My first visit to Oakleigh Family Medical Centre, the reception staff were amazing, friendly and booked my appointment with Dr Shadfar who was also the best the doctor I have seen in many years. I think I've found my new family doctor for the next 20 years. I will be back and would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone new to the Oakleigh area. Thank you Dr Shadfar and the rest of the staff for a positive experience in the medical industry.

The reception staff here are the friendliest medical receptionist I have come across. The doctors are great too.

Doctor boriana and doctor shadfar has been a really good doctor for my family for almost 6 years. But one time I saw doctor yoga and she's a complete opposite.

Tried to charge me $50 to transfer my records to another clinic. Should just be something that gets done without charge, and even if one were to charge it should at most be to recoup costs m it doesn't cost $50 or even close. Definitely don't have their patients actual interests at heart, just their pockets unfortunately.
Reminds me of the kind of treatment you might get at Woolamai Pizza, where they straight up insult their customers. Disgusting.

The Oakleigh Family Medical Centre has an efficient appointment booking system and in my experience, appointments run on time. My family doctor is Dr Feiber and he has been looking after my health for many years. In addition to accessing day to day health care, I was able to have all my Covid vaccinations done at the Centre.

Time in seeing the doctor was reasonably good, the doctor was friendly and listened attentively and was thorough in her examination and provided follow up tests

Dr Yoga has been one of the best GPs I have encountered in my lifetime. She provided me with the care & attention (with her practice nurse) during a period where I had some serious health issues to deal with over the past few years.

Not children friendly. I had appointment for my child today and they kept me waiting for an hour without any notice. When enquired about the doctor, the said i was the next but never called. Disappointed.

Can never get an appointment or even get general information as the doctors are always on holidays, the two times seeing a doctor he made me drop my pants Infront of his table insisting I was lying about my medical condition and then apologised as he had mis diagnosed my information I gave him

Dr Fiber is absolutely fabulous. He’s a wonderful doctor that has been seeing family members for 30+ years. Always a pleasure for a chat.

Went in for my booster shot. Found it easy to book a time, got confirmation quickly and the shot was done really well.

My experience with Dr. Yoga was awful. It did sound a bit iffy when the receptionist told me Dr. Yoga was available to see me the same afternoon are called. Good doctors are typically booked out for the day. Turns out there is merit to my theory. I suspect Dr. Yoga has little repeat patients and preys on new patients that attend once and never again.

The doctor was rude from the very start. Eager to speak over the patient. When inspecting my mouth, she shoved two fingers inside carelessly and pushed everywhere so hard my head jerked with her movements. She would ask me a question and keep her two fingers inside my mouth. I had to tell her to remove them so I could answer.

The worst part was… at one point she started shoving away the top of my hijab so hard my head jerked back. I was shocked… so I pulled back further and asked her what she was trying to do… she said she is trying to access my “mandible”. I’ve studied healthcare so I knew she meant jaw… but other patients would not have known it. Especially when she was pulling away at the top of the hijab! I initially thought she was trying to access some part of my forehead! I have never met a doctor so disgustingly rude and dismissive of someone else’s bodily autonomy. How can you manhandle a patient?

In the end, I couldn’t escape fast enough. I walked in with a pain level of 3 maybe… left at a 7 or 8 from her terrible fingers.

I’m concerned because most other reviews about her are not positive. So I’ve sent an email, because patients are vulnerable, and no one should ever… ever go through that. That woman needs retraining. From scratch.
