16Good flavour, relatively fast service, great atmosphere. A perfect choice if you want a less crowded restaurant.
Northern Dumpling has half decent dumplings but some of other menu items are a bit suspect. One dish we ordered was just a large plate of what I assume was frozen mixed vegetables deep fried in some kind of salted egg batter. Not the place to get adventurous with the menu. Stick to the staples and you'll be okay.
I love this place. The food is fresh and beautifully cooked, and they have great dumplings. Portion sizes are reasonable for the price. The service is okay, but they are often understaffed, so there is sometimes a wait.
One of my favorite spot for lunch. Convenient, affordable price and yummy. The dumplings and spicy chilli fish are my must order.
Definitely not going back. Food iis the same as the one in food courts but more expensive. The fried rice is very ordinary and serving is just not worth the price and this goes with the pork and the dumpling. Zero customer service.
Poor customer service. We gave them a second chance by giving another visit today. But it was a mistake, wasted time, money. Wont be coming back again. They dont care about customer service. Ordered chicken n prawn dumplings and special fried rice. Nothing special about those rice. When we asked for chilli oil, they said they dont have it, its finished. We were so dissappointed. Who runs a chinese restaurant offering dumplings but no chilli oil. It should be a priority to keep stock of it. Its a business. The excuse given was supplier delaying chillis from over a week. It may not be a big deal for some. But when you make a choice to come to a restaurant over going to foodcourt to enjoy good food and service, it ought be a big deal. We regretted coming here and wasting our time and money. They were not even apologetic (for sake of it) but arrogant. You lost another customer. Bye bye.
Just went there at 8.15pm, been told they are only doing take-away! It's a Saturday night! I think they were being discriminatory as there were other patrons inside, eating. What sort of restaurant tells people they are doing take away only an hour or more before closing? Doesn't make sense when the restaurant is pretty empty. There will not be a next time.
Service is TERRIBLE! It was a Sunday afternoon, but it wasnt busy in the restaurant. The waiters were chit chatting in the counter. There was a signage asking customer to wait at the front for seated, but nobody came and served us at all, so we had decided to walk in and ask for a table. The lady was rude when we asked for a table, making us feel like we were unwelcomed.
After we sat down, the table was only set up for 2 people, but we got 4 people, so we asked for extra cutlery. First, the lady brought 2 extra plates. Then the other 2 persons were left with no spoons and forks. We had to ask again, then she would only bring the spoons and forks. When dishes came, all 4 of us got no bowls, so I had to ask for the bowls again! Then we had to ask for another 2 spoons cuz we weren’t provided any in the beginning. The table wasn’t set up properly at all and there was no customer service.
I’m not sure if they were racist or what. All other new walk-in customers (caucasian), they were served normally and got their table set up properly, unfortunately ours wasn’t. When i spoke Chinese to the guy, and he couldnt understand and i have to clarify in English. I thought he might not speak Chinese. But then I heard that he spoke fluent Chinese with the other waiter. It was such an insult to me as I speak Chinese my entire life! Or maybe i should think on a more positive side, maybe he wants to practise English with me so thats why he pretended not to understand Chinese?
I found that the waiters were rude to other customers too. Honestly, if they are having a bad day, maybe they should be home and take a rest instead of torturing other customers. We are not here to receive Karen’s kind of service.
To be fair, I used to come here before the pandemic, it was all good and normal. Unfortunately i wont be back anymore.
While the aesthetics of the place is inviting, the poor customer leaves much improvement for this place. We ordered sweet n sour chicken which was delicious, more chicken than capsicum and onion which was a nice change! The chilli oil had no flavour or kick to it. The chicken and prawn dumplings were good but tasteless without good chilli oil. We asked for fresh chilli.to be told they don't have any! How can a dumpling place have no fresh chilli. No alternatives were offered.we asked if they had any other chilli and was told 'No'. Disappointing customer service and lack of chilli means we definitely won't give it another go.
I would like to rate 4 stars firstly, untill we had no water refilled for over 1 hour.

Omg very bad and rude customer service. We were treated extremely badly from when we entered the restaurant. Although the restaurant was not at full capacity we were not allowed to sit where we would have liked to sit. Even asking him about a particular dish he replied so rudly, I think he was the owner/ or whoever he was. Never ever will I go there I will be complaining to the Forest hill chase customer service as well.
Very arrogant people, the service was poor and they were generally very rude people. Would give 0 stars if there was an option:/
Lovely food.
Restarant workers were not friendly and no thanks for attending the restaurant.
Asked for container to bring home left over dumplings.
After paying $100 for lunch for 3 people
They insisted I pay 20 cents for the container.

I was with my 8 months old baby and the guy made it extremely difficult for me to get in. I am fully vaccinated and requested him to let me in as I was holding my 8 months old And then I can show him the certificate. He was super rude and advices me to leave and also cough on me saying he has COVID now.
NEVER EVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE…they don’t deserve to be in hospitality.
Rude customer service and not professional at all. Especially the men server. With all of these bad reviews, it’s a miracle they’re still operating.
I ordered a seafood dish via UberEat and had a food poisoning that night. The whole day I had the same food with my family except this dish I ate it myself as they didn’t like spicy food. I had a very severe food poisoning - vomiting, chills, legs/hands numbness, fever. Couldn’t work nor take care of kids. I just called the restaurant asking to speaking to the manager and indicating I wanted to report a food poisoning case. The guy answered the phone replied she left for the day maybe call back tomorrow. Instead of asking my contact details, I had to make him promise he will deliver the message to his manager … with his unprofessional answer of “I’m sorry” with laugh I really don’t know if he’s taking me seriously? I personally won’t step into this restaurant for the rest of my life nor ordering delivery again from them.
