Number One Restaurant - RACV Torquay Resort reviews
27We had a dinner reservation for 6: 30 pm on Saturday.the man who was serving us our food was absolutely lovely and had great energy. 5/5 service. Also got seated near the window where the view was gorgeous. Everything tasted amazing. Thank you guys! Would definitely come back here again.
Great looking place looked stylish and went to a wedding on the 25.11.23.
Was disappointed in the service as they forced chicken meal on me even though I requested the beef. The female tables supervisor just wasn't even prepared to hear about my allergy.
Only disappointment to an otherwise great night
It is always a really nice relaxed experience at the breakfast buffet. The staff do an amazing job and work hard to ensure everything runs smoothly - which it always does.
We love to come here once every now and then as a treat even though we live in town.
The quality of food is amazing and the attention given to us was kind - it’s a great testament to all the food and Bev staff here they are always pleasant in what I’m sure can be a very difficult job.
From the Barge family - thank you!:)
Absolutely beautiful restaurant to dine. Intimate (just what we were hoping for), excellent service, amazing food. Would choose again if ever back down this way
Buffet breakfast was fabulous.dinner prawn risotto was delicious but the rest was alittle disapointing. Warm Olives should be in olive oil dip, so you can dip bread & pipless. Crab slider was shameful thrown on a bed of shredded lettuce in bun which was not the standard I expect from an exclusive 5 star hotel, should've been in a soft taco shell with something that compliments seafood. Buns & lettuce are from burgers. I will eat at Hardings lounge next time.
We had the chicken on buckwheat risotto and barramundi and both dishes were excellent. Super fresh and tasty. Staff were also very good.
Prawn risotto, beef brisket in the small
Plates menu, AMAZING!
Service was great!
Wish the lights were dimmer to create more of a vibe, felt a little conference like.
Started off badly when they could not find our booking but this was quickly resolved by the young man on the front desk.
Service was a bit slow but did improve as the night progressed.
The food was sensational, the Coffin Bay oysters were the best oysters I have eaten in years.
Overall a great meal & due to the quality of the food I think it is good value.
Honestly, very expensive and quite small portions. Had a main and dessert and was still hungry because the serves where tiny. Good flavour and decent service but way over priced.
Solid offerings in a resort setting on a golf course.
Had the lamb cheek - excellently done!
The most amazing service. I came here with my two month old baby for a special occasion dinner. The restaurant was sufficiently quiet to allow my baby to sleep through the meal and there was lots of room to push the pram around. The waitress made sure we had a table with ample room for the pram. Food of course was delicious but that doesn't need saying. We had the porterhouse steak cooked to medium rare perfection and the barramundi with crispy skin. Wish I had room for dessert. Oh well, I'll just have to come back:)
We done a booking for 13 people when we rung to made the booking they said that we couldn't choose from the normal menu that they will provide us with a menu from the cheff and we select from that only because we were a large number. When we arrived and we sit the menu was in front of each person and at the bottom of the menu said 2 course meal $75 or 3 course meal$90, on our group 2 vegeterian so for 5 vegie and dessert$75 each, my husband had entree and dessert $75. I think that is very wrong that you can no choose what you want to eat just because we were a large number and set price; they should let you know when do the booking was done. Very dessappointed.
Over priced pub grub. We live in Torquay
and haven't been there for 2 years and now will never go back.
The Manager Sonny was extremely rude, he has no respect for potential customers, left a bad taste for us to not even go there! Since Monday we tried booking a table for 20 people and it is now Thursday and still no booking/confirmation OR even a follow up. His phone manner was VERY sassy and couldn't careless about why we were so annoyed, he just wanted our phone number so he could hang up and deal with it later or palm us off to someone else. Customer service from him was shocking. However we spoke to Chris and he was lovely and apologetic on behalf of the incompetence from Sonny.cant wait for our booking at beach hotel in torquay. Which btw took 1 phone call and 1minhte on the phone.
Thank you for a really delicious meal and great service from bringing us in to the restaurant and from our very obliging and friendly waitress Allie. Thank you for a lovely meal and evening. Cathy
Five stars are for dinner here! The food is INCREDIBLE, the restaurant is spacious and cosy enough to allow a relaxed dinner where you don't have to shout to be heard. Only warning is do not have breakfast here. It is very very average.
Our waiter was great each and every evening with lovely well presented food, however a somewhat limited menu.
The breakfast was shockingly bad! Like how can you get the eggs done SO BAD! And took 2 hours to finally have food!
Great place for lunch or just a coffee or reading the paper in the lovely lounge area looking out to the sea and watching people play golf
Great venue and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I'm vegan and my mother is vegetarian and we both got our own menu which is a great touch. The only thing I would improve would be the vegan desserts which were just sorbet and granita. Very nice to have the option though and I would go back
