I wish I had read these reviews before I paid $2200 to hire this venue for a birthday function. The building was very old, and unsafe and can see years of neglect on maintenance.

The owner “Mailk” Simple description is, he is like your dead grandpa. Always comes to the venue and put his nose on everything while wearing cheap clothes (like a homeless man). No respect to Guests, Vibes or any ethics, He walks around Guests and makes sure to whinge on anything to make you feel uncomfortable.

We are the Sri Lankans who hire his venue the most; but he doesn’t have any respect for us. I felt that he hates to rent out the venue for Sri Lankans for some reason. Overall experience is very poor, he has made sure to give plenty of grief to our decorators and Music band. NEVER recommend this venue to anyone.

Terrible venue. The owner needs to learn that good service is the most important aspect of running a successful business.
The condition of the toilets are absurd and need to be renovated or looked after at the very least.
Malik (the owner) was very rude and treated the guests/hosts with pure disrespect. Seems like all he wanted to do by the end of the event was have everybody out of the venue and lock up.
(He ended up shutting the doors + gates and turned the lights off to make everyone leave the vicinity)
He locked up and ended up leaving before the hired crew concluded their bump out/pack up and rushed them to take all the equipment out of the venue so that he could leave.
Would NEVER recommend anybody to visit/host an event here.

The businesses disregard to residents is very disappointing and inconsiderate. It’s currently a Monday evening, 11: 15pm and there are loud, rowdy guests spilling onto the street keeping residents awake.
This is unfortunately ongoing.
Unprofessional & disrespectful!

Arranged my parents 50th wedding anniversary at this venue. Perfect location and atmosphere. The manager of the venue Maliq was extremely accommodating and helped ensure the night was stress free and memorable. Can't thank him enough.

Where does one begin with this place. As soon as I entered I needed to go to the toilet. These were in the Worst condition I've ever seen for toilets.reminiscent of a toilet block in the middle of a shopping centre car park, the car park toilets might actually be better maintained. I realised none of the stalls had any toilet paper. First thing any establishment should do before a big reception is make sure there is paper in the toilets.
Went out to the girl behind the bar and she looked at me bewildered. I don't think she spoke any English so I waved my hands, gesturing the international sign of wiping ones arse. Finally she understood and pinched a large industrial roll toilet paper from the ladies loo! This could be used to finely polish your next carpentry project.
We sat down at the table. All old rickety furniture, very uncomfortable, hard and about to fall apart. I noticed the jugs of lemonade on the table and a basket full of sliced bread.wondered exactly how long this had all been left out there. Took a sip of flat warm coke and spat it back in the cup before promptly killing a silverfish with said cup that was migrating across the table. Went to eat a slice of bread, yep hard as croutons.no thank you!
Two attendants serving a crowd of 100. So obviously very understaffed. I could see the stress on their faces and felt bad for them. I decided after forcing down my meal to go and sit in the car.a much more comfortable environment. The Manager or owner drove out halfway through the night to get two cartons of beer as I guess they were ill prepared.
Standing at the bar devoid of anything other than 100 half empty no name bottles of lemonade strewn across the floor under the back bench and many half empty jugs of lemonade on the bench above. We were wondering where the bartender was. She was probably out back trying to get the meals out to the tables which took a very long time.
No bar service for 15 mins so people just went behind the bar and grabbed a bottle of wine from the century old fridge.nothing much else to drink other than tap water. I found out later that they have no bar service and bring everything to the table. This is weird as the bar is very large and the first thing you see when walking into the building.

I am now sitting in my car waiting for my family to get through the rest of what is a pretty disappointing night.

BTW, good luck getting a car park.there is nothing on site only very limited street parking. Everyone had to walk from 300 meters away at the shopping centre. $95 each? Wow!
Won’t be back ever.

Are you kidding this would have to be the worst and dirtiest place I have ever been to. The bar was unattended most of the time. There were half empty no name soft drinks bottles strewn all over the floor which had been put on the table so we're warm and flat. The water was from the water out of the ordinary tap in the bar so room temperature. The bar itself was really dirty. The white wine provided was very very cheap. When we sat down a silverfish walked over the tablecloth and the bread that was left out with no covering was dry and hard by the time we started the meal. There was no knives to spread the butter anyway.
The sweets OMG due to dietary if had the fruit salad it was out of a tin the pears and peaches in squares and they threw in one strawberry and a microscopic piece of fig. Everybody else just got some sort of cake with absolutely nothing else with it, no couli, or cream etc and had been sitting so long the outside was hard and dry. We all ate what we could anyway as so hungry. The dj was good I just cannot imagine if anyone had their wedding there how disappointed you would be be.
