement for damages incurred by Obriens Glass due to faulty workmanship. After countless emails management have yet to reply.
I have attended there premises twice and they have accepted the damages but are yet to rectify the issue.

Very very disappointed to say the least. Never again will I risk taking my vehicle to Obriens Glass.

A balls up from the start Doing up an old car - asked them to put in and supply front screen and had rear screen and rubber to go in as well. Booked in to home visit, installer catches Covid, can't come, fair enough. Rebooked for 2 wks later, confirmed day before car would be coming in tomorrow for install. No, car is motor less, need home visit - sorry no one is available need to rebook. Long story short- $1000 later have a car, a windscreen and a windscreen rubber all that needs to be done is an install. Sorry we can't do it, booked solid for 3 months, try somewhere else. USELESS Not Happy Jan.

Dropped in to get quote at the Braeside, Victoria branch. They said they were really busy and might be able to fit it in the the next couple of weeks. They never got back to us. The boss rang and was put through to call centre, waited 5 minutes and gave up. I then rang an independent and got a price within a couple of minutes. The independent was able to book it in the next day.

Totally unacceptable workmanship. Broke trim outside of windscreen and on the inside on a new car. Now we have wasted our time and money getting there and need to do it all over again. Who knows when they will hey around to booking us in. You need to at your employees

Got the appointment to replace car windscreen through AAMI, and wait 3 weeks, closed my business on that as my wife didn’t have vehicle to get the kids. Can you believe these guys didn’t show up at all, waited at home almost 5 hours, and even longer expecting them to come late, not even a text message. Just lost a day’s income due to this unprofessional dudes. Why AAMI you take our money and giving this horrible experience with terrible people

Windscreen was installed well but took much longer than advised. Car was scratched accidentally but they agreed to rectify it.

Quality of workmanship is excellent, but the wait on the phone, and the lack of communication is very poor. They tell us that our time is important. They need to live it! Never again.

We waited 2 weeks for a booking to replace our windscreen glass on a work vehicle, on the day of the appointment we were 30 minutes late due to having a flat tyre, when we arrived we were told due to being 30 minutes late we couldn't have the replacement done and we would have to wait almost another 2 weeks for a booking. We appreciate the importance of being on time in order to run a business effectively, but this was an unforeseen circumstance and something that was out of our control. We cancelled our appointment and booked in with another company who were able to fit us in in the next day. I escalated this to head office and am waiting for a call back.

Friendly and professional staff.
Work was carried out in a timely manner and the finished result was perfect.
The cost was reasonable and fairly standard for a windscreen replacement.

They were told to make sure the e-tag was reattached. They didn't and the wipers were not realigned. Poor effort

Disgusting workmanship and customer service.
Trim has been left hanging off, looks like a child has been finger painting on the cream trim and cloth headliner with Black silicone.
I have been trying to get them to fix it for over a month now. I think I'm up to 6 phone calls, the branch is impossible to contact, even the call centre struggles to contact the Braeside branch. Finally had a booking for 4pm this afternoon, it's currently 6: 30pm and they haven't even called, let alone turned up to the appointment.
It's become obvious they have no care for the customer and just use insurance companies 'free windscreen replacement' as a cash grab.
