NRMA Portland Bay Holiday Park reviews
76 I've camped here twice and stayed in cabins once. I've already rebooked my site for 2024/25.
This caravan park is the most wholesome family experience you will ever get. Gavin and Dee put their heart and soul into this park and that is exactly what you receive when you stay here.
I'm rebooking my site every year until they tell me I can't.
Wonderful friendly owners and staff, consistently went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. Abundant amenities serviced twice daily.
Grassy sites make for a far less sandy camping experience. We've stayed twice and enjoyed our trip.
What a lovely place to stay, friendly park operators, so helpful, beautiful views, clean amenities, highly recommend.
Campsite located in the center of Portland, on the coast just after the hospital. Ideally placed for going shopping or walking on the beach in the evening. We chose a location with private bathrooms and it was great. The welcome was very pleasant with very good advice. Perfect for one night.
Nice clean park close to town people who run park are most helpful. Would stay here again site we are in 33A very secluded
Would give 5 stars if they could have changed the weather. But hey it is the winter solstice.
A great place for our overnight stay in the van, staff were excellent organising a site without a booking.
Thank for the amazing stay. Dee and her crew put on an amazing variety of things in the park for guests. I had freshly baked scones with jam and cream, yesterday was pancakes.
We had a caravan site. It was a dry site this time of year.
Well from the moment we arrived we felt like we were with friends. We hadn't per booked but that wasn't a problem. The staff were awesome and the location is even better. It is also pet friendly. The amenities are CLEAN AND TIDY they have a great camp kitchen and fire place area. DEFINITELY A PLACE TO STAY. Make sure you use your discount card if you have one makes it even better value.
Great caravan park, close to town. Fabulous position with loverly walks and views. Clean amenities. Friendly cheerful staff.
The best shower I’ve ever had at a holiday park! Hands down the best park we’ve been to on our trip!
A really great park in beautiful location close to beach, boat ramp and town, the caretakers here go above and beyond to make your stay great always roaming the park having a friendly chat and helping anyway they can, new amenities block and gates to the lighthouse walk and outside playgrounds easy stair access to beach close by you really couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Live music during holidays is fantastic also highly recommend
Beautiful setting with a great atmosphere, live music and fantastic host's who go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, definitely coming back!
This is one of the nicest Caravan Park I’ve ever stayed in. Staff were lovely, the showers and toilets clean. The showers have glass doors so your clothes don’t get wet. Koalas in the trees. Walking distance to town. We will be back.
Highly recommend arrived and Gavin checked us in with no issues. When setting up found our jockeys wheel had been damaged and we might have been looking at heading back home and cancelling the rest of our trip, Gavin helped us get the jockey working.
Great facilities hot showers great water pressure all clean, close to beach. Will be back - with new jockey wheel
This is such a well managed park. The owners are really involved and are an absolute asset to the feel and overall management of the park. Despite some idiot making themselves at home in our site when we arrived, the owners made sure this was sorted out within an hour! We will definitely return, we had a lovely stay and even saw wild Koala's roaming around. Thanks
A fantastic place with awesome staff
Accommodation is fantastic!

Didn’t want to leave! Such a gorgeous position on the cliffs overlooking the port - the cabin was wonderful and the single beds instead of bunks were perfect in the second bedroom. Sitting on the balcony watching the working port and the ships at anchor was lovely whilst having a cuppa.
A great park, the only place to stay in Portland. Nice grassy sites, superb location, lovely amenities, and of course local koalas. The hosts, Dee and Gavin are the real gems here though. If you are lucky enough to be there on a live music happy hour night you’ll know why. These are the evenings that you wish for when planning a trip. We’ll Done guys and thanks for the memories. Cheers
A beautiful spot. Really clean amenities and tidy grounds. The owners were friendly and happy to have a chat. The park is not far from the town center and the lighthouse is easily accessible from the front of the property. Even has its own Koalas in residence
Great location but toilets to far to walk to. Had three blocks not open with a park full of tourists. Not happy.
