Nyonya House reviews
69Terrible service ,terrible food i dont know what do they put in their food expired coconut cream or whatever, make u feel sick and disgust, all night long hurt the stomach so bad ,and u know the word for it dont wanna say out loud boys
Their Malaysian food is OK. Tried the haianese chicken rice, not very authentic chicken rice, but taste ok. The fried tofo is using Chinese silky tofo, not Japanese egg tofo. The seafood with fried noodles taste ok. Teh tarik taste ok, not very sweet. Overall portion consider huge. Price is on average. Restaurant is in new location, and quite big, there are few big tables. Staff are friendly. Plenty of parking nearby and it is within walking distance from train station.
The food was not bad. Ordered curry puff, Pepper Udon Noodle, Curried Fried Rice, Waffle, Ice Blended Lychee drink, all were good. But they charged 50 cents for each container to take away the left over food.
We used to frequent Nonya House at SL before they changed location. SL location was warm and inviting. The Laverton location is nice with a casual ambience. Food is still amazing.
Nice Malaysian offerings.
The food was fresh and fast.
The only issue was that it lacked a bit of spice and heat.
I found the service here to be extremely rude, especially around money (i.e, insisting payment upfront before you eat, charging 50c plus a credit card surcharge for takeaway containers - and again insisting payment upfront before providing one). Given its pushy and stingy approach to customer service, I would not encourage anyone to patronise this business.
Used to be good when they were at SL shopping centre.
Struggling to find anything good to say about them now:/
overly greasy food, no service, uncomfortable bench style seating, etc.
This is a gem of a restaurant. Friendly staff. Quick service. Beautiful food. It’s our local Malaysian go to.
The best roti rolls in the west! So happy you're closer after leaving SLSC and conveniently located across from Aircraft! I think you're roti rolls taste even better now! ️️️
Had some amazing vegetarian dishes today and absolutely loved the flavour and spices. Must try the Nyonya Fried Vermicelli, Kuih Kak and Stirfry Long Beans!
We came for dinner and order foods for 4 items but the foods come only 2 items waiting very long and the waitress never repeat what we had complete everythings or not! I never complain before but my son was so hungry! Very disappointed!
Clean and complete service. It's very delicious. It's really delicious.
I ate it all, so I couldn't take a picture
I love you Nyonya House. I loved you in Sanctuary Lakes. And I love you even more at your new location. Best Tom Yum Soup and Samosas! X
I ordered Nasi Goreng Nyonya and that was bomb! Cant wait to go here again!
I went there during the busy hour but I didnt have to wait for a very long time for the food.
Family friendly, as they have high chair for young kids. Highly recommended!
My favourite place but it wasn't a good experience on Saturday. 1st: the male and female waitstaff did not acknowledge us, the male staff, saw us and walked away (we know you are busy but at least welcome us. The female staff was busy talking to a customer (getting reviews about the food and services, but she ignored us too) 2nd: We ordered Nasi Lemak fried chicken and waited for 20min (we are ok to wait) but the chicken was tasteless and the sambal was ok ok k (a bit sour). 3rd: we ordered Dry wanton noodles with wanton (wanton tasteless too). Char hor fun and our favourite Rootbeer Float was the best. We are glad that our regular wait staff (elderly female wait staff) was able to serve us with her smile and we believe she still recognises us.
Moving location allow easier access compared to when located in santuary lakes in my opinion. Still kept good quality food no msg and boss lady is friendly. Would definitely come back for more.
Had nasi lemak curry chicken and the beef char koay teow takeaway. Just perfect and so satisfying!? Ooops forgot the photo, couldn't wait to dig in!
Julianna was so lovely, she gave wonderful recommendations on what food to order. So yummy, thank you
Ordered a Roti Roll and the curry chicken was lukewarm and seemed stale, probably not cooked today. Also the EFTPOS surcharge seems unnecessary and bit of a money grab. Just my 2 cents or should I say 2.03 cents with the 1.5% surcharge:)
Had many dishes here over time, all of which were subpar. Had the chicken rice recently for the second time, thinking it would be better than the first. There is no flavour at all, not in the rice, soup (which tasted like water), and even somehow the chicken. Very disappointing. Will not be ordering here again.
