Would not recommend, wanted to love this hotel but couldn’t. Rooms are very dated, dirty, moldy shower curtains, cob webs in bathrooms. Tried to eat at the pub attached to the hotel but was told no modifications allowed to the food… even if it’s an allergy. I simply wanted no cheese/dairy on my sandwich and they could not make that concession. Very odd. The manager Tammy could not care less, was very unsatisfied with how our group was treated and left to eat down the street. Would highly recommend staying elsewhere! Really disappointed with the whole experience.

We haven't stayed, rather pop in for a drink as we walk past. Great location, food reasonably priced, full bar. Have tried wood fired pizza, very nice. Good variety of pub meals on menu. Most importantly, dog friendly on balcony.

Can't believe how much this place has jacked its price up ahead of the busy season. It's a joke. Locals support this place all through winter! We came once a week and enjoyed a half size Parma - which was fantastic. Perfect size meal and affordable for families with teens. Came this week- half size option gone and the full-size option price rise was far beyond inflation rates and they reduced the serving size and quality! We are done supporting this dump.
Bad service. Average food. High prices. Can't wait for the new pub, this place is stupid.

So strict with mask mandates they wouldn’t except a medical exemption. I ordered food and a drink and when I went back up to order another drink they stopped serving me because I had no mask. I explained I had a medical exemption and they honestly don’t care. I asked for a mask so we could finish our meal and they wouldn’t give me one.

If you forget your mask, loose it, accidentally break your mask and even have a medical condition they DO NOT CARE about you. So so so strict.

Lost a customer for life

Went to hotel Phillip island down the road and they were amazing. Our new go to restaurant who actually care about people.

Excessive Security Measures Mar the Pub Experience

My recent attempt to visit this pub left me deeply disappointed due to the excessive and unwarranted security measures, specifically targeting my gay friend. While I understand the importance of maintaining a safe environment, the actions of the security staff were discriminatory and offensive.

Upon arrival, my friend and I were met with an overzealous security check that seemed disproportionately stringent. Despite complying with all necessary procedures, my gay friend was subjected to additional scrutiny, which was both humiliating and unnecessary. It was evident that he was being singled out based on his sexual orientation, a distressing experience that marred our evening before it even began.

Inclusive and respectful treatment of all patrons should be a fundamental principle for any establishment. Discrimination of any kind has no place in a modern, diverse society. The pub's management must address this issue promptly and provide sensitivity training to their security staff to prevent such incidents from recurring.

While security is essential, it should not come at the cost of dignity and respect. I hope the pub reevaluates its security policies and ensures that all patrons, regardless of their background, are treated with fairness and equality. Only then can it truly be considered a welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone.

Room was nice, clean and spacious. Bistro staff was nice and food was good. However, reception lady was quite abrubt. I didn't feel welcoming.

Looked good from outside but a bit rich that the ‘entitled’ security said that they lockout at 11pm. Honestly, is this Philip island or Sydney?

Price of a hotel but it’s like a motel. Room was dirty and there was a really bad smell in the room. Can’t have a good sleep here. I don’t recommend booking here!

Not bad. The rooms were a good size but very noisy at night you can everything. Walking distance from main road and right across the road from the beach.

Overall great spot to stay. We arrived a day early and the receptionist was rude on trying to check in to small reception out the back shouting
Repeatedly only 1 person allowed in here. So I had to wait outside while my husband explained we needed another night. She found a room but tomorrow we would have to move rooms and didn't know how long we would have to wait betwween moving rooms. She didn't want to hassle the cleaners as they were short staffed. Anyway the next day the receptionist were better and we could stay in the same room. View was great room was clean. Flights of stairs might be a challenge for some no lifts. Oh and Thursday morning road cleaners turn up at 630 and are super noisy for about half an hour. Pizza was yum and quick service too Will stay again but book ahead.

Great views from the bay view rooms on the upper levels. Only problem was that there was a massive party happening at Cowes Pier late into the night that weekend and the noise levels from the crowds and the loud music kept us awake. To add to that there was a fair bit of police sirens and lights flashing which added to the disturbance. Perhaps sound proof doors and double glazed windows might help somewhat.

I didn't get to stay due to covid 19. No refund given. $ 3100 stolen from me, nothing but a rip off

I love the sounds of the crying anti-vaxxers while I eat my perfectly cooked pork ribs and follow it down with some great beer on tap.

The service was friendly. However the food fell short of the mark. The steak was a bit tough and chewy. Coleslaw was way too sweet.but overall it was somehow ok.

A joke of a hotel, 5 of us mates weren’t allowed to eat dinner there because 2 were 17, kids are allowed to eat and have dinner with their parents but we couldn’t have dinner as a group of friends 100% unfair
