Amazing synagogue with an amazing rabbi that leads an amazing congregation so much fun being part of it.

The people here are friendly fun and the food is amazing! A great congregation to join in the North East of Melbourne.

A warm and inviting community with a knowledgeable and supportive rabbi and rebbetzin. The shule runs the usual Shabbat and festival services plus numerous events and classes throughout the year, making it a really nice place for regular members and casual visitors. I very much like connecting with other fellow Torah-lovers at the North Eastern Jewish Centre. Rabbi Menachem Sabbach, Rebbetzin Bassie Sabbach and other kindred souls often facilitate open discussions. This is done through ' Q&As, shiurs and 'Ask the Rabbi' sessions to guide the ardent apprentice towards a greater level of insight and practical ways to use the treasures of the Talmud. When you delve into the four levels of Torah interpretation (through PaRDeS), you expand your awareness and hence your spiritual life. Rabbi Menachem Sabbach is an expert here and someone skilled in guiding the curious soul.

The most welcoming and beautiful place. Although everything is so professional, yet the warm welcome every single visit is food for your soul. No matter the event, an amazing visit for the whole family. This place is home, it is family.

The North Eastern Jewish Centre (NEJC) run many and varied events for the community both directly and online. Events encompass broad themes from women's candle-making, challah-bakes, movie, poetry and guest-speaker nights as well as the very popular themed luncheons for Shabbos. NEJC welcomed me to lead an information night about Mental Health First Aid to discuss the ever growing concerns across all demographics. I noticed that NEJC is blessed with a group of admirable volunteers who work behind the scenes to contribute to a real sense of community and care which is one of the primary protective factors related to mental health.

Our family needed a spiritual home. We needed a spiritual guide and Rabbi Mennachem and Rebbetzin Bassie opened their hearts and home, their Shul to us. They have taught us so much, answered so many questions, involved us and allowed us to be part of this beautiful Jewish community, yet while we are still not Jews yet. They made us love to become Jewish, allowed our girl to now graduate with her Bat Mitzvah and soon start our journey to conversation. Thank you so much Rabbi Mennachem and Rebbetzin Bassie for taking our hands and make us feel at home.

I've attended the North Eastern Jewish Centre for the past couple of years always welcomed with open arms by Rabbi and Rebbetzin Sabbach and one of the warmest congregations around. Something I really look forward to is Rabbi Menachem Sabbach's Shabbat message. Through his sense of humour, his obvious passion for all things Torah and the way he delves into various levels of meanings, I am constantly moved and encouraged. I feel very fortunate to also have Rebbetzin Sabbach share her wisdom and insights from a feminine point of view. She organised the last event I went to; Israeli dancing followed by a Tu B'Shevat Seder. The conversations, atmosphere and genuine connections that night makes me feel like I'm a part of a great big family.

I have been a member from the very beginning this is my second home. Love the support and community.
