Northern Window Shutters - Roller Shutters Melbourne

Up tickg to 4.5 rating. Had 15 windows done over the past 12 months. I did have some issues with squeaking noises quite audible on 3 blinds and it took about 6 months to resolve. You need to be patient and I was and Laz came thru in the end. Especially a tricky issue. Prices very competitive and reliable friendly team of installers. Love the remote control with express up and down function. I feel more secure now. House still gets hot because lots of heat does come thru roof. But will help prevent fading of furniture carpet etc as I have floor to ceiling windows facing hot sun. Great 10 year warranty too brings peace of mind. Highly recommend AAA+.

These guys are the best and couldn’t recommend them any higher. We had a slight issue with our shutters (our fault) and they came out and fixed it for no charge. They love the community they work for. High quality stuff and workmanship and friendly.

Jan 2023,4 stars. Once again Laz was great to deal with when 2 of my roller shutters (over 20 years old and purchased from a different company), needed new winches. His price was reasonable, the timelines in which the job was done was excellent. My only concern was the lack of cleaning, walls, carpet, where drill dust had fallen and the screw I found in the carpet afterwards, following the winch replacement. I would still recommend and use Northern Shutters, I would just make sure the clean up was done properly prior the the installer leaving.

2017: -5 stars Laz and the team were professional and did a fantastic job of mum's roller shutters. From the competitive quote, the timeline for installing, and the respectful and courteous behaviour from all involved on installation day (including the electricians), and when there was a minor issue (due to builders inaccuracies), Northern roller shutters were quick to alter one shutter and ensure everything was working as it should be. I would highly recommend these guys, and would not hesitate to use them.

The last honest roller shutter business left in Melbourne… from Laz to the installer to the electrician, everyone was respectful and polite. Pricing is VERY fair and the quality of the work is great. Everyone cleaned up after themselves nicely. The roller shutters have kept out the heat and blocked out the sound - best night sleep we’ve had in a long time! Thankyou again, we can’t recommend your business enough!

Had a chat with Vasko over the phone got a quote, him and his colleague came on time as spoken and charged what was promised, great quick easy going service, would recommend.

Got them to do 9 motorised, one with remote; I'm happy with them. They look better than the ones at my old place, lower profile and better recessed. I got 5 shutters in one room, they were able to put all the switches in a single location which is convenient and looks neater than a switch for each. The remote control hardware looks neat and modern. I'd be happy to get these guys if i need shutters at my next place.

Quotes were much cheaper than competitors. In one case, the quote from Northern Shutters for automated shutters was only $200 more than manual shutters from a competitor (total for three shutters). And install time was a couple months sooner too.

Contacted Northern Shutters for a quote on getting our house fully fitted with roller shutters (we had 4 done previously) and wanted to finish the house to make it complete.

Laze contacted us and inspected and measured our windows - advising on what would suit best for each window - including security grills on the smaller window (garage / toilet / laundry) - we made a few adjustments and then asked for a quote.

Laze was very understanding and patient with all our questions and queries in getting the right info and shutters for our house, even matching the battery operated shutters to what we currently have installed.

(We also requested a 2nd quote from another company and they were 12K over what Laz quoted us - so the pricing is VERY reasonably priced)

Booked the job - Laze's team came out on installation day - Jordan (electrician) to install the wires / connection for 1 window and move a light from one spot to another for us, then Alex and Bob (installers) installed all the shutters in one day (very commendable work) - massive job and did a fantastic job in getting them all done.

There were a couple of minor queries - which I checked with Laze and they were fixed within the next couple days.

I would recommend Laze and his team to install window shutters, the whole team was very professional and polite, straight forward and HONEST, very patient and easy going from start to finish.

And since having the whole house done - I have noticed a HUGE difference, especially since we got them installed just before Winter.
Will be interesting to see when Summer arrives.

We had our shutters installed today by Norhern shutters. It was done perfectly. Laz, came around couple of weeks back and went through in detail about the type of shutters and given us enough time to choose our colors. Very professional from start to end. They gave us the lowest quote with the best service. They told us it would take 2-3 week to get the shutters cut, it took less than a week. Definitely will recommend to family and friends.
