North Melbourne Fish and Chips

Best piece of battered flake i have had in Melbourne for a long time, flake was a large portion compared to other fish & chip shops, was also cooked nice & crispy with a large serving of chips, again, heaps of nicely cooked chip, I drive from East Melbourne to this shop, thats how good the food is.

One of the top fish and chips spots in melbourne. Crispy light batter and fresh tasty chips. Highly recommended

Flake is always fresh and juicy with perfect light and crispy batter. Their battered deep fried steamed dim sims are some of the best I've ever had.

Just had first buger hear 4out of5 good quality food well worth $11 a hamburger with the lot bloke serving needs 2 talk more 2 costumers but Il be Back again

Old school, high quality fish and chips with excellent service. Traditional batter, (not too thick). Great fish, yummy dim sims and perfect potato cakes too. You’re missing out if you do t go there! We’ve been looking for fish and chips THIS GOOD for so long that we just about fave up the search. So glad we found Nth Melb Fish & Chips!

When living in Nth Melbourne this was "our to go to place".
Now when I come back to Melbs I always make an effort to get some well cooked Blue Grenadier and chips. Potatoes cakes and Hamburger with the lot are very yummy too.

Great fish and chips, fresh, tasty batter with a good crispiness, friendly service, fries are not bad (which is rare). Definitely would go back again, thanks for the delicious meal!: D

Quick service, always the best fish and chips, fresh and delicious. Hamburgers are really good too, but the chips are by far the best in North/West Melbourne area.

Good food, but I've never been served by a more miserable and disinterested individual. This man couldnt manage the faintest positive response, let alone any helpfulness.
I had to work it out for myself as he wouldnt answer my enquiry. I felt resented for spending money here so I'll make sure that I dont trouble him in the future, and neither should you. I'm enjoying visiting Melbourne less these days.

Had a steak sandwich and minimum chips because I was on my way there to have a meeting. Chips were nice and crisp.

So damn good. Might just be the best fish and chips I’ve had in my life. Prices are also great. I paid $10 for hack and chips.

Great value and friendly staff. Flake and Whiting both moist, well cooked and crispy batter. Beautiful Sausage in batter according to 10 year old! Potato cakes and chips crisp outside and soft inside! Most definitely recommend and will be back for sure
