Delicious food, amazing staff - this place is truly underrated, been coming here for the past 2-3 years and has never let us down. The takeaway portions are also very generous.

We got takeaway on Friday night, and it was delicious. The food from here was good previously but they seem to have taken it up a notch!

Really disappointing meal, will not be ordering from this restaurant again. The hokkien noodles were way overcooked with no texture and the beef was so chewy it was inedible. Not even worth one star.

NO RESPECT FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS!

After clarifying both prior to ordering via phone and writing specific requirements as per instructions - I discovered egg in my meal.

I called the restaurant to confirm whether or not ANY of the meal was checked by the chef - I also provided a order number. The woman providing customer service said nothing was made per request, promised a refund and we ended the call.

I did not choose to get my food remade as they refused to deliver it.

Within 2 minutes I was called back and then accused of lying! I had to send a screenshot via text of my receipt with clear dietary instructions! After she saw the receipt via text she apologised and then hung up on me. If I could leave zero stars I would!

Best Thai food we've likely ever had. We've been going for years and love it. The food is always consistent.

Lovely atmosphere at this restaurant and comfy chairs. We were extremely disappointed with the Gang dang chicken curry and the Gang pett ped Yang duck curry in that it was mostly vegetables and we had to search for the meat. Our other dishes, especially the green papaya soft shell crab salad were delicious. The manager didn’t believe us when we said there were only 2 pieces of duck in the dish.

Since coming back to Melbourne from Sydney I have struggled to find a nice local Thai restaurant until I stumbled across Nongkhai Thai. The food was fresh and delicious, delivery was swift, and customer service is very accomodating (one item was incorrect and rectified satisfactorily and quickly) will absolutely keep ordering and dining with them.

Pretty poor experience. Take away, first time order. Serving sizes were unusually small, prices were unusually high, food itself was disappointing. Staff weren't particularly welcoming, quite difficult to park nearby. Can't imagine placing a second order.

We get the Pad Thai every time and it always hits the spot! We love the curries too and the service is lovely.

I’ve now tried 3 times through Uber with this place and every place there’s always an issue. They’ve cancelled orders last minute leaving the family disappointed so I had to go in n then they said there was nothing they can do cos they gave my order to someone else by accident & told me to go through Uber eats.
2. They charge a lot more than other places and serving sizes are poor, the satay sauce with the roti is tiny & the pad Thai noodles aren’t the noodle pad Thai noodles they’re like stick thin.
3. Cos I live around the corner I ordered through them again, said it’ll coming in 15-25 mins, it’s been over an hour nearly 9pm & my poor Uber driver is still waiting. They’re service is ridiculous and to be honest after this I won’t be going through these guys again. Pathetic

Love this place, very fresh food. We normally do take away but the atmosphere is cosy for dining in. A good place on the border of pascoe Vale and Strathmore

Beautiful atmosphere and furniture! Food is very tasty, good vegetarian options and friend staff. My local Thai restaurant that I frequent regularly.

Took mum here for dinner on a referral from a friend. The food arrived Luke warm. It was Lacking in authenticity and spice. Overpriced and Staff wanting to constantly clear the table whilst we were still eating and the restaurant was empty. First time for us and it’s the last. Ty

I ordered the stir-fry black bean and the beef fry was not cooked properly in the sauce and spices as there was raw garlic still in the plate served uncooked and the rice was uncooked and dry didn't taste like it was steamed properly had to take both dishes back as unsatisfactory. However I enjoyed the banana fritter with ice cream and my coconut juice was great.

If the chef had put passion into his cooking rather than hit and go I would have ordered more serves but being my first time eating here not best place for second visit.

Customer service was not that great as the girl at front didn't know what she was doing and so the customer had to do her job. Where is management? It was very expensive and uncooked service!

Super slow. Still waiting for my food. Very poor customer service. Waited 30mins to take order with an empty restaurant. And another 45mins for the food to come out

Great food. Great comfy chairs and tables.
Would be great if they could find enough staff to cover all the tables.
We've been a number of times and they only have 1 or 2 staff working to cover a full house.
The poor servers are run off their feet.

We used to order from this place for a long time. Food has been great all this time.

But today we had a really bad experience. It looked that they were understaff. We waited for a long time for food. All the food we ordered were very ordinary. Specially the Pad thai was too sweet (we could have had that for dessert) and the chicken was over fried.

Surprisingly this dish was on their today's special menu.

I dont think I will visit this place any sooner.

I ordered 2 noodle dishes, a beef massaman a serve of rice and a couple of roti.
I was told it would be 40 minutes and turned up to the store 45 minutes later. I got served after 5 minutes gave the guy my name and he went off to check what was happening with my order. He never actually told me but over the next 40 minutes he had to check my name 3 times and never once actually returned to talk to me.

1.5 hours after my initial order I finally got my food amongst a crowd of disgruntled people who had mixed to no messages on the state of their orders.

I was initially annoyed however when I ate the food I was pleasantly surprised. Everything tasted pretty amazing. I was almost ready to write a 4 star review until I had the massaman curry. After a few bites I realized that the beef was mostly raw. Not rare or medium rare but RAW.

I'm pretty disappointed by the overall experience. If the store put together a coherent ticket system and communicated better with customers I'm sure things would be better and I might return. But for now I'm not sure if the addition of raw beef makes me want to return.

Always apprehensive to try a new place for weekend takeaway but was pleasantly surprised. Got 4 different dishes and all were delicious. Safe to say we will be coming here more often to get our Thai fix.

If you are someone who is going to this place to buy take away then good luck with that. Waited for more than an hour and they behave like they don’t even see you there waiting for food. One of the worst places to go.
