Northcote Northside Boulders reviews
31Great vibes, good coffee, good boulder problems. Convenient to the train, trams and Northcote village
Best place for bouldering, you can have multi-membership for 3 gym
And change your gym inf you want
It's dog friendly and they make great coffee. What's not to love? It can be quite busy at times though
Awesome, friendly staff, especially for a novice first timer like me. Climbs were tough but it had enough entry level stuff to keep it doable
Another great climbing gym from the Northside crew. The routes are always changing and the quality is pretty good! It’s a nice, bright space with lots of variety. Best of all younger kids can climb (supervised) which is great for my 6yr old daughter who’s desperate to put me to shame). There’s a free 2hr car park 1min away, street parking and Northcote high street for treats afterwards. Check it out
It is a very good bouldering facility and not too crowded in general! Really friendly staff too, would definitely recommend:)
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. The climbs specialise primarily in overhang so you need to watch your technique if you want to climb longer than an hour to preserve some strength and energy. There's a decent section of vertical which always has good balance routes. The climbs are well designed and very enjoyable to solve. The facilities are good too, plenty of pigeon holes to put your stuff and a big sink for hand washing so you don't need to go into a toilet to clean your hands before heading off after a session.
Superb and relaxed gym, with challenging routes and plenty variety for all levels. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The mats are quite firm so a down climb is definitely recommended. Falling from the top would be pretty painful. The climbs are more spaced out compared to Brunswick, which kinda means that there's less to climb. I would say that Brunswick caters more to beginners as well. Nonetheless, decent climbs and good vibes. Much quieter compared to Brunswick as well.
New gym, with a very nice cave. It's a bit cramp for the warm up areas and stretching. Mostly good when it's not packed.
