Overly pushy saleswoman selling average produce at extreme prices. Biltong was dehydrated sinew priced at $160/kg. The prosciutto was salty and wet, yet the saleswoman promised me "the best prosciutto you can buy". Yeah right.

Was recommended by a friend and everything he said about the meats was true. I will definitely be going back.

A wonderful selection of in house and locally sourced small goods including terrine’s, pates, and everything else you could wish for including some great dry aged beef.
Can’t wait to drive back here with an eskie to fill up.

Simply the best. The owner is a down-to-earth person, hard-working, really caring about his customers and extremely passionate about the the quality of his products. Try yourself in his shop or at Farmers Markets.

The smell of smoked smallgoods greets you as you enter, I was ready to move in in fact I was in heaven The staff were very knowledgeable the food was incredible I will be back its only an hour or so away from home

Discovered this place by accident and I'm glad I did, their products are amazing, up there with European quality, I'll be going there a lot more.

Frightfully expensive and poor quality. Salami was full of sinew and gristle/cartilage pieces large enough to break a tooth on. At that price far more care is expected. Sausages were full of gristle/cartilage pieces also and contained far too much fat. Weisswurst were awful and not remotely traditional. This company's produce should be avoided.

Visited Oakwood deli last Saturday, was impressed by excellent customer service and their ham and wavy roast beef was the best I have ever tasted. Will be going up again and purchasing more.

Fantastic cured meats and traditional small goods! This place is amazing. Try the weisswurst and pork ribs in particular. The Zucchini relish they sell is top notch also. Great with their jambon blanc! Make sure you pick up some free range streaky bacon too! A must visit when in Castlemaine.

Bought some wonderful smoked goods for a picnic on the Maldon Steam train then came back for more. The black pudding is particularly good.

What can I say when in Castlemaine avoid Oakwood Smallgoods.
Unless you want to be humiliated by standing in line for an eternity and then to be line jumped by some boguns that can't tell the difference between bacon and ham all the while as the shop assistant is looking down her noise at you.
I was prepared to pay top dollar for some good looking produce, but to be treated like I wasn't there by a glorified check out attendant, I can get that at Cole's for a quarter of the price.
Oh yeah, did I mention the fact that the place had fly's hanging around inside the shop and it was winter time. What's with that?

Great small goods, those of us who appreciate good food, this business would be hard pass by without buying bacon, or sausage. They also have an school where they teach cooks their small goods trade.

Fabulous! If you're looking for traditional European smoked goods then this is the place to go to. Debreziner and sausages were amazing.

What a disappointment this place was. Flies and wasps buzzing around inside the shop and direct sunlight beating down on the smallgoods inside the display cabinet via the nearby window. Had to laugh at the beach umbrella inside the shop. Might pay if they put a blind on the window. Didn't consider buying anything from here due to the aforementioned problems.

Currently enjoying some of the tasty food we purchased today. The wagyu brisket one of my personal favourites! Brilliant tastings and service at Oakwood Meats! Highly recommended

Great place! The ham, salami and Kabana we tried were fantastic. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and happy to let us sample things.
