oapl Rowville (Head Office) reviews
9I bought an ankle brace on Monday thinking that I would get within the week but nothing. So I rang on Thursday to be told there was none in the warehouse. I was disappointed that I was not notified of that. Then I was informed that Adelaide had them and I live in Victoria. So they put a request to get one posted by express Mail. I received a phone asking for my address and the guy had number 30 given to him instead of 38. Something really needs to be done when there is no stock in. Like notifing the customer would be a start.
I rolled my ankle badly about 3 weeks back - ended up with a avulsion fracture of the ankle. Although I am wearing a moon boot during the day, I wanted something a bit lighter for night (sleeping). I looked around, and found the OAPL Night Splint ($40 which included delivery by courier door to door). Before ordering, I emailed the the Clayton office, just checking on stock, and asked if it can be sent out as soon as I ordered - YES to both questions. Liana was the person I was dealing with - VERY quick with her reply, and very helpful. Anyway, I ordered, and the next day it was delivered! - Quick easy service! - and this splint boot is much easier to sleep with! Thank you Liana, thank you OAPL.
Pretty frustrated to pay a 75$ fee to buy a moon boot that cost 85$ in their shop. Just testing what size I need shouldn't come with a fee or do people get charged when they go shoe shopping nowadays?
Thank you, we appreciate your assistance and continued monitoring of Ms Carla. Our visit was for my little one, who had a flathead on the right side. Our specialist was so patients and informative. We got the result gradually following her advice.
The helmet was so beautiful that kids at day were so attracted; thanks for the lovely design and continues alterations.
Finally, the lockdown wasn't easy, but you made it look simple and flexible working on my calendar.
Parking was convenient at Clayton.
Thanks once again and from Amaira.

Poor service for pensioners who don’t use online shopping. Even harder to return the wrong product that the helpful receptionist thought we needed. Unfortunately she did not listen to our needs
Following a rather unpleasant roller-coaster ride with sales representatives, I eventually received a fair resolution after speaking to the National Customer Services Manager Helen who acknowledged accountability for issues previously raised and subsequently offered a fair resolution.
Horrible and rude! Went there not knowing that they are not open for retail. I was told my little girl who was innocently waiting in the showroom not supposed to be there and it wasn’t a play area. What the fxxxx? Should I leave my three year old in the car? Never buy anything from them. There are plenty of places out there with good customer service in the world!
I was forced to purchase a California E C O spinal brace from OPAL by a Mr T Han while in Saint Vincent's Private hospital. The brace aggravated my L3/4 lumber region and as advised I took the brace to their Ringwood East office where the orthopedic specialist adjusted the brace by putting it across her leg/knee and bent metal back of the brace. It did not stop there, then she forcefully pulled on the sides of the brace cracking the plastic/polycarbonate wings at the bottom of the brace near the retaining rivets. It was a disappointing to see the brace adjusted in this manner.
A few days later at the doctors the nurse was taking my vitals and commented about low oxygen levels in my blood. She looked at the brace and asked me to remove it and breath normally before repeating the test. The second test was normal and after a short inspection she said the brace was restricting my diaphragm causing the low oxygen symptom.
From my experience, avoid this product and especially avoid the Ringwood East office.
It is evident reading the reviews that I am not the only person to be treated with contempt by OAPL. Today I received a response from from the office secretary with false information explaining bending the device is a common practice detailed in the instructions in the box. My brace did not come in a box or with instructions!
Next it stated that OAPL had reached out to me on multiple occasions so I have check my incoming missed calls with Optus verifying that I had one missed call from a private number at 1: 19 PM yesterday.
Just got off the phone after an interesting talk with a wise and appropriate person who was helpful. I forwarded the pictures of the crack/break in the brace's plastic side for her to deal with appropriately. They did offer to try and help!
Unfortunately I rejected this offer because I have purchased a brace that meets all my back injury requirements from another supplier.
I was taught that you should always try to finish on a positive note.
The representative I spoke to did try to help and I appreciated that.
