Nortons Park reviews
39Nice park for a walk or bbq picnic. Good for dogs off leash with plenty of room and nice walking trails
This has to be one of my favourite parks. Holds really nice memories for me. The walks are pleasant and perfect for walking the dog. I'm glad to have found this place and highly recommend checking it out.
A beautiful place where you can practice your sport, such as walking, riding a bike, or fishing from the lake, which is varied because of its large area.
Nice place for a stroll with our without your dog.
Unfortunately, watch out for people who let their dogs off leash even in the leashed areas.
Great multi purpose park (feels like the bush as the access road is gravel), with plenty of free parking. Great views, nice variety of trees etc, well maintained grassed areas, picnic benches/tables & BBQs, water points for dogs, dog agility areas and toilet blocks
The park has a dog activity area. Beautiful, this park all the way connected to Napier park, Glen Waverley Golf Course, and Jells Park.
A popular exercise park for people and dogs. There was sufficient parking when I was there after 4pm on Sunday.
The park could do with more park benches and table-bench seats. You could also bring your own tables and chairs and rugs for a picnic as there is ample space on the ground under huge old trees.
Toilet needs some work but at least there is a toilet. The BBQ area was closed off when I was there.
There are walking trails that lead to Jells Park according to the map but upon investigation looked like a narrow natural trail through a forest - I would only do this in company of others or my dog - it looked rather deserted and I didn't feel safe attempting this on my own.
There is a dog activity area with signs pointing to it. There were also barriers that look like challenges for dogs. There were doggie water bowls at the water fountains.
Norton's Park, is a truly amazing place. A haven for dog and nature lovers. Amidst the expansive and well maintained property, one gets to meet some lovely people and such a variety of well-behaved dogs. Wonderful place to go for long leisurely walks and let you dog run free. The place is also ideal for a picnic with friends and family.
This is our dog's favourite place, after the sofa. Huge opportunities to sniff, walk, run and play for our four legged friends. Native bushland and if you are lucky native fauna too.
This a fantastic park for dogs on lead and off lead, so many paths to explore! My dog and l absolutely love it, as do the rest of the community that use it.
The only negative thing is there's no poo bins.it would be great if there was one in the car park and you could dispose of it before you leave.instead of taking it home with you
Beautiful park and lovely surroundings. Plenty of different paths to walk along and so many dogs along the way.
Awesome park! People are often friendly and dogs are off leash. Connects to other trails also. Make sure your dog is trained to not run away because it is not fenced. Please keep a eye out for creeps though, as police had to be called on a man in a white Mitsubishi slowly driving around the car park for over 2 hours. He was acting very suspicious and appeared as if he waiting for the park to become empty to make his move on me. I was almost alone when I had to call police because I did not want to walk to my car alone. So please be mindful of suspicious activity around that park, and call authorities if you feel uncomfortable.
Great open area, with dedicated dog off-lead area, with water fountains.
2 drawbacks are that when it is wet there are some really muddy areas, plus there are absolutely no bins, so you have to take your dog poo with you.
Nice surrounds, plenty of places to run around and have fun. Only downside is there are no bins and need to take the dog pop home with you
Great outdoor place to bring the dog and the kids. Lots of walking tracks near the water which are connected to other parks such as Jells Park. No rubbish bins around.
Went there for a BBQ. All fenced off and out of action. Wasted our time, then had to go elsewhere.
Good for biking and trail walking, pet friendly. Lack of canopy cover so hot summer days with high temperature is not the time to walk but better in early morning or late evening
Beautiful park with many hidden gems and locations. People there are nice and very dog friendly. Recommend for dogs, children, teens and adults who want a nice walk.
Good for relaxing and it's nice to see Monash city.
Need to buy coffee from somewhere else before visiting.
Love this place. Plenty of space to either sit on the grass or go for a walk. Lots of friendly dogs enjoying the freedom
