Northern Kids Therapy reviews
5 Our non-verbal Autistic 3 year old son goes to Northern Kids Therapy weekly, and we have the ever so accommodating Makayla as his Speech Pathologist. Makayla is so patient, endearing, and engaging. In just the space of a couple of months, he has made amazing progress, even learning simple sign language, and we cannot thank Makayla enough! She really does have my child's best interests at hand.
The whole team at Northern Kids are lovely and I highly recommend them.
Very disappointed, we went in after a referral from another parent for our son with autism, but these people have no empathy or care.
After spending numerous weeks with our son they pathologist was not even able to establish a connection let alone teach him something.
All we got is a big bill and hollow promises.
Please don't waste your kids important time on such places.
We have been clients at Northern Therapy for Kids since the beginning of 2021. We have Makayla as our Speech therapist. She is AMAZING her knowledge, professionalism and attitude is faultless. In the 8 years we have been seeing a Speechie, she has enabled us to gain results like never before. My son loves her sessions and we are able to incorporate the strategies easily into our everyday life. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. The clinic is brand new, modern and spotless clean! Tahlia has done an amazing job on creating a beautiful space with wonderful staff. We are also lucky enough to see Kim from Move Play Grow Physiotherapy at the clinic. The gym is fantastic and Kim’s bubbly and fun personality makes the session incredibly fun for our son, who asks if he can go to see her every day after school! If you are looking for a new service provider I highly recommend you give Northern Therapy for Kids a call.they are also about to recruit some OT’s making this a fabulous one stop shop for busy parents whose kids need some allied health services.
We would like to say a big thank you to Northern kids therapy for helping our family. We are grateful to have met the director, Talia. She is a passionate and highly experienced speech pathologist. Talia has unconditionally supported us during our ups and downs, answering my phone calls and texts when I needed her the most!
I have also met several staff members at the clinic, these are young and passionate therapists who continously upskill themselves because they want to become more knowledegable in helping special need kids and their families to succeed. We need to understand that therapy is an additional support for our children, it is not something that happens over night, a therapist cannot do all the work themselves, it is not a magic. We must work as a team. Parents need to be patient as it is a continuous journey. Northern kids therapy staff has done a great job in helping our child succeed. I have no doubt that our relationship will only become closer as we learn more about each other, as our main goal is to work as a team and help our child to reach their maximum potential.
Our son's speech therapist, Makayla, has been nothing but supportive when it comes to his development and our journey as a family.
Having a child on the spectrum can be challenging, but also seeing his progress has been rewarding. We're proud of our son and we're proud of what he's becoming.
Ultimately, parents have to follow their children's lead and to adjust the way they support their kids according to what's most effective.
We're glad we have Makayla and Northern Kids to support us along the way, especially when we were so lost in the beginning and had no idea where to start when it came to therapy.
The best thing about Makayla is that not only is she our partner in supporting our boy, she genuinely cares about him. She wants to make sure he gets all the help possible and she celebrates his wins. We're grateful.
